PLAGIARIZING

"Mine all Mine!"

A thief I long to be
Your eyes original like the moon and sea

A lover in the world............
An Anthology, you walk and talk like the word "AMOR."

The words you send, I nicely tuck under my pillow
Every note every line you left behind
I memorized till they became all mine
Word-for-word,
Unauthorized I scrape the concrete calluses off the tongue
Pirating the perfect dramatic monolog look,
Basking through the passage around your Bio,
Lost in the musky scent -around the sonnet of your aura light
Epic enough, I reach inside to feel every idyllic rhyme
A strong iambic meter curse, conjuring up the perfect verse
In you I lift a copy paste from your lips,
No need to credit the sources in your bliss
The sweetest undamaged sensual memorandum book
A moment I stole and sealed without copyright proof

My dearest Poet,
When you move across the room
I see a thousand arrows that follow from behind,
Indulged when you speak and point out a verse per verse
I am a victim pampered by your words,
Sponging every line, adding them to my crib notes
Improved wordplay that infringed my everyday diary
A haiku so tangible, it sets the perfect images in my dream,
Hypnotize after I read your first love poem
A printed feeling--
Borrowed from the sun

- Peace, Love, and Gods Greatest Gift -

The mellifluous musical tones of the village bells

Echoing chimes over the cold snowcapped mountains

Both finding their way to people in the valley below

Christmas songs — let your spirit sing freely and loudly

Welcoming the Birth of Our Savior and Baby King

Who so charms the Angels on High and God Himself

On this night, The Star was so beautiful, clear, and shiny

Crisp and so crystal-bright, centered above and beyond

Reflecting now the Lord God’s most divine and holy light

There is real magic in the night air as Heaven rejoices aloud

The child and the infant’s divine soul breathe life now intently

Fulfilling truly God’s very promise and His hope to Mankind

Keep this Christmas spirit — share it with others near and far

Grace filled with good tidings as we dance on wings of joy

We all now celebrate in great happiness, love, and kindness

Christmas is forever — and you must never ever close this door

Faith always enters, carrying His guiding torch high and proud

And encouraging Man every step of the way on his long journey

Even in a simple cradle where the Baby Jesus so innocently lay

Heaven doth bathe His cradle with the warmest rays of divine light

Bespeaking the heavenly beauty, joy, and wonder of Our Savior

Amazing peace makes a lovely gift, I wish for all of us to have

As new life blossoms, wrapped in petals of an immaculate heart

God’s holy blessing, love, and intention are clear for all to see

That Holy Night the Angels entire sang mirthfully on Christmas Eve

Praising Almighty Lord God in Heaven on the birth of His only son

The Angels’ paeans echoed in their divine beauty across the Universe

To bring peace now, glowing with your love, is His divine intention

Rejoicing in God’s Greatest Gift to Mankind who was born in a manger

Destined to become Our Most Holy and Divine Savior — Amen! Amen!

ONLY EVER WITH YOU

O N L Y E V E R W I T H Y O U Only ever with you, I love to have and hold into the circle of your arms, I'll unfold; into your blue eyes' greeting shine, my gold; only ever with you, I yearn to grow old... Only ever with you I can write rhymes as such for you bring my muse from dust to dash, to hush Only ever with you my being wants to attach as first step already taken to our primrose path Only ever with you, tips dance linger to cherry lips Slow summer hands will roam vast to wonderland Whence pearl white peel smooches chocolate skin only ever with you, heartbeats climbs a boiling point Stars and moon may leave the dark skies yet, one look at the gleam of your blue eyes day and night, I see the rising sunrise. Only ever with you, I will dive to lows or heights for only ever with you, I'll plunge to infinity. Prayers plea asking blessings from Divinity to tie two hearts and two souls in sole unity. Mindless to whatever is there in humanity Only ever with you... _______________________________________________ POEM OF THE DAY -- February 27, 2015 ©O. E. Guillermo 5:32 pm, February 26, 2015

Eyes of Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope eyes

A universe of change
Round and round I go
Unfolding-
My spirit of envy and gold,
The nascence of a new stone
Hazel room, vibrant lilac sky,
Deep orange haze in a tender place
Arms of sapphire and cornflower blue
Fuchsia beauty drip
All colors drifted-
The first day we met
Visions of dark slate-gray
Fade away
Firing up the new age gem
Turning and creating different stars
Magic mint skies
White antique petals follow the current of air
Opal dreams, clouds embedded with impurity
My heartbeat produces flashing colors
The palest amethyst bluebonnet forever fields
Flawless tear drop streams
Diamond shaped love
Ruby red promises to keep
Flowing into the deep
Every color spins new
The day I fell in love with you
Peridot lime green tint
A love as old and gray
Olive brownish sun
Honeydew skin
Our future, deeper than aquamarine
Every day you turn fresh new seasons in me
Changing the sequence in my colors and effect

Kaleidoscope Eyes
Reflect by the mirrors of you
Crystallizing everything

Reflecting On Images Of Love

you were an infant
i would sing a song i created for you

'there's a baby in my arms
there's a baby in the mirror
but honey
there's not really two
the child in the mirror
is only
an image
of you'

in that same vein i write this

_

you can't hide inside a mirror
it wouldn't be good for your image
if you see what i mean
take a minute to reflect on that thought
frame it as you will
raise a glass to good cheers
this isn't the time to crack
or
feel shattered
no
it is the exact reverse

like skipping a rock across the smooth surface of a lake
seven skips of good luck
because you are the fairest of them all

looking back at yourself
keeping it compact
as you duplicate your own words
impossible to read from the other side
this echo of your vision

the epitome of a prototype replicates

ditto

who is the quintessential hero and who is the fake

go through that rabbit hole -straight to wonderland

bedazzle -radiate -glimmer -scintillate
deflect
the glare will define you

you have not now or have ever been a duplicate
you are and will always be the one and only

BONUS POEM

But Tell Me Where Do The Children Play

you can't lie your way to the truth
what we teach our children
should apply to us too
you took a wrong turn
check your moral compass
the needle is spinning faster
than a bottle in search of a kiss
what would our mother think
if she knew what you were up to
you're changing everything she fought for
in her life children mattered
like the singing preacher asked
such a long time ago
'...where do the children play...'

you can argue climate change
but you can't deny the quality of the air your breathing
when did we start bottling water just to take a drink
the taps are bleeding led
too late to fix the guts of generations who drank it with trust
how do you look at a storm in the eye
didn't you already prove your blind
or you just keep yours closed so no one can look in
so look deep inside your heart

and

'...tell me, where do the children play?…'

 BONUS POEM THE SEQUEL

Me? I Saw More.

the clown danced like a marionette
his painted face featured a grimace
and

and a tear

me?
i saw more

i smiled
no fear here

a performer
an amazing mime artist
a procurer of pathos

he was pulling a little red wagon
with a large orange hard ball
walking on the spot
performing 'funny'

me?
i saw more

we often have to carry more
than we think we can handle
our shoulders grow
atlas carried the earth on his shoulder
when we think we can do no more
we do even more than we need to

i saw more
the power of one
we don't need help
we need initiative
no brother or sister's need
is less important than our own
'give and you shall receive'

we are all more
it takes a strong child
to raise the values of a village
i can't win unless we all win
we have tried the blame game
five thousand years later

nothing

we are being led by weak men
want bigger and bigger guns
at a time when we have enough weapons
destroy the earth hundreds of times over

money is
has always been
evil

me?
i see more
i see you
and you
and you

ghandi was right then
ghandi is right now

do you see

 BONUS POEM THE SEQUEL TOO

Firefly

i am going to touch you
like a firefly touches
the dead of night
lights the obscurity

i want to illuminate
the pitch dark of your perspective
inject a bright glow of hope
cleanse your thoughts of the negative

did you argue today
felt regret
did the daily news invade your cheer
turned your 'in the pink' to something 'blue'

i am going to reignite your sense of calm
wave a wand -make your heart smile
warm your complexion to a glow
spread your goodwill worldwide

life i assure you isn't a rotting corpse
you have the strength
rise above the doom and gloom
you are presently living

the alternative is an untimely exit
unnecessary
i believe in laughter
and i believe in unconditional love

more
i believe when your back is against the wall
persistence will create a door
a passageway out of the muck and mire

no matter how thick the fog
it only takes a breeze
to clear a path
one you can ride to your destination of choice

BONUS POEM THE REBOOT

Colour Me Ill

i tried to fly today
nothing deep here
this isn't that type of poem
didn't go that well
i fell flat on my fa fa fa face
(pardon my stutter
a temporary side effect of the fa fa fa fall)

i wasn't writing any poetry
at the hospital either
all joking aside
there was a lot of blood
did you know that doctors
have no sense of humour

i was slurring anyways
you gotta love that morphine
they were cleaning up the blood
i said thanks dr. acula

not even a snicker
and i'm not speaking of a chocolate bar
wasn't even my joke
stole it from Mitch Hedburg

coincidentally the doctor left me in stitches

the nurse said she was taking me for an X-ray
i didn't really hear her but she was a knockout
something ..x
sounded go go good to me
i was running in front of the wheelchair she was pushing
i was excited

we got somewhere
she left
you gotta love that morphine
i must of impressed them
they thought i was a model
they took pictures of me
Bi Bi Big pictures
you should of seen the size of the negatives
i ordered ten sets

they pushed me outside and left
pa pa par for this course

suddenly my nurse date was back
they always come back

aanndd
she's gone

Love Is

Love is a rainbow mirrored in the sky
Its free, its beautiful and tells no lies

A gleaming reflection
Upon the still of a pond
The dewy mist on a freshly cut lawn

Love is a sanctuary for our innermost fears
A tiny capsule to hold all of our tears

A symbol of beauty, rare to be found
Its strength and convictions
Knows no bounds

Love is the touch of our first newborn
So soft, so delicate, so easy to adore

An unconditional consenting of souls
An awareness, a spirit, unique to its own

Love soothes and heals though cannot be bought
An eternal commitment so widely sought

Love is a truth and blossoms for few
A necessity of life, a uniting of hearts
A palette so stunning, so beautiful and new

Love is how I feel for you.

Angel in the Clouds

Angel in the Clouds

Sometimes you look up to the sky
And maybe you can find
In a large bank of clouds
The face and figure of an angel with wings
Who’s looking down on you.

It may be someone
You knew from the past
Who went to Heaven a long time ago.

And maybe that angel appears here now for you
Just to say “Hello”
And to make this moment very special.

You feel an enchantment in your heart
And sense a soft tingling on your cheek . . .

As if a kiss was placed there by this angel
With an encouraging touch on your shoulder
Giving you a wondrously warm feeling inside.

With this magical moment as you’re touched
By this angel . . .

You realize this angel loves you very much
And just came by to look after you
And to send you a joyous blessing
Right from Heaven—personally to you!

Amen.

LOVE

Love
Love is a thing

You can't see it nor can you touch it
But you sure can see and feel its effect

A deep affection that fills you joyfully
You are drunk on happiness

It's always understanding
To accept the good, the bad, and the weak

It has no cultural condition
It sees no boundary nor race

It's fearless and flawless
It just flows limitlessly

It's God's love
Nailed to the cross for you and me

It's in you and me
It's I love you and you and you and God

I am drunk on happiness
Because HE loves me unconditionally

Gentle Summer Rain

She writes about Fall's beauty in the rain
The falling raindrops' dance ascribing thence
Bespoken verse that lightens her refrain
before the time they met - her steps commence.

She listens to the soft and rhythmic thrum,
her love turned to escape and cloudy string
Where nimbus mistletoe fell, tears to become
Their kiss of Autumn was symbolic ring.

The first light cotton mists with summer rays
While skyward cheerful laughs adorn the land,
their ceremonial dance diffuses grays,
affectionate embrace, where dreams expand.

Upon September's sky the raindrops gleam
With half of hidden Sun to laugh and beam.

Lonely Dreams

I never knew following dreams could be this lonely,
But up on the hill, looking back, thank God I'm not the old me.
If the tears will fall, let them be;
I believe this is God's plan, follow your dreams.

An Open Window

I watch this world pass by, miracle after miracle, overcome with thoughts of life and death - heated in a buttery sky; the air melts into far corners, farther than my eyes can see. Faster, this world spins into eternity, faith, and possibilities. An open window becomes a gate to step through, a starting place - as a bluebird dips in the birdbath, squirrels scurry across green grass, a blue horizon darkens like a memory. Those who hurriedly pass by feign contentment with plastic smiles, earbuds, cell phones, a false sense of purpose. I feel content, at peace, and yet, I ache for more - a yearning from deep within. I feel it wash over my skin. Cars drive by, everyone’s going somewhere, but not I. I sit here…I watch. I whisper a short prayer for a friend, I remain silent with His answer – patience…all will work out in time; head bowed, I pray for His healing hands to touch me. In my father’s arms, I am comforted and whole. I am who He sees… sunlight traces storm clouds painting rainbows over shadowed trees, a beautiful canopy. His love flows through me, pouring out at Calvary. In the afternoon rain, I see each drop of blood. A choir of clouds congregate. I hear their worship song. I see a crown of thorns around them. I feel the weight of the cross He struggles to carry. Mangos fall with the rain from a shaken tree, then lay bruised on limp, wet leaves; flies begin to swarm around them; following the clouds trajectory, I envision more than I can bear - His slashed skin and mangled bones flash before my eyes. With hands nailed, He's hung on the cross in shame and suffering; every labored breath taken until death for an ungrateful world… my soul seems to understand what I cannot grasp…all of this, He did for me….and you. Love becomes more than a word, a blessing becomes more than a concept. I sit at my window unnoticed; I watch the world pass by - every leaf, pebble, bird, raindrop and new life, I see, like a child with a loving father, a miracle…

Shadow Puppets

Once, side by side, they walked the moonlit beach
in silence, each alone and incomplete
in detached worlds, joined only by the reach
of tiny, lapping waves upon their feet.
As silver beams of moonlight iced the ground
and blotted out the warmth of sandy gold,
the warmth of humanness was hidden, bound
beneath blind souls, that shivered in the cold.

Yet on the sand, their shadows danced along—
a silhouetted couple synchronized
in motion…forms united, clear and strong
against the blankness which the moon devised.

Dark shadow puppets sparked romantic light—
gave living souls new vision in their night.

The Hand of Love

The night air flowed over my breath
The covers not quite keeping me warm
Dreams caressing my past
My lover whispers in my ear

Sweet words, with her loving touch
Times long ago, where tenderness would flow
Her perfume flys away with the wind
Happy days my only true possessions

ahhh but love is not as it once was
Age makes the windmill turn slower
My lover caressing my pain
Raindrops falling, aroused in the wet rain
She my life, now I live with thoughts inane

Shivering,
She releases me from both pleasure and pain
Dreams of her splatter all over on top
My cover only a cardboard box
Wet from the weather
in the alley where I sleep

At dawn, there is a sharp pain in my rib
"out your bum, get the hell away"
Kicked and bruised I grab what I can
All I can think of is to run run run

Limping, onwards to the park
I feel a firm hand take hold of me
Stop young man, its raining cant you see?
Shocked I try to escape, fear invades me

In a softer tone the man says
Come with me son, out of the rain
The shelter is over there, close to your park
A warm meal, and and fresh bath will do you good

Father O'Brien pats the new one Davey on the back
Welcome son, here's a book if you care to read
Davey still in skeptical mode, being treated as human
Father O'Brien see this in his heavy eyes
He looks at Davey and whispers
I was once you, you see

The hand of love
Can mend a thousand hearts
When like the seeds of blooming flowers
We spread the love we were handed

Language Barrier

I couldn’t understand the language she spoke,

at least not all of it,

but the emotion pouring past her lips,

the tears in her eyes, her clenched and shaking fists

enunciated more clearly,

than any piece of English Poetry I had ever read,

and grabbed me, held me still.

…In that moment, her soul was in my arms.

In that finite, tender breath of our lives,

she was my mother, my best friend…

but I could not console her.

I didn’t have the words;

and my heart sank into the

concrete between us,

wet with the pain of God’s rain

and her tears.

                  …Were my tears

So, I simply opened my palms

toward her crouched form and

spoke the only words I could

fathom, that would be accepted

by a stranger on a dangerous street.

"I am sorry, It will be okay. God will bless you."

I knew she did not understand…

"Lo siento"

                  “que va a estar bien”

                            “Dios te bendecira’ “

the words were as messy as the overturned

duffle bag at her feet…and fumbled, slowly

from my lips, as my knees hit the street.

Two strangers, cried in the rain,

knowing nothing of each other’s suffering,

and yet we shared the weight,

together, for those few moments;

the barrier of language was broken.

Love spoke for us.

A PLACE IN THE SUN

A PLACE IN THE SUN A place in the sun, it's there I want to run. . . Orange and yellow palette brush my face, they dry my wells of fears and so I won, I-- slowly flower from God's skirt of grace. Unfailing is His love shown sweet to His face, I eagerly crave to behold in million tons as to entwine in His warmth: My Master race. A place in the sun, it's there I want to run. . . Rainbow peeping after some raging storm spun; His reminder that we: His people must chase infant days to grow better with our love ones. Orange and yellow palette brush my face for God so kind. My pains, He soothes and erase. Tender are His words as I read them one by one helping me be fearless yet humble with my pace. They dry my wells of fears and so I won-- then my heart soar high, I have some fun. Evil always haunts but with Him, all I can evade, hence, troubles are little but close to none. I slowly flower from God's skirt of grace. . . God crashes darkness with love not by gun. Must we go elsewhere when He is the best hiding place? God is everything before even life began God our undefeatable fortress-- His base a place in the sun. __________________________________________________ Sponsor Gail Angel Doyle Contest Name A Place In The Sun Placed 1st ©O>E. Listen With Your Heart

Listen, my fellow dreamers,
But listen with your heart,
And hear the silent music
Of which we're all a part.

Cover your ears, my dreamers
Lest the worldly tunes drown out
The inner magic symphonies
Of what life's all about.

Listen, listen, listen,
And hear the song of Love;
It's echoing within you,
Outside, beneath, above.

It's playing in the meadow
And in the city street;
Resounding in your friendships
And the stranger that you meet.

Listen, listen, listen,
To the symphony of Hope;
Its crescendo's growing louder
To help you grasp and cope.

It's drowning out the concert
Of trouble and of strife;
Just close your ears and listen
To this melody of life.

Listen, listen, listen,
To Faith's unending song;
There's magic in its music
To make and keep you strong.

Feel the mighty power,
It's flowing through your soul;
Its tune will conquer mountains
And fulfill your every goal.

Listen, listen, listen,
But listen with your heart,
And hear the silent music
Of which we're all a part.

Sunshine Radiance

Sunshine Radiance

Your love is my true sunshine radiance,
That greets me every day with such passion.
It sets my heart and emotions afire!
Words often fail me at times dearest one,
As I seek to share the depth of my love
For you and how it makes me feel daily.
The brightest of moons and stars in Heaven
Can’t match the splendor you bring to my life.
My heart is joyful when we touch and kiss!
Our love basks in your sunshine radiance!

Silent Stars

Stars come out to dazzle my eyes.
Glowing bright, they ignite my soul.
Like candles lit across the sky,
night inspires words to gently roll
from my lips to your waiting ear.
I profess my love to you only
when lights dim low, I hold you near,
and remember our life happily.
All the world seems to fade away
as I look at you in starlit night.
My dreams have changed, but here you’ve stayed.
You lift me when others fall from sight.
With you, I still feel like that girl
so innocent when we first met.
Like inside a shell, a gleaming pearl,
you still find me when I forget.
Blessings rained down when I found you,
more love and light than I could name.
All the heavens shined on me renewed,
and the stars fell silently in flames.

TRUE LOVE SAILED OVER SEAS

TRUE LOVE SAILED OVER SEAS Have I met trouble when I met your ocean eyes for beneath that steady gaze, I reach the highest sky? Slothful moon turned grey, so the stars: tired and pale when I behold your white angelic grace. . . Distant and unfamiliar you may seem, I wasn't afraid to run, run and catch your gleam without a guarantee of us becoming one, still, I pursue to behold you, my woman. I am no Romeo nor you are not Juliet but allow me to prove, I love immaculate... Hundred miles and hundred days we may separate, yonder, seasons change, my heart to you, I dedicate. Overseas, each time the ship reach the shore, immediately like thunder, I trip to the door for me to send my love letter or find a phone excited I am, the opportunity, I don't postpone! Pity at that time, no internet or cellphones yet so the instant a signal peeps, it's you, I first check. My ears blush and so I am in fever love each time our exchange of thoughts began. Then again while we talk, sometimes, the signal fret, or without proper warning our chats end to wreck. Coins gone and so time on shore is done, again I want to dial My sunshine smile not turning to the river Nile... My heart on somersaults when they hand me your letter like a little boy with his favorite toy, I keep it near my chest awhile I am on reversed cardiac arrest, I confess. Winter feeling I have blown and within is a summer weather, ten months or a year in the middle of the sea with only your letters and photo I kiss, I, in jubilee! Years passed, I came home and I search your address, my intentions of wanting to marry you, I will express. Your parents, unsure of me, they probe too much. How many women I touched-- I gone to bed with for am a sailor, they thought to any girl I resort, I was stunned but I remain calm and quiet as I know myself, loyal to you and no one else. I tried to woo them and prove, my only love is you. God must have blessed us-- as their stone heart melt, a year later, my dream of being your husband came true. _____________________________________________________________ ©O. E. Justice in the Quest For Love

I saw how martyrs longed for love, and so began the play of my flitting heart
A strange girl had I become, with airs of fickle dream,
My heart an embodiment of wonder to all that dared to behold it
Closing my eyes, I would find myself knowing something new would shine my way
Had I known what was coming, the dawn would seem far less appealing...

As all journeys begin, a darkness began to veer its head
The plot of reality melted in dissonant chords...
Dark blue fogs of doubt caked my mind and heart
Though the longing for love never left...
And had it left, no dawn would await me

I saw there were rules setting a foundation for my intensely embarked mark
I knew if I were to feel any twinge of fire,
I must first be rid of the fog...or at the very least find my way through it
How it stung as it hit my virgin skin, not like gentle clouds talking me through it,
Caressing, surrounding and seducing. . .
No, like a poison, the bleak thickness of the doubt choking me
Reducing me to child's tears...I toiled through its torments,
I rested upon rough rocks of rhetorics
Admiring their vitality and honesty...
At one point in time I had convinced myself that I was one of them
A rock- cold, rough... hardened and overlooked...destined to crumble
Though more demands surfaced on this quest for love's Justice

Weakened by the blue fogs blackening,
I cried out in the pit of my heart, surrendering before me
Words...kept so long inside...
I freed them from the strongholds of my darkest nights
And soon there was a deep, hypnotizing reply...

Justice, tall and proud, said from above the sinking pit,
"True, I have seen you before,
A token of adoration you have become,
Crying night after night in melodious black,
With little to take, and everything to give...
My demands are simple, as your longing is profound,
You, yes, you! Take my hand so I may hold you tightly..."

My mouth agape, I stretched out my hand to meet the vines of his fingers
Clutching in sparks, he breathed into me life... and promise of love

"Surrender your heart to the hope of love
When you find you are not alone, as none of you are,
When you praise with your singsong words that passion has altered,
Giving all to a soul you have yet to see,
You shall feel my hand lift you as I do now...
Soon once more, you shall learn- the dawn will always be dawn
And the night will always be your velvet pathway to Beyond."

This, Justice proclaimed in the voice of a thousand cries of birth
The overtones spilling out in rainbows of rapture

It was soon after his visit, I knew I must perform...
Surrender, faith, and action Three keys to the same door...
And they, golden and alight, were in my hands to use

The time came when my heart grew roses, thorns and all
And hearts smashed their way through, though I cherished the burn...
Fogs still lingered in the alleyway of fear
And now I knew not to inch my way near

For the punishment he had whispered like darts in my ear,
"If you, now seeing the truth, dismember your heart,
I will crush your petals into black abyss,
I will reduce you to dust, leaving the thorns,
I am animal in the face of failure,
My tolerance for hate is shorter than an ant beholding a mountain
And if you so much as reject my call,
Hate is exactly what I will allow,
And it will destroy you, oh singing heart..."

This I ask of Justice, on the day of my calling, and yet still today... -
"Tell me, oh spirit,
Phantom of Epiphany,
When the love I so long for locks tightly upon me,
Becoming me,
Shall it be as I dreamed,
Or shall I be wholly disappointed,
Left in the agony of reality,
Where roses grow, thorns and all...
Only to wither...and die...
?"

He was so gentle...that he merely smiled and left me...

It was right away, soon after his departure,
That I felt he never would fully leave...
He allowed me to weave my own dreams,
Finding out for myself if reality was truly as magical as they write
And as for an answer, as dull as this may sound... it is...

I, like many tearful martyrs before me,
Continue to long for a love that will fulfill me
Often reality teases me, and I know not if she is demon or angel
Though one day, I will see reality is on my side, ugly or not
The play of my flitting heart still beating its rhythmic drums
The rainbows of overtones lulling me into ecstasy,
As I see words of wisdom thriving in the hands that save

This, though little, I know-
Love is justice of reward beyond our wildest dreams
He sings to us every night, never making promises...
He just smiles and allows us to live it
He allows us to discover, and in turn give...
To enlighten others still trapped in the ruts of fog
Once we feel it, there is no turning back
Please do not let him crush those roses you have made...
Even their foundations were meant to reach the skies
Touching the brightest dawn...and Beyond..

Love you loads, and thank you immensely for inspiring me!

A Single Soul Cries Out

A Single Soul Cries Out

Across this barren lake my ghost did sail
lost and heading straight into another hell
Behind, remnants of a dark and wayward past
treasures stored that shall never last

Sunny skies ever looking down upon me
joined by those memories soul sought to flee
No wind to send my ghost sailing right along
on the shore images of a faceless throng

So far ahead a welcoming sandy white beach
forever racing farther and farther from my reach
No deeds to perform to gain my deep reprieve
only memories of those I so easily did deceive

Within this lonely lake a single Soul cries out
forgive me , forgive me , in a wailing shout!

Robert Lindley

note: Once a man raced about all alone,
stumbled upon a rolling stone,
fell into a headlong dismay,
gathered the courage to just pray,

Words that did by faith then atone,
soon the condemnation was forever gone..

Crystal Bowl

Crystal Bowl

A gold fish swimming round and round.
His world of glass is all surround.
Round and round, day and night
        every round, reunite.
Day after day, night after night,
Everywhere he looked, always the same sight.
Outside of his bowl, there was a window.
in the horizon something full of glow.
It looked like a pond, further than beyond.
When he called that pond, there was no respond.
Love first taste is sweet, it makes you complete.
But if you mistreat, pain always repeat.
Dreaming day and night, of that golden sight,
Cool and clear night was filled with golden light.
Broken heart will cry is not satisfied.
The meaning of the ” love” is always mystified.
Outside of the house a narrow twisted creek
having conversation, with a language of mystique.
Calling up our fish, knew about his wish.
Telling him” love” is, painful and foolish.
Telling him that life is a stream that flows;
hoping for the rain, wishing for rainbows.
Gold fish heard the stream, which destroyed his dream.
In order to redeem, did something too extreme.
Jumped out of his bowl, thinking of his goal;
The golden pond became his body and his soul.
He landed on the ground; the dirt was all around,
The meaning of the “love”, for him got so profound.
He started to scream, his voice was just steam.
What if there is no dream? Death will be supreme!
He twisted, flipped and flipped, by luck in water he tripped.
His breathing came along, in water he was equipped.
He swam in back and forth, he twisted south and north
He cried in water cold, of what the” love” is worth.
He passed through his teens; his youth flew like dreams;
The autumn came and gone, his winter had no greens.
He reached the golden place; the place was filled with grace;
His life began to shine, the sadness showed no trace.
Swim and swim in wine, makes your soul refine.
If you swim in “ love”, love will let you shine.
A fisherman cruel and old; with eyes reddish and cold
He cast his net so wide, for fish the truth unfold.
Our fish cried and cried, his world got cold and dried.
His life was passed him by, he gave up and complied.
The next day for our fish, was filled with tarnish;
Once more crystal bowl is fraught with anguish.
This time golden pond, that was far beyond;
Called our golden fish, he got no respond.
Love first taste is sweet, it makes you complete.
But if you mistreat, pain always repeat.
Remember our fish with his golden wish;
If you fall in love, get wild and foolish.

Radiant Eyes

Radiant Eyes Radiant eyes, you haunt my dreams, And ignite imagination. Piercing gems, a hint of moonbeams, Spark my quest for exploration. Just like a lighthouse, at night, they gleam And guide me to your loving arms. Your love and strength govern supreme, And protect me from daylight harms. But soon, the earth, in all her schemes, Pulls me from salvation. At dawn’s early rise, I am, it seems, Bled of sweet intoxication. Oh radiant eyes, where do you go, When the nightmare of morn has begun? I try to forget, but the soul with the glow Lingers ’til I come undone. Hours are so long, when will I see you In the waking light of day? Colour my world with your radiant hue And end my nightmare grey. 5th December 2016 Inspired By Daniel Turner's poem: "I Found You In The Moonlight"

Marriage

I was told...
A happy marriage is based on communication
A healthy marriage is based on
understanding each other's beliefs and differences
A fine marriage is based on
respect, trust, and love
For better or worse
In good times or bad times
Forever till death do us part
Perfection we crave
But... what perfect aliens are those
defying all odds
Then I learned... there is no such
perfection in our kind
Even a happy marriage can fall apart
when the important become second
Even a healthy marriage can
fall apart when stress arises
Even a fine marriage can fall apart
when the essence of trust slips into doubts
Yes I believe... it all comes down to HOW we
treat each other
So... for better NOT worse
Be in it because it's what your heart desires
NOT what your mind fools you to want
Be in love with each other with all your heart
and soul NOT you have no choice but stay
Need each other physically and emotionally
NOT just financially
And be in it because life would be meaningless
without each other
And last but not least... appreciate each other

Perfection is when you smile genuinely!

Where Hard Rocky Crags Meet White Foamy Sea

Where Hard Rocky Crags Meet White Foamy Sea

Where hard rocky crags meet white foamy sea
rip-roaring splashes, sing softly to me.
Under starlit heavens, big yellow moon
Our fleeting lives vanish far, far too soon!

Where waiting sands absorb bold, mighty waves
further out lay, lost ships and lone sea graves.
Yet sadness can not diminish this view
Or hide the spot where I proposed to you!

I see again, star glow in your bright eyes
and hear that quick yes and your happy cries.
My darling, in this, our sweet tale lays bound
unbreakable vows, true love we both found!

Where hard rocky crags meet white foamy sea
rip-roaring splashes, remind me of thee!

Oh How Bright Your Eyes Did Shine

Oh How Bright Your Eyes Did Shine
(by Michael P Clarke and Robert J. Lindley)

Oh How Bright Your Eyes Did Shine that morning,
I held you so close and the world was mine,
we shared our love as the day was dawning,
I drank from your goblet, our love divine.

Sunlit echoes played to our beating hearts,
precious, very precious our love-held Time.
We had it all and all that bliss imparts,
our days and nights joyous, dreams so sublime.

Our song it was sung our hearts love displayed,
love was our journey a heaven divine,
now in our hearts memories we replay,
Love in our summer that ever did shine.

May forever, dawns wake us together.
In true depths of love, bid us fair weather.

Michael P Clarke and Robert J. Lindley collaboration.

Truly was an honor and great pleasure to collaborate with my very talented friend, Micheal P. Clark on this sonnet..
Such inspiring verses Michael presented for me to write to ..
Any time my friend...

I'm my Daddy Made Over

Dedicated to my Dad Jerry W. Niday 3/20/1952 - 6/18/2013

I am who I am because of him
He’s the reason for my son’s name
He gave me my courage & my strength
To stand tall even when standing wasn’t easy
Stand for the ones who can’t
To think and fend for myself
I’m my Daddy made over

Taught me to fight back
To never back down
How to pick myself back up
When I’ve been knocked down
Fight for what I believe
I’m my Daddy made over

He gave me my stubbornness
Gave me my pride
Gave me my temper
Taught me not to take crap
To speak my mind no matter who
Work for what I want
I’m my Daddy made over

How to keep my emotions in check
How to handle large amounts of pain
When in trouble he always had my back
He knew how my mind worked better than anyone
I got it from him
I’m my Daddy made over

Even though he’s gone
I’ll stand and continue on
I may stumble I may fall
May even get hurt along the way
But I’ll pick myself back up
I’ll dust myself off and stand tall
I’m honored and proud to say
I’m my Daddy made over

The Hypocritical Christian

I am the hypocritical Christian.
I say I follow Christ,
But I'm still consumed by my demons.
I go to church on Sunday,
But I refuse to invite someone back.
I want to serve on mission,
But I'm too afraid to act.
They think I read The Bible,
But I just fall asleep in it.
They think I'm positivity and smiles,
But underneath I'm death and addictions.
They think I'm clean and pure,
But I'm broken and mistaken.
I say I'm not worthy of His love,
But Jesus will never let me be forsaken.
I pray long prayers,
But inside they're empty repetition.
It might look as if my faith is strong,
But my core is too easily shaken.
I say the things I'm supposed to say,
But don't follow His actions or obey.
I speak the truth the church wants to hear,
But deep inside on matters I don't know what to believe.
I walk in shame as if I'm not good enough
To be loved by God and saved through Christ,
But there is nothing I could ever do to earn His peace;
It's a free gift.
I accept;
Now forgiven, changed, and released.
Thank You God,
Thank You Jesus,
Thank You Holy Spirit!
In Jesus' Holy Name,
We pray,
Amen!

I AM YOUR SERVANT

I AM YOUR SERVANT I adore You Oh God, my King and my God, The Most Powerful among all... I am Your servant Father God I want nothing but to follow You Tomorrow Oh Father God Coat us with the Holy Blood of Your Son Jesus Christ Father God, I acknowledge that You alone is the greatest source of wisdom, strength and guidance. Tomorrow Father God, me and my brothers and sisters in Christ will walk and try in every way to win souls as one Father God, we will try to seek for the lost, empty and sick as one Father God, we will share our life testimony this the life changing experience we have had since the day we accepted You as our God as one Oh Father God, we will be united in one will and one mission this is to widen Your kingdom We will do this by sharing Your gift of salvation and healing Oh Father God, I ask You humbly to fill us Cleanse and purify our hearts and minds Allow us to be worthy in partaking this task Sent unto us Your Holy Spirit to empower us I believe oh Father God that if one or two is gathered under Your Name You are in the midst of them I invite Your presence to engulf our beings Open our spiritual eyes to see those who needs you most Open our ears to be sensitive to Your living words--our bread of life Open our hands to give the best of what we have to serve You and I believe anything we will do for Your greater glory You will refill You said to Your words You will provide us everything Open our hearts and minds so that we may fully understand the preaching Oh Father God, Your servant is not a good speaker but I believe Father God, thru Your Divine POWER You will anoint me and so the words that will come out from my mouth are the words You want us to know Oh Father God, Your servant is not a singer but I believe Father God You will lead me. You will not much care on how my voice is. The most You will care about is the voice of my heart. You will care on the purity of my intentions for You know that I am singing a song to lift Your Name on high, To give You praise, To bring You glory and to bless Your Holy Name. I sing songs to thank You and to express my love on You. Oh Father God, Your servant is not "somebody" but I believe Father God You will make a "somebody" or "nobody" be "someone" under Your Name Like King David in the Holy Bible the youngest, the shepherd but You made Him the man closest to Your Heart Like Paul and Peter whom scared you turned them as two of Your greatest apostles. Oh Father God we rely on You, We seek Your presence in us Allow us to wear Your armour: a helmet that is Your salvation a belt that is the truth a breastplate that is righteousness a shield that is a fortified faith a pair of shoes that is Your living Words a sword that is Your Holy Spirit dwelling in us. I am thirsty and hungry for Your presence in my life. I know You alone can fill the holes still present in me. I offer myself as Your servant Father God speak to me, speak to me reveal to me, reveal to me tell me more, tell me more... Amen. ___________________________________________________________ O.E.
