Seeking the perfect picnic spot
Utopian sunshine so mellow
Mountainous waves for surfing
Marching to nature's rhythm
Ever have basil flavoured ice cream? (better than it sounds)
Reeling in the Catch of the Day
Spending time on my bicycle
Under the star lit canopy dreaming
Marrying seed to soil, fresh grown
Meeting my family at the cottage
Enjoying the antics of energized grandchildren
Relishing floating on mirror like moisture

Only place in summer that I want to be
Now I have time to relax and be with the family
Taking time out to sunbathe in the golden sun
Happy times paddling in the sea is such fabulous fun
Even getting sand in our sandwiches doesn’t spoil the day
Bathing in the rising tide of an inviting sea
Enjoying watching the children play so joyously
Ambling over to the hotdog stall for a cup of tea
Circling seagulls overhead cry endlessly
Hoping this will always be a trip we make annually.

Into the Blue
Into the heartbeat of the blue sea of crystal glass
Never calm, but constantly moving rippling water
Truly mysterious in its grandeur surpass beauty
Obedient to unimaginable fathoms depth
Thirsty for the kiss of helpless sandy shores the waves drift on
Her heavenly breast with luscious relaxing sounds and
Endless scent of the briny cool breeze
Blue sea merges into the rising blue horizon
Liquescent sunset of dissolving view closes the day
Under the shadow of the drifting shapeless clouds
Effortlessly inviting twilight completing the dark blue night

Spacious, glistening as far as straining sight can wander,
Playful waves reflect the light in joyous, rippling prance,
Effervescing the myriad, resplendent sherbet-sky
Colors in flashing pirouettes, a ballerina dance.
Tides wash in and, weeping, withdraw from sentinel shores,
Aching, yearning for each returning, salt-cleansing spray,
Cresting upon warm sweeps of widely welcoming sand,
Undulating sound like the rosaries lonely nuns pray.
Layers of foaming laughter dissolve, then mount in raucous cries,
Arcing across the mighty oceans of this planet,
Rustling, swaying branches or mighty, charging samurais.

All the beautiful places that I am yet to be,
Rome Paris and Spain are places I'd love to see.
Ottawa in Canada this is another one,
United States of America for I hear they get the sun.
Norway even though I'm told it is very cold,
Damanhur in Egypt where the pyramids are old.
Thailand for their tropical beaches of true beauty,
Hong Kong the pearl of the orient with the deep blue sea.
Everywhere in Australia Even the Northern Territory ,
Walking in Hawaii knocking coconuts from a tree.
Ocean beach in New Zealand this sounds like a place to be,
Rio where the Olympic Games are held, now that I'd love to see.
Los cabos in Mexico I would drink tequila on this trip.
Dubai where a camel you ride Apparently it's called a ship.

I'd watch the waters of the bay
mingle with the rocks and sand.
Failing stars misted in gray
Again fail to illuminate that strand.
Lovers Point won't understand.
Lonely people seem to like it there.
I watched them all as they passed by--
Nodding to my equals there,
Gentle ones who came to tearless cry...
For what? Only the rocks know why.
One night I left that lonesome band;
Reaching out to you I touched love's flame.
You held me close and took my hand.
Once 'twas a lonely place of pain,
Until you gave Lover's Point back it's name.
LOVERS POINT REVISITED
I stood above the misty shore,
My time was short as it was late,
And watched the reflections once more--
lover's Points nocturnal state--
Our meeting place of misread fate.
Nice it was when we were there,
Except there's no more 'you and I'.
Only a memory of a brief affair,
Not lasting long as it went awry.
Cold and dark: Lover's Point's sky.
Every so often it seems to me
My life is like the waves off the shore:
One special person comes near to me,
Retreats again, is then no more.
Even the Point knows not what for.

Beaming sun upon my back
Establish my summer days
A beach, my boys, a blanket, and
Cold drinks, as I soak my rays
Hoping to darken my tan
Bronzing as the babies play
Applied Aveeno Baby, even to their nose
No frowns for the camera, 1-2-3, strike a pose.
Keen eye set on them, as the breeze gently blows
Easy and relaxed, my eyes begin to doze
Todd takes patrol, so I can repose & lay
Bestirred by buckets of water
Ice cold on sunkissed flesh
Now they're gonna get it good, I
Grab the cooler full of ice, and rush
Out in the sun, our time is spent the best

On the beach he sees among the crowds
Nebulous drifters who act like clouds.
They're beach-sitting to carry out schemes.
Hard-hitting waves followed by extremes -
Earsplitting voices - can they be screams?
Beach cops are like overanxious moms,
Every suspicious act - a time bomb.
Always watching out for out peeping toms,
Carefully checking each pier with qualms.
Honor the beach cops for keeping calm.

Summer is fun, seasons hot
Umm, temperature just soar!
Moving 'round, is kind of hard
Makes one tired and rains some more
End of summer brings next fall
Rays from sun most folks adore.

Kashmir is the heaven as they say
And from years i have been watching deaths at the bay.
Some come with metals, some burn the petals
Here you are safer only if you stay dumb
My words are not enough to bring up the sun as,
I have been living like in hell
Rest in peace -- and i believe one-day they ALL will FELL.--.

Open spaces on sand, for fun and frolic
Noise of waves, sound sweet as music
Taking a dip in blue depths, curling with tides
Horizon at sunset, orange hues give idyllic vibes
Eat local fish, and enjoy drinks like thirsty tribes
Blowing winds, turn the windmills apace
Enjoy the sunshine, and meditate for solace
Arrange the sea shells, look for pearls in case
Catch a sun tan, if you like, with a brave face
Handball if you play, win or lose with grace

Beneath the umbrella rainbow canopy,
Elvis croons from an old man’s radio.
As he smears lotion on his nose and knees,
Children hop by screaming in stereo
Hot hot hot! The sand’s hot on my feet!
Blasting sand onto sun-bathing girls,
Laughing boys race to the sea.
Avid readers get lost in their worlds,
Not noticing the shade retreat.
Kite flyers whirl and twirl,
Enjoying the breeze on the beach,
That causes the beach towels to curl.
Buried treasure inspires kids
Into digging deep in the sand.
Names are called when it’s time to quit;
Grown-ups leave, relaxed and tanned.
Optimistic for tomorrow’s plan, of more beach blanket bliss!

Endless lover, the summer is coming.
Velvet waters in the tropics
Ellude to something more erotic.
Revelling in the synchronized drumming of
Your heartbeat and my own.
Baby, isn't this paradise?
Oh, my sweetest flame, what would i
Do if i couldn't share this love with
Listening to the waves curl and crash,
Everything i could ever need, ever
Ask for is right here.
Vegetating is such rich soil,
Entertaining the moonstruck notion that
Some people are meant to stay.

(**I visited the Kuta beach in Bali, Indonesia in the early 90s.The expressions
poem is the powerful of feelings recollected in tranquility today in 2009
remembering the visit.)
Beach I remember of getting wind in my hair
Eyes were full of tears of joy and not grief
And to stand on the sand and simply to stare
Clothes dampening while playing “run away”
Hear the wavelets at play tickling our toes.
Be seated on the beach with feet in the sand
Listen to ocean’s song to clear the mind
And watching the crimson sunset at the same time
Not to bother for any cares, watching God’s bounties.
Kept roaming on the beach to find colored shells
Eavesdropping to hear the ocean’s deep roar
The tired mind to be refreshed smelling the salt.
Behold the beach! Here I have found peace
I have found love too, here, here and here
Nowhere but on grains of sand that blankets
Graciously and gorgeously offering a bed of comfort.
Oh, the freedom to run, fall, hold, cuddle and coil.
