A Halloween birthday Tanka

Oh Halloween babe
born under October's moon
weave with forlornment
your bewitching adornment
of a harvest leaf festoon.

Faces in pumpkins
awake memories of when
the children were young;
and "Trick-or-Treat!" rung
the holiday season in.

Scorpio woman
wipe away your wistful tear
and tend to the craft
of your birthday draught
to toast your forty-first year.

True Target

I have a target,
Over my head and you
Want me to trust you
Little do I know
The target was always my heart

Queen’s birthday April 21
Birthday of my Dad the same
And his fourth daughter’s
As is the same as my son’s
Dad cried, “A King for A Day”!

My Mom's 90th Birthday

My mom turn ninety

what a blessed moment

God is still in charge

they came from near and far

in rainbow shades with love.

Birthday Flowers

watching as he crossed the street

  flowers in his hand

    crushed and tattered petals fall

      gray haired woman sits

         present for grandma...

Today is my birthday and nobody knows.
I weep silently with shallow eyes.
I long to reach up and hug the SKIES.
Am I less than or maybe more than a
Thought to MORE than one?
Am I the only being under the sun?

Grape vine

I see my future
in your verses - so divine,
those are like grape vines ;
the juices of your wisdom
drip to satisfy my thirst

the toy ambulance
a kind relative gave him
I try to accept
but the siren goes hours and hours
more than even a god can bear

he does not have
size, nor age either,
and makes no sound
no hills up and down
but it goes through virginal campus
as beauty's devil big-head fool!

it really is
a year
child, or boy
ah, very well invisible
no style

do not know
they can live so
watch it
love it
and still wondering it.

spirit’s star blazes
angels slough caste to chorus
tongues of shepherds freeze
pride-twisted scripture withers
born clean is the King of Souls

Trick Candles

Candles in the cake
Remember you about age
While blowing out the
Trick candles that seem to give
Some fun for a little while

Wish In Your Mind

While blowing candles
Think about a desired wish
Keep it for yourself
Eat a sumptuous cake slice
Savor the moment with joy

Birthday Day

The three level cake
With chocolate top frosting
Waits to be served with
Two vainilla ice cream scoops
At the end of the party

Red Velvet

A loaf of sweet lump,
Layered with cream and sprangles
Carried in a bash,
Gave us joy and happiness
As we devour in one bite!
