Listening To The Wind

Listening to the wind whisper her name,
as the unceasing waves cascade ashore
igniting passion’s insatiable flame.

Cupid’s arrow flew with uncanny aim,
striking my heart at its romantic core
listening to the wind whisper her name.

Seeking no answers nor assigning blame,
as the keys of love unlock every door
igniting passion’s insatiable flame.

Primordial urges run wild to tame,
inviting feelings I wish to explore
listening to the wind whisper her name.

Lying naked oblivious to shame
I'm happier now than ever before,
igniting passion’s insatiable flame.

Completely different, and yet the same,
in love with an angel that I adore.
Listening to the wind whisper her name,
igniting passion’s insatiable flame.

A Love Lost

How could I be so careless with you?
Allowed my dreams to be expectations.
I loved you so much but now I have lost you.

	To another’s arms I flew,
	what were my intentions?
How could I be so careless with you?

She laughed and bid me adieu,
was I fooled by her fairy like tokens?
I loved you so much but now I have lost you.

Why could I not stay true?
All that is left, just disillusions,
How could I be so careless with you?

While I was alone my love blossomed anew
I think of you and my life sweetens
I loved you so much but now I have lost you.

And Her Sugarless Tea

Now for warm oatmeal with honey and her sugarless tea
To this chrysoberyl dawn rescue from chuted linen bedlam,
For here's a bedside tale to whispered promise and plea.

She sits on her hands and shuffles her ugg boots,
And watches me toast, I'm butter, I'm smoked ham.
Now for warm oatmeal with honey and her sugarless tea.

Pepper shakes, egg white eyes, her yawning toots,
Her champagne hair bubbles still of our liquory sham,
For here's a bedside tale to whispered promise and plea.

The wonder to her sprite body and this morn in cahoots,
When I feels like I'm sunken, with lids like a sleepy clam.
Now for warm oatmeal and honey and sugarless tea.

Not flowers on feathers, hoodlums we are - munchy and moose,
Nothing much matters but her lippy kiss coat of strawberry jam
For here's a bedside tale to whispered promise and plea.

This first light and cigarette and her shuffling caboose
Closer, comfier, her smile on my shoulder, to the day be damn'
Now for warm oatmeal with honey and her sugarless tea,
For here's a bedside tale to whispered promise and plea.

Passion's Embrace

In passion's embrace I lay
held tightly to my lover's chest
watching as the night turns to day

beams of sunshine light up the bay
as I play with my lover's vest
in passion's embrace I lay

In his hair my fingers do stray
his kiss lingering with love's zest
watching as the night turns to day

My laughter rings out oh so gay
as teasing he nips me in jest
in passion's embrace I lay

Now in my heart loves tunes do play
we dance my head against his chest
watching as the night turns to day

To the musical notes we sway
ever together in love's quest
in passion's embrace I lay
watching as the night turns to day

With All My Heart

With all my heart I love you so
Since the very first day we met
I thought I just let you know

Our love is stronger and continues to grow
There had been no sense of regret
With all my heart I love you so

You have always been there when times were low
No broken vows of passion as of yet
I thought I just let you know

Three simple words that let my feelings show
Obstacles in our past we now forget
With all my heart I love you so

You'll always be in my heart wherever you go
And with three growing kids I have certainly no regret
I thought I just let you know

We've been together now - twenty years ago
even from the very first day we met
With all my heart I love you so
I thought I just let you know

winter's film star

You're the reason I rise on a winters day .
You put that glint in my eye and a smile on my face.
Your my Hollywood hero a star of matinee.

You're the girl of my dreams my ideal castaway.
Those smiles that you give me, your just ace.
You're the reason I rise on a winters day.

You're the moon and the stars reflected on a wind swept bay.
In a race for my heart you would always get first place.
Your my Hollywood hero a star of matinee.

I would walk on hot coals from here to Bombay.
To be by your side, and see that smile, face to face.
You're the reason I rise on a winters day.

People may frown but you'll be mine one day.
Your my favourite member of the human race.
Your my Hollywood hero a star of matinee.

I would whisk you off your feet and take you away .
And every day your beauty I would showcase.
You're the reason I rise on a winters day .
Your my Hollywood hero a star of matinee.

The apple blossom blooms in May:
that's when I first said, with a sigh,
"I love you, but I don't know why."

Each seed its season, dog its day,
the law of life from up on high.
The apple blossom blooms in May.

I know you'd thank me not to say,
with trembling hand and burning eye,
"I love you," - but I don't know why.

Though Spring is now a year away,
I long to see those long months fly,
till apple blossom blooms in May.

I can't say why I feel this way,
no reason see, or sense descry:
I love you, but I don't know why.

I don't know why the petals fly,
or why, though it's ordained to die,
the apple blossom blooms in May.

I love you, but I don't know why.
