He shivers as he steps on the porch,
The sharp icy air gives a certain scorch.
As he steps out from the arbors protection,
out to where there is no affection.
   A month or so later,
the boy feels oh so much greater.
  The sun shining down,
where there is no such thing as a frown.
But now there is a long process to get from season to season,
and you get tired of Winter's cold and sharp treason.
So as we walk through the steps, enjoy the end of Winter's blast,
just as you did when it began and you said "At last!"
As Winter comes joy fills the world,
as snowballs get thrown and hurled.
The cheer, the bliss begins with a snow,
however you come to remember and know,
that Winter lugs on and on until Spring.
   Though not very easy,
we must try to enjoy the breezy and sneezy.
So as the snow melts into the dirt underneath,
people will put away festive décor, trees, and a wreath.
People then change from heavy bundles of clothes,
and on to short sleeves is where the style arose.
The used-to-be snowflakes turn now to dandelion seeds,
flying to and fro, and landing where it needs.
A pleasing fragrant of Honeysuckle, Jasmine,
awhile bumble bees come flying, trying to get in.
Low and behold Spring is in,
while once a year it begins again.

Mother Nature, You The Seed Of Earth's Delights

Soft spoken and sweet art thy graceful ways
Within forests of rainbow trees a light shines
For each of thy songs, the sad world pays
Reluctance in glory and resentfully it opines.
Coming Spring, brings increases in thy lights
With calming days and grace in castle towers
Soft spirits dance in woods on cooler nights
And later finds comfort in thy majestic powers!

Sun and morn bring far more pleasant things
Even happiness in light cool spring showers
Gratitude for blessings thy heart always brings
Admiration for thy gracefully wielded powers.

Mother Nature, you the seed of earth's delights
And greatest author of its most beautiful sights!

No date on an old poem. Most likely late 70's to early 80's.
found six verses to another poem that I may finish if I
can find the time and do not forget to do so.

Dubieties engulf all around
As the brume in the dawn
  Behold plants seeking strength
In this warm cuddling cloud

Songs soon sing from the sky
 The common notes that play
When it’s about to drop wet
 Upon human’s bower.

It’s wonted (by this time) to descry
 Dark clouds being deserted
By its everyday residents.

In the mood of the inclement
 It’s sparse to hear
  Any row from the firmament
Other than the loyal sound
  Of the saturated pattering
From the blue yonder.

The tansy and the tarragon are sprouting in the lawn;
I can smell their pungent fragrance in the dewy after-dawn.
The crocus and the daffodils are prancing up the hill;
their dresses all a-shimmer and their bodies never still.
The happy little bluebird is flitting all about
to find the perfect property to hang his shingle out.
The tulip swords are shining in the early morning sun,
and I thought I saw Br'er Rabbit havin' him some rhubarb fun.
It's spring and spring is glorious; brings the child right out of me.
makes me want to dance at midnight beneath budding apple trees.

The day of The Dead.

The cemetery in Loule is on top of a hill, today
early spring the steep hillside is full of luscious
yellow flowers. Not like ripe lemons, more like
Swiss butter, from the rich milk of cows will bells
and horns; sturdy feet able to carry big, rose-pink
udders and be milked by smiling maidens with
strong arms creamy white as a Valkyrie’s bosom

What you didn’t see- all this life- when blinded
by the intensity of every sun lit flower came
from a rotting coffins, the few day in early spring
when the dead are let out, sway on a hillside and
soak up the sun.

As spring is born it bursts forth it's green,
as the living woods look so fresh and clean.
I sit by myself and I close my eyes,
listening to the birds as I breathe in a deep sigh.
The birds they sing a song just for me,
In a world so clam they sing a sweet melody.
Seeing the trees of every shape and size,
as they bask in the sun from the early morning rise.
Golden is their bark so rough and strong,
as their graceful branches are so lean and long.
Woodpeckers are pecking for their morning meal,
an inner peace God allowed me to feel.
I gaze off into the distance and spot patches of green,
a wonderous beauty of God's holy scene.
Winds blow through the pines as their needles sway,
as the whispers of nature seem to take me far away.
New growth is popping out from under last falls fallen leaves,
as the sun beams down energy to earth's plants it feeds.
Slopping country side as far as the eye can see,
as a red tail hawk flys so wild and free.
Scouring down at the sight of a new fresh meal,
as the stench of it's prey is enticed to appeal.
God provides for his creatures big or small,
he never fails to give or in need if we call.

Hi guys go through my new poem.

 OCTOBER-SOARED TEMPERATURE

 Extemporing October heat, October heat,
You always dance with the flaming beat.
Not like September, Sophisticatedly you treat,
Removing water from taste buds when we eat.
Oops, not again you act like an evil!

Exchanging heat, You rose a notch,
Excreting perspiration through the pores of body, You hikingly botch.
Blending the temperature with moistened air,
Bless us with the Somatic sensation of cold, which is obviously fare.
Whoa, by then everybody will be amazed!

Ivory nuts of the earth's palm,
 Stresslessly you be so calm.
 Awfully you pour some rain,
Frantically we will be so madly insane.
Dont inject blusterous blaze on the seashore.
 Ouch, that really hurts!

 Flaring star with high intensity,
 Melting down the earths dignity.
 Scotch your heightening desire,
 Briskly inhale refreshing breathe.
Ohhh boiling Sun, shade under your sheathe!

 As like tempting cheesy dip,
Magical smile will appear between the paired lips.
 Hold your stubborn heat back,
Begging you please not to swindle and smack.
 Alas, mercilessly accomplish your goal!

Radiating solar, dont propagate your burning rays,
Serenely shower your pleasant warmth, every day.
 Glacial winds please wrap around,
Happily waving everybody I will found.
Woohoo, Rosaceously waiting for glint of dawn!

Again, it is Spring
in the garden outside my flat -
flowers forcing colours
above ground,
remind me that in nature,
there still remains
a world of mystery

despite marvellous inventions
space travel
and ndw technology.

her way to touch the sky
her light in mine
her soul on my destiny

I like our dawns to two
her stains of silence

I like nova fire
these vibrations to caress

I like our mad fantasies
their dust of instant

an instinct of existence

My house is quiet,
kids have gone to sleep.
Don't want to make a sound,
as time to myself is now a treat.

I can hear my clock ticking,
the t.v playing music.
My fridge is also grunting,
my phone i will not use it.

As much as i love,
all three kids of mine.
There all ganging up on me,
But these walls i will not climb.

It's three against one,
and that's not really fair.
I'm waiting for the day,
when i get my first grey hair.

Nightingale, sing just for me
a swaying branch of melody;
and drop a feather
for you must
that I may pray the air a gust--
use such bright quill
across the night
writing just for you
pure notes of light….

Open the Windows and Welcome the Spring!

                                                                                   By Cynthia Patience

Open the windows! What’s this, now I hear?
Gentle rain is retreating and springs’ dawning is near!
Raindrops from treetops fade away to a few,
Glistening, they merge with the delicate dew.
The air fills the senses with its earthy perfume.
And morning’s rays dance on the floor of my room.
Tiny sparrows, once sheltered on my window’s ledge,
Now bathe in a puddle at my sidewalk’s edge.
                            What fun as they fuss and flutter their wings;
Ruffling their feathers as the morning dove sings.
The puppy barks and scratches the screen,
He can hardly wait to join this glad scene.
He knows that spring calls us from” inside” to “out.”
It's time for us to be out and about
So, put away the wintry fare and all it may bring
And open the windows now, to welcome the Spring!

When can I meet you again?
Will it be in spring when your petals are recovered?
Will it be in Summer when you're surrounded by sunlight?
I've been and will continue waiting forever under shadow.
I,
Watched you blossom quietly,
Bore the pain of withering with you,
Time after time, loop following loop
Forget me as much as you please,
It does not matter as long as I am still here.
I miss you....
