A Strong Woman

A strong woman doesn’t have to have the body that only society wants.
A strong woman doesn’t have to run a marathon.
A strong woman doesn’t have to wear a size zero.
A strong woman doesn’t have to have marvelous muscular masculine legs.
A strong woman doesn’t have to bike up a mountain.
A strong woman doesn’t have to work out for hours to make her tough.

A strong woman has the look of confidence written across her face.
A strong woman still stands tall when she is full of sorrow.
A strong woman does everything at a steady pace.
A strong woman won’t be afraid.
A strong woman keeps her head held high.
A strong wouldn’t care about what she weighed.
A strong woman never gives up.
A strong woman through hard times.
A strong woman is always tough.

Working long hours to make money,
She still makes time to ask,
“How was your day, honey?”
Instead of having a tall, strong stance,
She goes crazy
And she does the Carlton Dance.

She will turn your frown
Upside down.
She will always be there to help you-
For everything you go through.
She will have that shoulder to cry on.
Always- dusk until dawn.

She gives you the clothes on your back.
She gives you the food in your stomach.
She gives you the shelter above your head.
Even when she’s hanging by a thread.

You may say your super-hero is Spiderman…
Or Superman…
But my hero is my mom…
Because my mom is a strong woman.

Five generations strong

Life is not about seeking fame & fortune
life is beautiful in so many other ways
life is family 5 generations strong
sharing memories & stories from beyond
passing truth & love from a special bond
When you have family who stand strong
who are there for you in your storm
you have all the ritches in the world
 golden treasures in eachother
 all apart of one another..

Dedicated to Tracey & Melinda..

I'm Not As Strong As You Think I am

I'm not sure how much more of this I can take,
At any given moment, I may break.

It's harder than I thought, to watch you die.
I say "I'm good", but it's just a lie.

Every visit, leaves me broken.
With every jumbled sentence spoken,

You fight so hard, to maintain your grip.
Even still, I watch you slip.

I'll laugh and smile, as long as I can,
But I am not as strong as you think I am

I am Strong

Here I am
Just as myself
Never stepping down
Always in leadership
And I refuse to wear a frown

I’ve fluttered up from the bottom
Released my pessimistic views
Like a dove with broken wings
They have healed,
And away I flew

I can’t be broken down
You will see me as a whole
The pieces held together
By my family pure as gold

I work to make my living
Sometimes it is so tough
But I wouldn’t change a second
What is life without love?

In the place that I live
Not the nicest
Far from best
But we are working our way up
My family’s stronger than the rest

Don’t take me as a bragger
But my confidence is firm
If I can make it through a tragedy
Then surely,
I can make it through a storm

Strong woman
That woman
Who tears behind the mirror?
Made me who I am
My hardened heart she took
Tenderized it with love
Took my salty tears
Turned into joyful tears

That woman
Who sighs behind the mirror
Sighs in memory
Memories and feelings
Hardships she went through
To feed my whole stomach

That woman
The woman pulling back her mucors
Does so in fear
Fear that ill not be what she hoped
That teared woman
Crys in fast and prayer
Crys for my dark self
Cries for my future

That woman crying
Tears down her body fluids
Hopefully that her anger and disappointments
May atleast flow out with them
Her body almost running dry by now
That woman calls upon God
GOD atleast make him better
That woman cries for me
That woman cries for her lineage
That woman cries night and day

How I came to be
To be what I am
I don’t know how
A slave of the world
A slave with one work song
A song entitled failure
The first stanza of calamity
The last stanza dead man where I am heading

Looking at her cry
Twists my brains
Is this what I am?
Is this my purpose to the world?
Is this the man the world wants?
Is this what God spent time Molding
Is this what the bible describes?
Just for her
Just for her I take my life back
Just for her God I stand strong
Just for her I say no
NO no no this is not me

Come mummy take this handkerchief
I don’t wannna see those tears again
I love you mummy

Strong At Will

A beautiful man,
Strong at will,
Comforting those,
With more to spare,
A growth small,
Time will tell,
Walls of each cell,
Holding pain to fall,
History has lead,
The fact of death,
Given dates,
Marking with an X,
The heart keeps moving,
Promising a thin line,
Forming an answer,
Living or dying,
As he looks over,
The colors fade,
Moving slowly,
Squinting to see the shade,
His child kneels,
To pray for Dad,
The agony kills,
Expecting the bad,
Cold room,
Cold memories,
Many people in mind,
Pages listing,
Of information read,
Knowing what they could find,
Finding hope,
On each date to see,
The circle to know,
What’s in store to dream?
We’re not promised today,
But live like we are,
Know that some,
Just want to get far,
Cancer is sick,
The card not to pick,
Accepting new discoveries,
Remaining real is wealth,
Only promised this moment,
The rest is our health.

Eleven Years Strong

Many people dream of having what you share...

Love within
Each other!
Verisimilar love &
Enthusiastic promises of "Death Do Us Part"
Never-ending passion

Yearning of
Amatory of
Satisfaction of compromised love!

But only few stick together throughout the journey....

My Uncles' Hands Were Strong

     My Uncles’ Hands Were Strong…
My uncles’ hands were strong:
fathering children they never had.
My uncles’ hands were strong;
yet gentle like the chiseled hands
of Michelangelo’s Pieta:
strong saintly shooting hands
that touched tender souls with gentleness
only undying love could give.

On their bent backs
rose a Siamese nation
of oppressors and the oppressed:
a Janus nation whose face reflected
mockery of its supposed democracy.

My uncles’ hands were strong;
strong like steel hammers and anvils:
strong fisted hands breaking chattel chains.

Yes, my uncles’ hands were strong:
and the strong men just keep coming on…!

Being Strong

Daddy shut his eyes and cried,
each drop echoed in the waiting room,
the hollow halls echoed
babies crying.

Daddy shut his eyes and cried
his stern eyes looked away
and I asked him, "Daddy why are you crying?"
no reply.

Daddy shut his eyes and cried
not knowing what to do,
I danced in crinoline proper-pink,
first dress Daddy bought,
one I wore to see his smile.

Daddy shut his eyes and cried,
looked at me, smiled,
and gave me a bear-hug
"Your Mom's going to be okay"

Daddy shut his eyes and cried
the clock ticked twice,
out came mom in her wheelchair,
and Dad's eyes dried.

where the heart is strong

When I was young, I had no desire to grow roots.
Home happened where ever I kicked off my boots.
Now that I have traveled many lands,
I wish only to go back home.
To feel it, to see it, to hold it in my hands.
I wish no longer to roam.
Youth tends to be arrogant and blind.
Not knowing what I had, for home was mine.
Now it is the place for which I yearn.
The place from which I came, and wish to return.
The passing of time can have a strange effect on the heart.
After many wasted years, one wants to be back where we start.
Funny how being away for so long can change a soul.
Just as equally strange how coming home can make one whole.
This is where I will always belong,
For this is where my soul is at ease and my heart beats strong.

Stay Strong

They break down and cry
I want us back
I want us together again
When is she coming home?
I want to give her a kiss
They are so young how would they understand?
Please don’t wait for me don’t cry for us
For one day you will see
That you are strong you can hold on
You can do this
I’m not saying you have to do this without me
Because I will always be there but be strong
I know you can
You have my blood in you
That’s more than enough to convince me
Just keep this in your head
Stay strong
For these will be the words you need to learn to live by
I love you

Let's Keep Marriage STRONG

Let’s Keep Marriage Strong! In marriages, we often fail to Be take time to communicate… To be honest with each other… Truthful and straight! In each other… We need to look for the BEST! And not treat each other like a “pest.” We don’t need to speak words that’ll cause harm… But to love each other with an opened arm! May we serve one another with compassion and love! Knowing we were brought together from God above! Just think about the first day you were wed… Remember the words; “I love you” were often said! We need to keep marriages together no matter the cost! Divorce leads to so much tragedy and a huge loss! By Jim Pemberton

Solid and Strong

To live and love,
is a blessing from above.
I watch my family grow everyday,
In every possible way.
My children are my life,
And soon I'll be his wife.
My love for my family continously grows,
And all the love they have for me really shows.
We have gone through so much together,
We'll fight side by side forever.
We are solid and strong,
And with that we'll never go wrong.
We fight everything that comes at us,
Nothing can take us down, not even a bus.
We are solid and strong,
And with that we'll never go wrong.

My Big Strong Man

I really miss my big strong man
and the way he touches me
with his big strong hands.

For now he has to be away from me,
but in 21 months, he will be free!!
He has his doubts, and I understand,
but only HE is my big strong man.

So until he is out and can be with his son & me,
I will wait until we two can be three.
We miss you daddy, and don't you forget,
because we DO remember, so don't you fret.

I think right now things are as they should be,
but don't ever forget that until the right time,
I will wait until my big strong man can hold me again
and walk a straight line!

Strong Women

My family is a family
Of strong women
Of that there is no doubt
These women
Have withstood
The challenges of their times.

All of life’s trials
The worst of the worst
History has not been kind
Deaths, rapes and murders
They have had to live with daily
Live with on their minds.

Unexpected circumstance
Have tested my ancestral women
And they somehow survived
And somehow they managed to live on
Sometimes all alone
And to go on and to thrive.

And now in the Halls of History
They can stand up and be counted
Among those women
Among the best of the best
Those who are still considered to be
Strong Women.

So Very Strong!

So very strong, so very high and free on flying,
I am in love with you and keep in arms, we are not lying,
I feel this summer like one day where we are happy,
Smiling and far away from work and talk,
From cold and cheese now are dying:
Ice-cream no more!
Eat, this tomato-pomidor (or badenjano),
Was made from bold, many years milk was in cold
And dark place underground,
Eat now, please, my baby cheese, and I also try this piece,
It is the best restaurant that I found!
And when the sun would smell in the sky,
And we would together be like an ice with tonic, -
Kiss me and freeze by orange piece -
Our life is so supersonic!
This way is Music, not so grey,
It's very bright and merry day,
And people make this funny jazz
From sunny gas, yes, really on the way to the House
Of Singing and Dancing, hey-o-hey!
Let happy life be every day so sweet again
And merry music is always playing,
And I am flying,
And I am loving,
And I am praying!

Together strong

I don't know how it started,
Not even how it all began.
But God created family,
Amd he gave us the grace to be part of the joy of a family.
The forever love of a family shows the great work of God,
To prevail, pass through, and to conquer over all our weakest of moments and times.
To give our time to mend a broken heart.
A family Is like a circle, the connection never ends, and even if at times it breaks, in time it always mends.
I was born into this race, when the rest of us were weak,
You have and shown courage at its highest pea, you are the true, define meaning of strength.
For we can all count on each other in both the good and bad moments of our life's.
We have each other's shoulder to cry on
Our ears to listen to our joy,
Our heart to live each other
And our hands to help out,
The love and support of a family is unconditional.
