Reflections: Midlife Crisis

P aranoia permeates, etching itself into your fractured face,
A cacophony of constant pressure; life remains a stressful race,
N othing to hope for, no positives like promotion in the workplace,
I nability to love, relationships lift anchor and set sail without chase,
C hildren crushing dreams under mortgages; age grows with disgrace

The Retirees

There are so many out there who, like me,
have left their occupations and are free.
Emancipated seniors now are we.

Relinquishing the time clocks of the past,
emerging from the glory and the grind,
transformed throughout those years that went so fast,
inspired by dreams, you leave those days behind.
Rebirth awaits with chances fresh and new.
Embark upon bold journeys; bravely go.
Ephemeral, sweet life still beckons you,
so plant your seeds and watch your future grow.
