The Perfect Christmas Gift

The angel Gabriel appeared to Mary,
He said that she would bear a son,
And call Him Jesus, the Son of David,
The Saviour, man, and Holy One.

The perfect gift came down from heaven,
The Son of God born on the earth;
The Prince of Peace, the King of Jacob,
Became a babe of humble birth.

The shepherds kneeling, the angels singing,
Give praises to the infant Lord.
The Father's glory shines round about them;
The love of God that night outpoured.

His beaming star stood above the manger,
It led the wise men from the East;
They fell and worshipped, and then presented
Their gifts to Jesus, King and Priest.

Dying Star

A star still hovers over morning
It died a million years ago
As if to give me a warning...
you've lost your way ....back home

You left me here without a fire
as if desire has turned to stone
Last night, the stars that lit the heavens,...
were only ghosts of stars, that led you where you don't belong

The moon, ..was drifting,.... watching for the sunrise,
            while waiting for the dawn

While I was waiting for your headlights.....
somehow knowing ... ....you wouldn't come

While, there are things that last forever....
some dreams will only fade away,
and all the times that we remember
may be all we have when stars return by end of day

..............interlude music.................

I've watched the sun unlatch the gate to morning
I hesitate to leave the window's ledge
Your pillow lies untouched beside the bed
The stars up in the sky... have long been dead

One star is telling me it is morning
It seems the others simply strayed
Some things we want to last forever
are illusions we have cherished, but will often fade away

                                       will often fade away........

as if they're made to stray away.......

Death of A Rock Star - Jim Morrison

DEATH OF A ROCK STAR (Jim Morrison)
There's a man all alone and his name is well known
but he thinks all the world is a den
of the poor and the weak and the too dead to speak
for themselves, it's a game they can't win.

He's a little bit high and he'll be til we die
it's too bad that his heart is so black,
but he knows how to sing to a crowd and to bring
out the love that they've been holding back.

It's a game that he plays with your life and he stays
just as long as the music goes on,
and he'll make you to smile if it's only a while,
then he goes where the devil has gone.

All the girls that he's had think it's not all that bad
but the glitter's too much for their mind
so they leave him to sleep where no angel would keep
anyone for there's not one to find.

He could write every word of the songs we have heard
and he's led every daughter astray
to be part of his past and a love that won't last
into light of another new day.

Now he looks for the cause of the reason he was
Though he's died, he's still misunderstood,
but the dream's been too dead for too long in his head
and his heart's turned to stone as it should.

Zebra Star

There once was a zebra from China.
Who liked to sing songs in D minor.
    His voice was the rage
When they put him on stage.
He rode out of town a headliner!

successful man

Every successful man had his first time
What happened that day was his experience
If he trailed, then he became resilient
But if he thrived,he became consistent
Every successful man had his first time

Every successful man had his first time
When he trailed,
he refused to flatter-close his eyelid,
when he was feeling drowsy
He was at will and top
to lift that which the world said was heavy
Every successful man had his first time

Every successful man had his first time
When he thrived,
he refused to sigh
Until he inhaled the last air
he refused to smile
Until he felt the last tear drop
Every successful man had his first time

What then is success?
Success is how the beneficiary defines it
Success is the ability to revisit
Success is the willingness to conquer that which is conquered
Success is the zeal to awaken that which is dead
Success is the courage to say never
Success is the stamina to stay forever
Success is the patience to await regardless
Success is the readiness to climb the impossible stairs
Success is you and I
Success depends on how high we can fly
Success depends on how best you can try
Success is what we deserve before we die

Guiding Star

Guiding Star (MJH 8/28/15 lyric)

We’ve gotta take it slow,
Remember who we are,
Live up to what we know,
Follow our guiding star.

We need to take a stand
Against the dark we see;
Extend a helping hand,
Help set our brothers free.

Following shadows on the ground,
They can’t look up ‘cause they’re beaten down.
If they’d just look to their guiding star,
They might recall who and what they are.

Good folks are losing hope;
Can’t see their guiding star.
Sliding down on their last rope,
Forgotten who they are.

Following shadows on the ground,
They can’t look up ‘cause they’re beaten down.
If they’d just look to their guiding star,
They might recall who and what they are.

Rely on what we know.
Remember who we are.
Onward we must go;
Lead to our guiding star.

I AM am one of the swirling celestial bodies touching the galaxy’s tips so luminous... and Jupiter’s neon planks spin , twilight skin marrying other planetary realms with glazed fingers of light, floating on glazed angelic frame. Somehow, I am many when my star parades, aligning with earth, softly bursting from rapture. And my outer spirit glides into a universal dance every axis bestowing higher-plane energy while humans throb in their own center... a metallic twirl, a rhymed tap entering into another world, chaste as the blending circle of moon, dust, sun... and the flow of men understands this wonder of this fluid spectacle...till a voice echoes, 'I am that I am'. Shining Star

Those dark times
When there was no hope
You came in my life
Lifted me up.

You’re my shining star
When my world seems so dark
You never failed me
Give me a spark.

You are the life
Runs through my veins
You gave me the meaning
This beautiful life

You’re my shining star
When my world seems so dark
You never failed me
Give me a spark.

I Won't Say Goodbye

I won't say goodbye, it's a word that implies, something now is ending,
And I'm too full of endings, to want that extra load.
Instead, I'll think evening has come, a night must now pass.
Yet with the stars just like our sun to show us all the way,
Across the spans of darkest nights, there lies a brighter day.

I won't say farewell, it is one of those words, that means a scene is closing,
And I'm too full of closings to want that extra load.
Instead, I'll think a pause must be in life's great symphony.
Our Maestro turns your page and mine, tuning some strings in need,
That each may play their greatest part, as onward now He leads.

I won't say godspeed, again it's a word, that means one is parting,
And I'm too full of partings to want that extra load.
Instead I'll think the time has come to trust in God's great care.
Our years are filled with anxious prayers, yet He is always near,
Perhaps these moments must all be to teach us faith not fear.

Flying through space with a smile on my face,
With no need to replace memories of forgotten days.
Crawling along the edges of a song, newly born;
With the innocence gone, I burn like the sun.

Starlight burns through the blood in the veins;
Pumping waste through the bitterness and unforgotten pain.
Calmness is too loud to the ears of the torn,
Ripped up on the ground. Unfaithfully a star is reborn.

Starfire flaming on the stage;
Starfire creates a burning rage.
Starfire turns night to day,
Because the star keeps burning in a star light blaze.

Sing a song from the bottom of the heart;
Love lost leads us to a whole new start.
Chasing dreams and screaming like Starfire stars;
Electronic, neurotic; I’ve gone too far!

All that I want is to die like a star;
An explosion in space that could light up the world.
All that I want is to burn like a star;
Raising fires, burning in the darkest of words.

Starfire flaming on the stage;
Starfire creates a burning rage.
Starfire turns night to day,
Because the star keeps burning in a star light blaze.

Aliens on vacation spot a superstar;
Sing a song of your creation. It’s a brave new world.
It’s a search for Spok, sing from the heart;
Sunlight dies in space; Starfire is never killed.

A star song

 Make me believe in stars,
even when the sky is full
I wonder who put them so far
leaving the nearby sky so dull.

Let’s cross the silver gate
entering in a playground,
let’s keep spinning until it is late
the carrousel round and round.

When we return to our home,
You wait for me on the bed
Whispering dreamy: “Come, Come,
let’s pretend we just have wed!”

I will hold near your hand
and marvel how it was done,
I also saw stars crawling in the sand
but during the day, all stars were gone.

In Bloom

Written July 29, 2013

The wind blows the rainbows down
Turns your frown upside down
Then spins it back around

The sun hides the moon
Underneath its coat in bloom
The flowers came late this June

The rain in a teardrop
Falls like dew from a leaf
When she looks at me

See that look upon her face
Used to take her to the stars
Now she's headed back from Mars

Now that Venus loves her more
Wouldn't throw her to the floor
Like before

Blessing Star

Your black hair shimmered
I knew not the reason
I watched it every little season
My heart and head simmered
Your shapely body twinkled
As if never would it be wrinkled
Yet it had a little lesion
Which never ever rankled

You were my heart`s queen
Those organs of sight
Just witty and bright
They caught me off guard
An angel is all l had seen
I zoomed heavenward!

Astral Rain

On the ecliptic of your symphony--

in a fury of verbal commotion,
where the delivery becomes creation...

where a simple sigh becomes emotion.

There is a new melodic resolution
taking on the new delivery.
There are new songs of revolution
since the evolution of MTV.

There is a waterfall of light
that falls like astral rain,
a sight to see in immortal admiration,
you'd love to see again and again.

It's my transcendental opus,
I sure hope that you'll come along...
May your world of fear suddenly disappear--

I really hope you will sing along.

The Shot...
They killed.
Their hate...
They willed.
The blood...
It spread.
From heart...
To head.

The gun...
Was pressed.
A scream...
Was stressed.
Wild eyed...
Prayer said.
and Bang...
You're dead.

The Shot...
Their hate....
The blood.....
From heart.....
The gun....................
A scream............................
Wild eyed...........
and Bang.

They killed.
They willed.
It spread.
To head.
Was pressed.
Was stressed.
Prayer said.
You're dead.

Starry Dreamy Night

I found myself sweating last night
From a dream I shared with you in perfect sight,
The place is dark, a corner without a light
You pulled me agressively, I felt uptight!

I heard your urging breath, so warm, so sweet
Planted owning kisses on my nape indiscreet,
As you own me wildly, felt you were in
I can feel the rushing pumps you made in between!

Oh, but at the wanting of this dream's delay
Woke up sweating; grabbed my robe; got up from where I lay,
Cold water didn't help cease the burning chill
This starry dreamy night, I feel that sizzling dream still.

Starry, starry night, as I look outside
Saw the vast sky and I felt chill inside,
Wrapped myself and whispered, "Where are you tonight?"
Hear my starry dream, hold me forever tight...

And I whispered as I saw the falling of the shooting star
Crossing my fingers and stared from where it will fall afar:
"I wish I may I wish I might,
Have my wish I wish tonight!"

If My Siege-Tank's A-Rockin' from Star Craft II video game

The Hydralisks are assembling just out of range,
Supported by Roaches, Infestors, Banelings,…
The Mutalisks are hovering beyond our turrets,
Brutalisks are moving—it’s looking quite desperate.

There’s a silver lining for each “end of the world”:
My shift’s almost done and my Siege Tank’s been rebuilt.
I could spend my last hours paralyzed in fright;
But no, got a date with that cute medic tonight.

I took several stim-packs off a dead Marine,
And I’ll take a few jolts if she gives me the green.
So all those Zerg monsters better stay out of sight…
Better not mess with me and my Medic tonight.

We’re all out of minerals, we’re out of Vespene.
We’ve made our last Marauders and our last Viking.
But if Ghosts and Banshees can hit the Zerg just right,
I might still be around for my Medic tonight.

Chorus) Got a date with that blue-eyed young medic tonight.
You know, the one that I’ve had for months in my sights.
If my Siege Tank’s a rockin’, don’t come a knockin’.
Got a date with that pretty sweet medic tonight.

Shooting Star

You are a shooting star.
You're light shines here from far.
A burning fire in the sky.
To dream, like a star, you fly.

To let the insults of the world pass you by.
Always keep your head held high.
As a dreamer you are strong.
To keep following the dream along.

Keep pushing forth with all your might.
Never give up your will to fight.
Find strength deep within your light.
Keep your fire burning bright.

Though there are people that doubt.
Follow your dreams, don't push them out.
Within yourself, believe in you.
When you follow your dream they will come true.

As a shooting star leaves a trail of dust.
In your dreams you must trust.
Let your dreams take you far.
For in everyone lives a shooting star.

Shooting Star

The cord was cut and I took another step.
Wasn’t sure about all I saw but it seemed to take my breath.
A cool drink of water began to calm me down.
I can only try to understand moving forward upon this shaky ground.

Looking at so much heartache and I try to figure out why.
Try to greet a stranger, and all I get is his back I guess that’s good-bye.
Whatever happened to the simple things in life?
Never needed to have it all, yet my back doesn’t need this knife.
Feel the eyes on me with every step I take.
What you see is what you get, there’s nothing about me that’s fake.

Oh shooting star can I come take a ride.
So much here that’s wrong and I can’t make it right.
Just need a little break with the wind cool on my back.
When I come back down I promise I won’t fall between those cracks.
Oh shooting star can I come take a ride.
I just need a little break I’m not trying to run or hide.

Walk these crowed streets with emptiness all around.
Still a smile on my face yet the sorrow is raining down.
Try to choke these tears down, so much misery that I see.
Wish I could blanket those who have lost hope, I pray upon my bloodied knees

I can only offer what’s in this heart is there enough to go around.
I can only do what I can to show others what I have found.
So long I kept falling back and getting cut by my own sword.
Only just realized and used it right to finally cut the cord.
I’m no wise man just finally caught my breath.
Just wanna take a ride on a shooting star to see the misery that I left.

Mazzy Xibalba Star

Mazzy Xibalba Star (Into Dust)

Restless then gone, I mend.
Come hide, Today.
Come hide me, away.
My frowns, broken for you.
When Xibalba, leaves us as dust.
And her name, it, slowly becomes
Our minds trembled when hearts
came near.

I should, obviously be jaded,
But find, in the midst of pain.
I could heal myself, crossing over.
I could steal what's left of all my
Wonder your fate...
There you are, restless through
With Xibalba, leaving us as dust.
And her name, it, slowly, becomes
Burning out for us...
Burning out for us...

This is the star that lights the way
Together we will change the future
A brave new world, a brand new day

Through the fire one mans vision
Will touch the soul and set you free
Just turn your faces to the heavens
It’s burning bright for all to see

A dream awaits on distant shores
Fill your heart with new conviction

I often look into the stars
And think about just where you are
And can you see what I can see
Is there a time you think of me

When I’m alone I talk to you
The unsaid praises you were due
Alone I listen carefully
A word a sign you sent to me

But maybe it’s too far away
The things I lost to yesterday

The images that I hold dear
Make me believe that you are near
Again upon my knees with you
Forgive the sorrows we’ve been through

Or maybe it’s too far away
Those things I pay for yesterday

I ask you to look through my heart
The moments we shared at the start
And if you see that I’m untrue
I do not know what more to do

Still maybe you’re too far away
And maybe there’s no yesterday

But still just once in a while
There’s hope I still make you smile
Till then
And when
I’m with you again

Remember that was yesterday
And yesterday is far away

Hit 'em Hard And hit 'em Fast for Star Craft II video game

The Tal-Dareem are fighting-mad;
They've realized they've just been had.
Expect soon Zealots and Stalkers,
Immortals and those "cliff walkers".
What matter's most: who's standing last,
So hit 'em hard and hit 'em fast.

Carriers and Voids will fill the sky,
And Dark Templars may be sneakin' by.
Double the turrets, add more bunkers--
Fill them with Marines and Marauders.
What matters most: who's standing last,
So hit 'em hard and hit 'em fast!

Jim's Raiders' troops will soon be back;
Get ready to counter-attack!
So train more Reapers for rear missions:
Sneak around back, take out their pylons.
Make sure we're the ones left standing last.
Just hit 'em hard and hit 'em fast.

I spoke to the Moon

The moon had long since it spoke to me
About its pearly star
I ask her to sit in my bed
So I could take from her a spoon of light

One summer evening I saw her at my window
And opened it right away
Chasing her was a radiant star
But she could not come to me and stay

The moon had long since talked with me
About loves born through the centuries
While I prayed with my heart and hands
For just a little residual light from its star

The moon had long since talked with me
Promising and expected to come one day
On my Handrail a full-blown rose
Was a gift from all miracles I prayed

I spoke to the Moon about the golden rose
Precious this gift and full of worth
"The beautiful star was the one followed after
Sweet this kind of life through the thorns...

I spoke to the Moon late last night
Now she is my beautiful and pure friend
When she is mad, I talk to the star
When I feel lonely, she offers me her hand…

Mom has died.
We did not see each other for some years.
But I always knew - she lives in Nizhni Novgorod,
In a small apartment of a five-floor house,
On a high hill above the big river.
I often phoned her.
I knew - the good woman helps m?m,
Looks after her, like one would a child,
Sometimes they drink tea together , watch TV,
And, probably, they talk about me.
We had no possibility to meet.
But both of us hoped -
Soon my legs will better,
And I shall come.
But one month ago,
In the solar July morning,
I have learned - Mom has died.
Mom is not present more.
I never shall visit to her.
I never shall argue with her,
And I never will hug her.
A very dear string of my soul has been torn.
My favourite rain has dried up somewhere.
The star of tenderness, of understanding and hope has died out.
But a new star has flashed -
It is the brightest of all stars - MY LOVE OF MOM.
... The summer is continues.
August gives warm rains, flowers and fruits.
This August is the first for me - without Mom.
Mom has died.
And now I love her so,
As never in life.

A fallen star

Seen through the red in her eyes…
The fireplace from whence burns her soul
Life begins with this broken promise
A lost trust, delivered with a royal seal

The silence separated by their erupting spatter
Between her teardrops a severed umbilical cord
Raging winds and crashing waves her eyes utters
Her heart lies on the tip of a quivering tongue

I turn away from her deep insight…
She lives each day through a rising storm
With each wipe her face is a world full of tears
Sweat beats on her forehead soaking wisdom

Her innocence swept away by the runoff
She’s a fallen star awash in the rains
Her presence defined like mist taking off
And with that she vaporizes and reigns

I’ll meet you soon
In realm of moon
The sky is full of night
I see your tear,
You will be here

I walk so long
Through lie and thorn
In arms of yours and love
And our day
Like sunny May
Will free your peaceful Dove.

And sorrow’s dead
And not so sad,
My lonely blinking star,
I’ll meet you here
I’ll take your fear
And you are not so far.

Time Was I Was a Wand'ring Star

Time was I was a wand'ring star,
With a restless quenchless soul,
Time was I had an unquiet heart,
And from dream to dream I'd roam,
Well I thought I was a free bird,
And I didn't really have a worldly care,
Till I found myself abandoned and
Alone, I cried, but you weren't there,
Now all I really want is you is you is you...
Time was I played the gadabout,
Thought I did not need a home,
Time was I thought I was so smart,
I could do it all alone,
Till it dawned on me that there would
Come a time when you would say OK,
If that's the way you want it,
Well I'll leave you to go on your way,
