~The Narwhal Beckons Before Dawn~

If I could sing a song,
It wouldn't be just any song.
I would sing a song about a fish
A fish who is not a fish, but a whale
Not just any whale, A Narwhal

This night I'll sing a short song of a whale
Dancing under the moonlight dusk
Swimming with ivory tusk, underwater musk
Rising to the morning glory in the sky
Communicating with the waves
Squealing around,
Trilling and clicking supersonic sounds

If I could tell you a tale
It wouldn't be just any tale
I would tell you a tale of a fish
A fish who is not a fish, but a whale
Not just any whale, A Narwhal

Grayish brown,
White freckled belly crown
Elusive and mysterious
Without the Arctic water, I'll get delirious
A rare whale, with a tooth for a hoot
Enjoying shrimp, squid, and fish food
Taking care of the young,
I swim in pods all day long
I' stay away from what consumes my cod
Polar bears, orca whales and native spear
My greatest fear and nightmares.

If I could share some words
It wouldn't be just any words.
I would share some words about a fish
A fish who is not a fish, but a whale
Not just any whale, A Narwhal

Deep, down the ocean odyssey
My beliefs and skin peel easily
With a tear, I drown
When called "The Underwater Unicorn"
My words are naught more than a sad song I sing
A tale of a whale not just any whale, A Narwhal
The next time you go out to sea
Looking for blubber and ivory
Please don't look at me!
For I am just a Narwhal
And, I belong to the sea

Autumn dripping leaves of weary gold
Exits quietly, fading through the trees.
Hawthorn shakes her cloak of ruby fire.
Naked to the woods and twisting breeze.

Winter’s breath now lingers in the air.
Strands of whispered frost on silver lace.
Deep within the green a distant voice.
Calls the breeze to dance with chilling grace.

Winter’s tune plays keenly on the wind.
Snowflakes dance and play her melody.
Wrapped in fur she drapes the scene in white.
Nature shrouded, steeped in mystery.

Winter’s touch threads spider’s webs with gems.
Diamond drops of cold reflected glass.
Water turns to stone with breathless ease.
Frozen daggers arm each blade of grass.

Winter’s kiss enchants the wood to sleep.
Holly smiles and stains her berries bright.
Mistletoe wound tight on blackened bough.
Strands of pearl reflecting ghostly light.

Winter’s song plays on throughout the night.
Nature’s secrets slumber in the earth.
Spring will wake them with the sun’s return
Thaw the ground and call them to rebirth.

It's twelve days before Christmas, Love, and I am sitting here,
the hearth fire is burning bright, but on my cheek they're tears.
I hold the conch shell to my ear and call for you my dear.
Out across the briny deep a tempest cries beware.

The entry hall is full of garland, pine, spruce and mistletoe
The mirrors are all draped with ribbons, the brass all aglow
I hold the conch shell to me ear and stare out at the snow
remembering our last parting, I begged you not to go.

"Captain" said I "can you not see you take my heart from me?"
In his hand I placed a lock of hair, and a mustard seed.
He handed me a pearly conch shell from the Isle of Capri,
and bid me listen for his love song from the Southern Sea.

For twelve days, I've climbed stairs to the widows walk on high,
I clasp the token to my chest and search the sea near-by
So sad, yet sweet the mermaids sang, they of sailor's gone by.
They sang in sympathy, a song of longing with breathy sighs.

The cliff fires burn so bright now, he's coming on the tide.
The church bells are ringing now, soon they'll at anchor lie.
Had he heard me, had he called, had it been a dream I scryed?
T'was Christmas Eve and in the snow, he's landing with the tide.

Oblivious of the time and the few swimmers around me,
I lay sprawled on the soft sand underneath a colored umbrella,
Enjoying the gentle peace and calm of the evening dying sunset.

My friend brought me a large cocktail, much appreciated,
As the sweet salty breeze that wafted towards the lonely beach
Ruffling lightly the wavelets that quietly rolled onto the smooth sand.

Far away, the sparkling sea shimmered silently as a seagull screeched
And broke momentarily the minute murmur of the departing swimmers.
A slow sibilant whisper echoed from afar, a mermaid’s delight?

It was not so much a luring invitation but an earnest declaration
Of love that came from the dark deep below the dancing billows,
A sweet mysterious song of yearning and forgotten love.

Suddenly all was quiet again, except for the palpitations of my heart.
Incredibly my friend seemed oblivious of the mesmerizing song.
Must be the cocktail, he said as he watched the sun dying
Over the ocean and throwing long shadows behind us.

IMP. NOTE: Now the Poem cum Song "Take Me Away but..."can be heard on my Radio Air Play Radio Station of Radio Jango.com in 'Ravindra K kapoor Radio'

Take me away but I promise to sing a Song

Take me away from such a place,
Where feelings and emotions,
cannot be freely expressed.

Where new thoughts and ideas are crushed,
By the rod of power and corrupts.

Where mind do not get the opportunity to reveal,
its vast sea of beauty and varying colors.

Where love never flies freely in the sky,
while touching the unexplored lofty heights, and
wings of Poetry are nipped in the buds,
before they bloom and spread their smiles.

Where wind do not flow,
while touching the flowers and buds,
Where the butterflies do not have the freedom,
to show their varying moods and colors.

Where faiths have lost their grandeurs and glow, and
shrines are converted into suffocating barracks.

Where love has lost its magic of moving a heart,
to sing a song and dance on the call of its soul,
Where a vast sea of humans live,
without the freedom of expression.

Take me away from such a land and place,
Where people live in chains under iron curtains.

I promise I will come back to this land one day,
when the breeze will flow freely touching every heart,

When its people will have the freedom to fly on their wings,
I promise I will come back, to such a place one day,

When animals too would move without fear in their hearts, and
birds would be free to fly anywhere in the sky.

When the morning dew would greet the new rising Sun,
By glittering without fear, its silver and golden beams,
When flowers and buds would freely spread,
their alluring wings and fragrance in the air.

When the human mind would be free to explore and express,
its ideas and colors on the canvas of paper.

I promise I will come to such a land one day,
to Sing the song of joy and mirth.

I've listened to it's calling, in awes amazement
Felt the rush of the waves between my bare feet,
Allowing the bubbles of sea form to explode,
As I spread my toes digging them deeply,
 Within the beaches warm sand.
Then at this moment of perfect splendor,
I pondered in thoughts deep contemplation,
At natures raw marvelous wonderment.
Oh how I envy the seagulls above,
Whom soar above this blue blue aquatic world,
How free they seem to dive admits the powder clouds
Of the divine, crying in joys liberation.
These master fisher birds, gleaning morsels of
Food at the surf of the waters top layered edges.
White winged creatures hanging effortlessly
Upon breezes of air, rippling over the currents
 Tidal surges.
Behold the epic beauty of the timeless sea, it brings
The sacred heavens themselves to weep, the angelic
Angels tears fall from Nervous itself, melting the sky's
Blue to blend with the waves, giving the bluish tint to
The aquatic world of elegance beneath.
Against the sheltering coves coral reef,
Within the wake of the rolling riptides crashing,
Scattered are the delicate aquatic trumpets of Poseidon.
A tender weepings sounding, is heard within
The hardened shelled cocoon of the sea shells,
As they wash upon the sandy shore.
Hush now mortal and listen to the sweet song of
The sea, softly it so plays in meiotic rhythm,
Enchanting the vision insight of clarity, to beguilement
Of tranquility.
Can you not the hear the swaying of the tropical trees,
Lightly being caressed by the breezes of the sea,
On the distant shores of enlightenment.
At twilight's golden hour of sunset, the lord spreads
Wide his miraculous canvas, to display his master
Work of divinity.
A brilliance shimmering in light of the divine,
Held encapsulated within the sea shells song.

Mary Rose, the mighty sailing sea vessel glided majestically across the waves
She had robustly and bravely sailed the briny waves for many a night and day
With the ocean's heaving gusting squalls blowing off proud stern and mast
Sailing victorious and proud - her billowing white sails were cast
The calm, liquid waters of the sea flowed quietly purple for now-
Unaware of the coming storm that would beat furious against her bow

Her alabaster sails whipped violent and furious in the oncoming storm
Impending doom was yelling its cries while the seamen went unwarned
Down below, inside their cabins the seamen peacefully slept
Wrapped in the secure watch that their gallant captain kept
The oceans black, boiling waves beat savage against starboard and port
As Captain Noe standing fearless - at first quake, did not the storm report

The old wooden beams of the Mary Rose began to restlessly moan and creak
While the blackened roaring, rolling waves beat furious against her feet
Her alabaster sails rose proud- beating mighty against wailing squalls and gusts
While deep inside the bow in bunks, the sleeping seamen thrust

Suddenly...they heard the captain's distraught voice cry out
When the seamen heard his voice -they heard fear without doubt
“Awake, all of ye’ ”, Captain Noe forcefully roared
“Alive! Awake… all ye’ seaman come quickly up on board”!

The savage spirit of the sea reigned fierce with rage and fear
While the brave captain fought - loyal seaman brought up the rear
They courageously fought together - not silenced by the eye of death
As the sea raged violently against them with its brutal, menacing breath

To save their mighty Mary Rose, they’d dip their very souls in blood
Leaving themselves merciless against this drunken, mighty flood
With plank and bow standing fierce between them and their fate
The raging ocean’s fierce, blackened waves - the sea they could not hate

The morning brought the warming sun which rose broad above the waves
The winds had tamed their violent voice against captain and seaman brave
With unshakable courage and seaman’s wit not once were spirits broke
Each cheered his mate and captain strong as they fought with steady stroke
Their peril fought in days of danger and night filled with pain
Their manly courage did not wane - their fight was not in vain
For all the courageous seamen and their brave Captain Noe
Joined together in hand and spirit to save...their proud Mary Rose

She is the fish-maiden of the night, a temptress that croons to the sky wading on gills of fondled thoughts, the bearer of one fine shipmate’s doom coasting on forbidden passion and trance. On waters’ edge before the stars pale, her body swivels before an ensnared time of charmed maneuver , a hesitant prowl; till the gentle fondness weeps a lonely desire. Laying her man on the crib of soft navel an aching dusk breaks a mermaid's tune ; his breath gasping against the shore while she clings to a howling wind, pleading for rescue into deep cave of moss. I'm aware that
They'll dare me to surrender when my burner's unkindled
And the barrel is empty
Since their whiskey is missing

But it's in our blood and baby it's trickling and
We're on a roll

I heard from her and her merciless curves
That the curse'll come first
Just 'fore the rebirth
It's a thought that gets lost when you pitch it with a cross
O'er a plate made of moss so

I'll name it Shell from Sawed-Off
As I paint Hell from Far-Off

Like the Seraphim cherishing the heart
Who can't turn from the art
Like embarrassing a perishing enemy
Yeah, one last taunt

When told to listen as though it'd fix it
Something went missing
Although I didn't miss it
A relation on a ship quite distant and
Slightly free
Where the ocean switched and the compass died instantly

Oh it's in our blood, baby we're tricky so now
Out that ship has sailed

Like the Seraphim cherishing the shark
Who can flip 'round the ark
Like embarrassing a perishing enemy
Yeah, one last taunt

And our sweat is slightly trickling
A whiskey business, the highest feeling
And the pressure is highly tricky
A risky business, a godly healing

There's a part of me that still lives on the water
A part of me that you can never keep
Tears fill my eyes as I dream of the ocean
I see that island paradise in my sleep

My fishing boat lies sleeping in the harbor
Anchor weighing heavy on the ocean floor
I still miss all those nights at sea
My fishing boat will sail again no more

This was the life that I had chosen
From one port to another I would roam
Never stayed long enough to be familiar
Never knew a place I could call home

Sometimes I walk along the shoreline
Listening to her song out on the sea
That's when I know that someday I'll be leaving
The song she's singing is calling me

There is something magical in a night at sea
There's a million stars hanging all around
Untold stories lying behind me
New horizons yet to be found

Now that my sailing days are over
And my life is shifting gears
I can still resurrect those memories
When I taste the salt in my tears.

I've got a tropical obsession
I think I'm losing my mind
I want to see my work day done
Go out and have some fun
And leave the city life behind.

I love the roar of the ocean
The smell of tanning lotion
A secluded beach somewhere
There are coconuts in the trees
With a warm and gentle breeze
And a flower in your hair.

I've got a tropical obsession
It's driving me up a wall
I want the palm trees and the shore
Blue skies and so much more
Oh God! I want it all

There's an island in the sea
I can hear it calling me
Saying come on home today
I'll bring my old beach chair
Plant it in the sand somewhere
And that's where I'm going to stay

I've got a tropical obsession
And I just can't set it free
On an island remote
In a little fishing boat
Is where I want to be.

All aboard this ship of fools,
all aboard she's sailing,
all aboard this ship of fools,
for we are going a' whaling.

From the harbour our course we keep,
for the distant Antarctic water,
to find the leviathans of the deep,
and begin our bloody slaughter.

All aboard this ship of fools,
all aboard she's sailing,
all aboard this ship of fools,
for we are going a' whaling.

We say there is a scientific need,
to study these magnificent beings
we harpoon them, and watch them bleed,
as before our ship they're fleeing.

All aboard this ship of fools,
all aboard she's sailing,
all aboard this ship of fools,
for we are going a' whaling.

And still our leaders, they entreat
that we do this for the good of science,
but really it is for their meat,
that we kill these gentle giants

All aboard this ship of fools,
all aboard she's sailing,
all aboard this ship of fools,
for we are going a' whaling.

Physcologically, I gotta be
advancing like technology
enhancing from a model t
into the helicopter seat
but then i got a chopper beat
call in the mach three
have it fly in over the top of me
i'm coming up in this game
like taking property in monopoly
i hold it down like poverty
See logically i'm obviously
the prodigy of this prophecy
i got a lot on my mind
so i feel i got a lot to teach
like it was ancient philosophy
drop a beat & talk beliefs
then start to preach to the hard to reach
educate them properly
& before their brain is obsolete
sculpt that thing like pottery
so instead of makin a mockery
of the things you see when you watch tv
just stop to see then possibly
you wont feel like your lost at sea.

Your glorious emerald eyes
Glisten in the moonlight
Glisten in the moonlight
Delight dances in the water
I watch it joyfully
You are set free from the cage...
You're like a dove soaring in the sky
You are the rain...
drizzling down in ecstasy
A hint of ecstasy is shown in your reflection...
When you caress me... I'm relieved...
From the stress that forced me in chains
I knew we'd be on the brighter side of tomorrow
We're glistening in the moonlight
I knew we'd become candles in the heavens above us
We're glistening in the moonlight
For a moment, I felt your presence...your radiant with sympathy
I saw at first glance the dark side of you
Tonight, we'll be together and fly through the horizon
We'll watch the sunset say its last goodbye...
We'll wave a greeting at the moon!
We glisten in the moonlight...
What if I was as handsome as the lion...
Roaring with pride and pure courage
What if we were glistening in the moonlight?
Would it bring health to our bones tonight?
Would it make our heart rejoice and overflow with delight?
Would we be able to survive this horrifying plight?
Would we be shimmering like a candlelight?
We're glistening in the moonlight... (6)
Ohh...yeah...ooh yeah...ooh yeahh...
We reach to the stars and hope we can trace a shooting star
I feel the coolness run down my fingers...
We're glistening in the moonlight
You're the dandelions in the fields
You're the gorgeous view that I marvel at everyday
When you kiss me, I live my dreams
We glisten in the moonlight
In a quick moment, I sense a feeling of endless renewal
I roam inside of your illuminating maze
Glow on... sunshine...
Glow on...sunshine...
Glisten in the moonlight...
Listen to the truth and rub it in
You are ravishing like the sunset
But you're ascending while I'm descending
I feel extremely guilty
I wish I could glisten with you in the moonlight
You're glistening in the moonlight (6)
Ohhh yeahh... oohhh yeahh... ohh yeahh
You're glistening in the moonlight (4)
We go our own way
I wish we can glisten like the moon
Glisten like the sun
There's a dream concealed inside of me...
Reveal your light and pour it upon me
You glisten in the appealing moonlight
While I'm subsiding... you're fulfilling your dreams
Of gliding across the horizon
You're independence... keeps on scorching with satisfaction
While I'm below you...
Your emerald green eyes
Stared me down like a hawk...
Your emerald eyes
Gaze down at me genuinely...
I wish we could flee together in reality...
That could be a possibility
To glisten in the moonlight in glee
We were glistening in the moonlight (3)
But that was only a dream...
I'll pray that it turns into a reality
We were glistening in the moonlight
Now, I've misplaced my delight...
Will I ever experience such a brilliant night?

                 Wave a sea softened
and a pain and a tenderness
                   throw dreams in fascination
                   of the blue.
And let shave the waves of
                   Your eternity , oh, weigh
                    above me,
                    oh,weigh a coast of years.
                    Carry far in azure, spiral
                    ships,
                    with bulging little abdomens,
                    flutter with mahagony pinions
and already in vain expect you
                    to stop the scales harbours
with hot flames for You are
                    open.
Far away, far away ,far away,
                    stretched string,
                    heart and frank await the
                    hymn of June.
All sea sisters are dressed in
                    mother-of-pearl garment
                    embroidered of kiss of
                    eternity.
                    In the morning hunts them
                    fishermen and revive with
                    breath of their man’s hands.
                    In the evening girls wash
                    their black tunics,
                    in their blue hearts,
                    their feet white ,who cadge
                    heavy chains.
                    The night is squeezed enigma
                    and ugly,
                    predatory like a bat pecking
                    of scarlet fig.
                    Sea sisters, sea sisters,
                    remember His steps
                    which go through you noiselessly,
                  and ou swing like
                  bloody wine-
                 hold in His fingers Herod,
                 Pilate washes his hands,
                in Yours heirs
               and they bristled like winter
icicles bristles of innoncent blood .
               There at Golgotha
                hearing terrible cry,
                blood gushes like
               wounded river disappear
               like Easter roses,
              in weeds of flushed
     preditory crowd,
     to open way of
     saving.
     Who is He?
     Do you heard
     His name ?
     He is Messiah,
     God’s anoited
      Jesus Christ.
      Like little sheeps,
      clouds of candy floss,
      they welcome festivaly.
       Barefooted are feet
      of lovely swarthy steps
of the sun, came to bow,
      before You , Creator.
      The sea throws his
       magnificent silver flesh,
      blue like heavently lace,
       to swallow all stars
       only Bethlehem’s
      stays inextinguishable,
       pretty like uncreated
      like an apple of not
      born girl.

WHALE SONG

Here's a ballad of the Whale Song,
Translate and we'll all sing along,
Whales in the deep blue sea,
Fish tales for eternity.

Here's an enormous whale,
Swimming the sea for his grail,
Whales in the deep blue sea,
Fish tales for eternity.

There blows the great whale,
Harpoons we hope shall fail,
Whales in the deep blue sea,
Fish tales for eternity.

That's our ballad of the whale,
Singing their aeons of tales,
Whales in the deep blue sea,
Fish tales for eternity.

A world enchanted with blue and green
Secrets that are untold by human eyes
A place where some relics can never be found

Soft voices flowing through an Orphic world
 Moving along great ocean currents
The song of a dolphin that never ends
 Creatures of amity and peace

Eyes that show only perfect love and care
Love deeper than any known ocean
A spirit that lives in all tranquility
Sharing their love with a peaceful song

 Tenderness of creatures so gentle
That it can never be forsaken
 Like dream of dolphins sleeping
In a world enclosed by water

Abalone Song

The ocean tossed an empty shell, A swirled coil of pearly emptiness glowing softly on the shifting sand. What creatures lived and loved--secured deep inside the silky walls of abalone? What torrent tore the creature's heart and ripped it from its shell to die alone? Or did it simply crawl away Unseen, abandoned. Does it live somewhere else Without a home? The ocean left a hollow song, A sadness rolling soft and low For those who choose to hear. I hold the shell against my ear And feel the somber tone--a moan that fills the emptied abalone-- Not a cry of creature--moved on, outgrown-- But empty echos carried on the sea, Anguished groans of souls whose hearts have been disowned. I hear the broken tears of one I know Who night by night must weep alone. I hold his hungry spirit in the empty shell And wish it were his hand I held. I struggle to caress his heart with words Knowing that the meager offering of my pen Will never fill the empty chamber; Perhaps a lighter note will soften The somber tones of the Abalone A note that says you have a friend a quiet one with a willing pen Who understands and cares.

That half grown chrysanthemums/
Stirring up like accuser's.
Life is compared with what two things ?
Which do you think is the richer more revealing comparison ?
Poets use many symbols/
Geese flying south can be a symbol,
Of that of approaching winter/
Heart's symbolize love,
In this brief expanse we call life,
One may want to cry out in a revolt ?
Other's simply take in a breathe of fresh air/
Ponder that many other's that don't even care ?
We all must become united in this great cause !
Not to use this concept loosely/
Yet to humbly ponder a thought,
What do you all think tells a more detailed story ?
The poem or the picture ?
Love can grow out of a billowing cry/
Perhaps a cut nor a mere stye in the eye ?
The seventies had embarked on this journey/
Not to mention that of Timothy Leary ?
This took us to a vast opened door !
To break on through to the other side/
Lest I emplore,
Still we have every bit of reason in which to grasp/
That lattice decor to that shine on the asp,
A sweet juice filled with fine honey nectar/
The future resources,
Allow the creative poet/
To begin to explore the valley of much more !
In gaining the proper word/
Fresh out of the Autumn air !

    THE WHALE SONG
The masters of the ocean
Depending on you
What can they do?
They are grieving.
The masters of the ocean
Are crying for you
What can they do?
They are leaving.

It's a whale of a thing and a helluva fix to be.
If you're living the life of a whale that's in the sea.

All they want is ocean
and the space to run.
Freedom's just a morning spray
flashing in the sun.
All they ask is ocean
and the Hope to be
thankful God has given them
---------the sea.

It's a whale of a thing and a helluva fix to be.
If you're living the life of a whale that's in the sea.
It's a whale of a thing and a helluva fix to be.
If you're living the life of a whale that's in the sea.

SONG OF THE SEA TURTLES.

If we had ears to hear,
A tale of many a year-
Turtles travel, my dears,
Round the world all year.

What sights turtles do see,
Swimming the deep blue sea!
Turtles travel, my dears,
Round the world all year.

Turtles so clumsy on land,
In water, a graceful band.
Turtles travel, my dears,
Round the world all year.

Oh, I wish we had ears to hear,
Turtle tales over the years.
Turtles travel, my dears,
Round the world all year.

I long for the open sea while gentle waves call to me in my sleep
Dreams of salt air and a boundless horizon
No words ride the night, yet I hear her song and know her voice.

Stand I here at waters' edge while the moon bids her rise to greet me
To embrace her as she beckons me to follow
To become one with her, or perish in the striving

Marooned, here I stand on this island in the sun
Afraid to plunge into the depths, I am rooted…captive
Denying myself passage to that distant horizon

O happy tide, would that I were as free to leave

My dear , I don't know how shall I start
But my love for you was set before we met
I don't know how as it's deep in my heart
I believe that's crazy like Romeo's love for Juliet

Baby , my love for you is like a waterfall
I can't escape it but I must go down
I am addicted to your love , that's all
So don't hurt my heart and leave , It's a letdown

My pretty angel , I need you by my side
And from life , I wish nothing more
As you know that passion is my guide
And without you , nothing worth living for

Let's walk along the seashore till the dawn light
Holding hands , I wanna keep looking at your eyes
Baby , they are shinnig like the stars , so bright
With you , I feel I am flying up in the skies

Oh yeah , I feel I am flying up in the skies
I feel I am flying up in the skies

for bruce springsteen...

it was a rain-swept monsoon day

way back then, so many moons away

when i felt the music strumming in my veins

setting me free like a runaway horse without any reins

you sang of simple truths,

your verse spoke to people just like me

in my lonely, wasted, and desolately quiet night

as you screamed out tragic human wrongs, and of everyone's plight

'bobby jean' spoke to me

of that girl down the street

glimpses of whom, we as innocents would furtively meet

and 'the river' that flowed through my ever-barren heart

led me down further roads of thunder

when slowly i finally learnt that the hardest part was fighting on

and never to surrender

to the hard-luck dreams that were born to run

while i danced in the dark

with memories vivid and stark

even as i whined like that dog who for forever lost his howling bark

and then a 'human touch' came along

and 'better days' seemed real, not just words in a song

and still you sang and swayed and spoke straight into my unseeing eyes

as gardens of secrets were opened, and as your fist punched the skies

in an anger that i too felt and in whose cauldron i too burned

as we saw murder get incorporated, while on its wobbly axis, our fragile world apathetically turned

and then suddenly i was told that i was all grown up

working on a highway of scattered ideals

and absolving myself by sprinkling some coins in a waiting cup

well, after all these years of walking along so many a thorny road

with an armour of your verse covering me, even as i hear them taunt me and even as they continue to goad

but now i can feel myself fading away, into the bleakness of this coming night

just like the ghost of that old tom joad...

YOUNG FOOL.

Weren’t you the silly and stubborn young man who came to the land of the Free
and home of the Brave to work for free, starve and get no sleep? How dare you change
paradise for this?

Once the night fell you got on a tiny boat with a thousand others breaking your mother’s
heart and making the toughest man on earth cry, your father.

Oh you silly young man... smart, handsome, talented, and humble of only 23 decided to
risk it all. You had it better than most back home, yet you needed more. You needed to
set foot on the land of “Once upon a time.”

Days went by, weeks and maybe months, desperation came closer and the toughest
broke down, the braves returned back home to make it there as if it was meant to be like
that and the fool like you continued. Even though everything seemed to be endless, you,
I guess, you trusted God or were too blind folded by your desires that you didn’t back up.

Tierra! (Land!) Was screamed in desperation as a sign of relieve. Tierra! Columbus and his
men would’ve been ashamed of their cry announcing that they had reached land if they
would’ve heard you and your companions.

OH, you silly old man, still don’t own a home. Yet, feel that you have accomplished all.
Like a sleepy baby you got through the days. You made it through with hands that had a
mind of their own, fixing things, painting, and doing things that still amaze us all.

But you, you didn’t come here for the home, the car of the year, or the Bling Bling but for
the future of two little girls. Foolishness, ignorance and desire taught you to be the best
man to walk the surface of the earth, to be tough, to be brave like a soldier and to stay
humble all the way!

I love you Dad.

When lost in the Aegean Sea, I heard a song afar from my sails;
Blinded by the fogs, I sail to the direction of that voice.
Guided by the sweet voice and arouse by the melody, I followed the path of which I knew not,
And found myself drifting ashore a foreign land.
Haul by the passing mist; I saw a hill that rose above the lands,
My ship was in the middle of the two great hills that looked down and over the shores.
I looked above and saw no clouds, just the blue skies; I could still hear her voice
The wind blew ever so gently as I move my rudder,
That song can still be heard, yet I know not where she is?
         I looked to find that voice that eludes me, that called me;
But, yet, I found nothing, saw no one.
She sang a sadden song, of lost love, but lost love I knew not?
I am a stranger, afar my abode, a stranger lost in the midst of seas.
Hold and steadfast, for my heart feels allured by the maiden song,
Yes...though my heart be sadden by her song, her voice drifts my soul across the Styx.
God makes all things beautiful; all things have purpose, and is her song,
Whether it be joy or sorrows, her song, is the song of a broken heart.
That took hold my empty vessel, and filled it with joy,
Though I never thought song of sorrow can be taken for a joy.
I sailed far and afar from the shores, and saw the hills moved further away.
I could still hear her song, I looked back and saw her, a fair maiden.
God's grace that showed me, a spirit of a woman, that took my heart and broke it.
Her skin as white as snow, her deep blue eyes that stared into my soul,
her hair long and gold as that of a golden fleece.
She a ghost of the past, singing to guide her lover back into her bosoms
And her lips afar from mine. At last! it was not for me.
A strong wind that force my eyes shut and bent my knees.
As I stood up and saw no more, I heard not her song, aye, neither her voice.
She was gone with the wind.
The song of the fair maiden still resonates in mine heart as I sail a distant shores.
Even if death approaches me and take'th my life,
My words of praises for her beauty will live on forever.
