Precious Moon

Yonder light of moon-kissed rays
on blessed breeze you lie
under cover of the milky way
reach out to every cusp of sky

Moon my precious moon
open your wings
open your gilded wings
now and evermore

Shine your sultry soul
here into mine
into the loneliness of dusk
near thee enter upon me
endless glows of your
sacred smile

Fly high moon my precious moon
over my wayward path
reigning me home

Mysterious lady let this butterfly dance
effortlessly in the glint of your romance

butterfly ballet

the entry below is an Acrostic with a beginning and ending couplet attached

"butterfly ballet"

twas one day God said "let there be butterflies"
they will grace heaven and earth along their skies

butterflies waltz
unveiled for all to see
telling the world
"take a look at me"
every classic move
resembles a ballet
floating and gliding
longing to be free
yearning visible light
bouncing to and fro
along earth and sea
let it be said
let it be done
everlasting is this flight
the timeless butterfly ballet

their story now told of glory so fine
ballerinas grace to the end of time

Monarch Butterfly-

Majestic wings flutter in the air,
over blossoms in the morning gloom.
Nodding heads affirm there’s nectar there,
as a proboscis probes every bloom.
Rays of golden sun paint velvet wings
clad in exquisite beams of sunlight,
harboring beauty reserved for kings.

Bronze pastels are fringed with spots of white,
uniquely applied by Nature's brush.
Terracotta orange wings take flight,
their beauty causing flowers to blush.
Each butterfly’s an instant delight,
richly ornate and regal in pose.
Fragile creatures that have little might,
like a breeze they go where the wind blows,
yet chase milkweed whenever it grows.

Morning, Noon, and Night, Delight

Mostly, she had the heebie jeebies, peaking at early risers
Outside, morning was muted with its first faint flush
Right before bristled being, allure of dawn shook her
Noah's voice and patriarchs of old floated by
Imagine those coils; Delilah had come to nip
Night looked on, swelled with pride remorse would rise
God of heaven and earth knew Minerva could be healed.

Nothing moves miraculously as the Almighty
Once she could hear her own obsequy; such living dead
Out on paths of ruin, Minerva ran and ran
Noon's scorcher, and blizzard, and torrents knew she'd show.

Night was of rain and song; of mind cruise to Caribbean hometown
Ideally, one sky light, alone time, and quietude was craved
God of her mother spoke nothing into something
Head lights once broken, beamed, then glowed
That spring; the new millennium sprung fresh light, water, air, and fire.

Butterfly Wings

Butterflies, are covered with
ultra thin, translucent scales
that manipulate rainbows.
Timid masters of light, they
excel in grace and beauty.
Ranging in diversity
from tiny to gigantic,
like beautiful works of art,
your heart can't help but applaud.

With wings drenched in rich colors
inlayed with gold and silver, they
navigate fragrant breezes,
gleaning drops of sweet nectar,
sipped from the hearts of blooms.

For Linda Marie Bariana -a Butterfly Acrostic

L ike a tiny butterfly, she’s flitting, cute and rosy,
I n and out, and round about - each and every posy!
N ever tiring; on a quest for beauty. Watch her go.
D ynamo in that small frame, she flutters to and fro
A s her poems keep spilling forth with inspiration’s flow!

M onarch of our kingdom; the words inside her whirl.
A lighting, she releases them; then returns to swirl.
R hyme and rhythm dance along
I n her pretty head,
E ffortlessly carried on the wind by wings outspread.

B ut it’s more than poetry Linda is about!
A ll who know her know how fun she is when she gets out!!
R ed-winged passion’s butterfly loves beach and honey-poo.
I taliano, pure bravado, friend to me and you!
A lways happy, ever faithful, smart, and loving,
N ot a snooty! Sweet patootie. Always in the loop,
A nd I’m glad I met such a good friend at the Soup!

This was my own dedication I had written for Linda after I first got to know her
here at Poetry Soup. Hard to believe that she is now passed away. RIP forever, Linda, Sweetheart of Poetry soup.

Butterfly

Beautiful, elegant, floorless butterflies,
Utterly glorious through the naked eye,
Two tone shades of colour,
Too many good traits to offer,
Enormous pleasure to watch,
Rapidly declining in numbers I feel,
Flightless fancy,
Ladie's love to create,
Yards of butterfly creations.

Butterfly Dreams

Better to see anything in dreams.
Universal beauty holds out it seems.
Transformation into beauty to behold.
Tragedy of real life ever so cold.
Exemplifies fantasy in ones mind.
Real life sometimes is so unkind.
Flying in a dream; sends a passion.
Learning the truth seems old fashion.
Yet truth holds the key to ration.

Dealing with all; takes a toll.
Reality hurts; dissipates the goal.
Each day can bring new dreams.
Allowing peace to grow from seams.
Making the unbearable; bearable.
Satisfying the mind, also repairable.

PUSH ME

Pretty Ms. Jackson in her daisy dukes
Upsurges her mental state to entice Luke.
She sashays her body to the booth.
Her crowd adores her to.

My my my...
Easily she is to use.

Butterfly Dreams2

Beautiful colors are worn so bold.
Underneath the glory extends.
Taking notice you see yellow gold.
Tracing the design it never ends.
Everyone specifically so different.
Rendering possibilities galore.
Floating gently, never indifferent.
Letting senses prepare to adore.
Your eyes witness their effervescent.

Daylight fading you take a lasting look.
Realizing the end of such iridescent.
Earning a place in the mind like a book.
Activating a pleasurable memory to hold.
Mesmerizing your thoughts so bold.
Seeing butterflies gone, leaves you cold.

INSECURE BUTTERFLY

Fluttering on the brink
In agitated motion
Insecure butterfly
Filled with erratic notion

Hidden away, out of sight
Flying the safest course
Never far from her cocoon
But filled with sad remorse

This is not the motion of nature
This is no way to live
Smothered in your silken shell
You have nothing of yourself to give

Choose to take a risk
Take a chance
Insecure butterfly
Learn to dance

Spread forth your wings
Sojourn to distant places
Be spontaneous, adventurous
Eager to meet new faces

Not living in the threshold
Scrutinizing trouble
Playing life safe
Living in a bubble

Spring is Coming Soon

 Snowflakes cease as snowdrops rise
 Peeking out at azure skies
 Raindrops fall upon the lake
 Iris soon in blooms awake
New blooms burst forth every day
Gerberas now are here to stay

I hear the soothing song of spring
Sweet the sound bird songs bring

 Carnations in hues of red
 Offer color to garden beds
 Magnolias, what fragrance they imbue
Inspiring a feeling of romance too
Now look, the baby blue eyes dance
Giving hearts a desire for romance

Soft the flutter of the wings
 Of butterflies in the spring
On the breeze they gently float
Now I'll watch them as I dote
                        ..

True but true

 When my eyes drop
In the lake of her beast
But sweet like the taste of
Red tounge which is crying
To take bath by the the juice of
In the middle of any one who read
The mystery of dots of this crime
Like eating sugar comes from the
Wait to fill the sleep of closed eyes
With the sound of my fly which run like
Seasons of love and bring the powder of
Clould in with dum sum dark with out a lesson
And cause to test the blink and and make
The land full of blood

Nope she forgot the pain of her kids
                    One tear
                True And true
