Love Poem 29

Every day, I fall in love with something new,
while maintaining the love I have already found.

I fall in love with scars, wrinkles,
clichés, and repetition; I fall in love
with items that people throw to the wind,
kick around, and step upon.

I fall in love with my enemies,
one of life's hardest lessons to learn;
I find haters to be marvelous motivators.

The old man who sits in a rain-gorged gutter,
his fist raised to the sky in fury
as he talks to an invisible audience
about how Apollo stole his dearly, beloved wife—

I fall in love with him too.

I fall in love with things that some people deem
as ugly, dirty, morose, and immoral.
The more I fall in love,
the more I love each moment,
including the pain, torture, and misery
that may unfold along the way.

Every day, I fall in love with something new,
while reinforcing the love I have already found.

If I write down treasonously teetering words,
the reader could assume such words
to be rooted in rage, or a cynical outlook,
when the words are actually birthed from love—
I love every word in existence.

I fall in love with the woman
who is too shy to have a sincere conversation with anyone,
because she believes herself to be grotesque,
when in fact, she is exquisitely gorgeous.

I fall in love with broken daffodils, bent daisies,
a shattered seashell, the sweet stench of seaweed
rotting on the shore, and the way her hair smells
baking in the sun.
I fall in love with black and white photographs,
mesmerized by the essence that the dead have left behind.
I fall in love with marbles, the feathers of mourning doves,
and with the stray cat, who, after she watched the moving truck
drive away, slunk around the alley in search of scraps—
over the years, she has proven to be a respectful
and loyal companion (so easy to fall in love with, again and again,
while maintaining the love I already have).
I fall in love with saints, villains, rusted watering cans,
the way sunlight bends into prisms
when it shines through the cracked, antique windowpane
that I simply don't want to replace.

And as for the people who believe that it's impossible
for someone such as myself
to fall in love with something new, every, single day,

well, I love them too.

Closer

The sky resembles the robin's eggshells
                                                      scattered across the ground,

a blue so seemingly infinite yet fragile,
cracks running between understanding and madness

       complementing each other

as divine truths in their own right
to conquer my mind,
to unhinge the doors,
making it unnecessary to pick rusted locks

      letting thoughts fly free,
releasing love out into the horizon.

If frozen within caged snapshots of mildewed expectations,
      it will surely die,
                 but even so,
I was willing to strangle it by holding on too tightly.

Until I saw the sky and eggshells today

Peppered clouds reflected on the water,
                                            paralleling speckles on the eggshells,
remind me of the freckles on your face.

  We need to be wide-open-free,
                                                we need to fly,
without focusing too hard on shells of yesterdays.

We need to unclench our fists,
unclench our tongues,
explore the vast blue peppered sky

                                                      on wings of letting go....

so that we can once again feel with purity,
so that we can hold each other ever closer.

Love One Another

“Peace I leave with you
           my peace I give you
I do not give to you as the world gives
Do not let your hearts be troubled
do not be afraid” (John 14:27)

But I am scared
      Blood runs down streets
      Hatred, rage, violence dance
            In a chaotic frenzy performance
                     of evil malice . . .

What do your words mean?
Are they void – empty promises?
Where is the peace in deafening explosions?
In the cacophony of rapid gun fire?
     Screams of horror?
           Tears of death???

“I am the resurrection and the life
The one who believes in me will live
                 even though they die
and whoever lives by believing in me will never die
Do you believe this?” John 25:26

Yes, I want too . . .
But fear creeps around my heart
Its cancerous fibers sinking deep – choking me
Doubts greet me in the morning
     Panic sleeps in my bed
     I am weak
     Hear my cries of desperation

“Be strong and courageous
       Do not be afraid
       do not be discouraged
for the Lord your God will be with you
                wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9)

Stay close – fill me
     I cannot see –
     Darkness surrounds me
     Death, destruction, desecration, depression
     Blood, bitterness, bile, blight

“I have come into the world as a light
so that no one who believes in me
             should stay in darkness
If anyone hears my words but does not keep them
I do not judge that person
For I did not come to judge the world
but to save the world” (John 12:46-47)

I cannot begin to fathom this
         How great is this love
               Forgiveness over revenge
	           Peace over violence
	                Life over death
	                        Love over hate
                  Help me I pray

“A new command I give you
              Love one another
             As I have loved you
so you must love one another” (John 13:34)

Love one another . . .

- Peace, Love, and Gods Greatest Gift -

The mellifluous musical tones of the village bells

Echoing chimes over the cold snowcapped mountains

Both finding their way to people in the valley below

Christmas songs — let your spirit sing freely and loudly

Welcoming the Birth of Our Savior and Baby King

Who so charms the Angels on High and God Himself

On this night, The Star was so beautiful, clear, and shiny

Crisp and so crystal-bright, centered above and beyond

Reflecting now the Lord God’s most divine and holy light

There is real magic in the night air as Heaven rejoices aloud

The child and the infant’s divine soul breathe life now intently

Fulfilling truly God’s very promise and His hope to Mankind

Keep this Christmas spirit — share it with others near and far

Grace filled with good tidings as we dance on wings of joy

We all now celebrate in great happiness, love, and kindness

Christmas is forever — and you must never ever close this door

Faith always enters, carrying His guiding torch high and proud

And encouraging Man every step of the way on his long journey

Even in a simple cradle where the Baby Jesus so innocently lay

Heaven doth bathe His cradle with the warmest rays of divine light

Bespeaking the heavenly beauty, joy, and wonder of Our Savior

Amazing peace makes a lovely gift, I wish for all of us to have

As new life blossoms, wrapped in petals of an immaculate heart

God’s holy blessing, love, and intention are clear for all to see

That Holy Night the Angels entire sang mirthfully on Christmas Eve

Praising Almighty Lord God in Heaven on the birth of His only son

The Angels’ paeans echoed in their divine beauty across the Universe

To bring peace now, glowing with your love, is His divine intention

Rejoicing in God’s Greatest Gift to Mankind who was born in a manger

Destined to become Our Most Holy and Divine Savior — Amen! Amen!

Magic Beans

Our first awareness
      falling through time
through blood-rain, pure white snow, green vegetation
      down into deep earth
      warm sunshine
      cool wind
      soaking rain

Energy flowing-up through our pod
      each day we grew bigger
snug together with brothers and sisters
      bursting our little cozy shell
      then one day
      a father and daughter
      plucked us from the vine
stripped – we lay bare upon a tray
      disorientated and tender but alive
a life force deep inside us
      our skin soft but hardening
then sleep . . . waiting for the one

Daddy!! Come see the beans
They changed colors
I see brown ones with white specks
      Yellow with black dots
      Orange with blue stripes
But wait . . . there are three larger beans that seem to glow and vibrate
      one is blood-red
      another . . . brilliant white
      the last . . . forest green
What does this mean daddy?
Is it evil?

No my sweet darling
These are special beans
Descended from an ancient garden long ago . . .
      no longer of this world
It was a place of love and light
No death but a deep communion between mother earth and us
The three beans are: Peace, Purity, Prosperity

These beans will feed a starving world
      Bring healing to the hurting
      Laughter to the downtrodden
      Hope to the desolate
      Love to the unloved
      Life to the dead
These beans hold deep magic

How do they work Daddy?
      a worthy woman is chosen
      who is humble of heart
      strong in spirit
      wise in love

Who is this lady?
      the magic beans choose
they only appear to the one female
you, my darling . . . you are the one

Me? I am only a girl
I have none of these things . . .
the beans see deep within a soul
      they never lie
      they have chosen you
together you will change the world!

Daddy, I am scared . . .
I am shaking
I am not worthy
      breathe deeply, close your eyes
put the beans in your mouth

Daddy, I taste sweetness
Molasses, ginger, caramel . . . now chocolate
I see visions upon the wind
Blood, wars, rage, yelling . . . unbearable things
yes, darling the evil is strong here
let the blood from the red bean flow
let it mingle with your love
it will defeat this evil and bring
      healing and forgiveness . . . peace

The white bean is singing with my voice – Daddy!
Sweet is her song
I see merriment, laugher, dancing . . .
People hugging and holding hands
My tears are falling
Filling rivers with waters of light, love and purity
Joy reverberates from mountains peaks

From my open lips runs rich green sap
Deep does the earth drink
Big drafts of life and love
I see fields flowing with
Cream, honey, and wine
Trees waving to the sun
The earth is rejoicing

I see beans being planted
In a garden
A man and a little girl
yes, my Little One, soar now
fill the world with your love
fill the wind with your song
      love generously

Such is the magic of these colored beans

WORLD DAY AGAINST RACISM

You asked me the other day, my friend, who
I am
I replied:
I am you in another body!
Yes, it is true,
Look how much the same we are,
No matter what,
The color
The creed
The race
The status

Look,
I am born and die
Suffer and enjoy
Love and hate, just
Like you!

I am a father, a brother, a son,
A mother, a sister, a daughter, just
Like you,

Happiness I seek, family to raise I wish,
Peace to find I look for, just
Like you

I yearn
I abhor

I fear
I hope

I bleed
I heal, just
Like you,

I believe
I doubt

I accept
I refuse

I laugh
I cry, just
Like you

We are alike
We are the same
We are brothers, children of
A unique father

Tell me,
My brother, my friend, my ally,
Why have we:
To oppose
To fight
To hurt
To destroy and
To eliminate
One another?

Are really
Our seas that narrow?
Our oceans that small ?
Our lands so limited to
Contain all of us?

Or

Is it the case that
Our hearts are not big enough
And
Our minds not so wide-open to
Enfold all mankind?

Listen to me, my other self,
It is up to us to change this world, we
Have inherited, with its:
Virtues and vices
History and culture
Flaws and merits
And
Try to make it
Better
Nobler
Kinder and a more
Caring world

By:
Obliterating harmful beliefs
Demolishing injurious divisions
Destroying detrimental distrust
Annihilating racism and
Eradicating the erroneous feeling of
Poisonous superiority
For to
Bring the dawn of a new loving world,
A world,
Of acceptance
Of respect
Of justice
Of equality
Of love
And
Of universal brotherhood

So as

With peace in our hearts, liberated we
Would be from
Past’s deleterious tribulations
That
For myriads of years, have kept us, fighting
One another!

Streets of blood

Streets of blood

She stood upon the terrace high
streets of blood below
The gate left open in the night,
a dark sky threatens snow

With swine and pearls running free
her bed sheets fought the wind
A tear drop fell her worried eyes
at hate now once again

Of drawbridge wars in endless fight
to stones of castle keep
A single rose a’ bloom this dawn
as mothers come to weep

For sons of father’s destined fall,
these followed footsteps bare
Along the streets so narrow, long,
where death becomes aware

“Enough!” she shouted far and wide
“This fighting now shall end”
“Take your swords and hateful spite,
do not return again”

And lifting high her amulet
upon a staff of wood
She chanted as the stone did glow
this morning where she stood

“Of peace, let all be felt this hour
Thy breath of saddened greed
Be gone, be gone, oh beast of war
No longer doth thou feed

Ye shadows o’er a nightfall mist
Lest blood befall your hand
Beyond this tree lined sacred place
Be gone from this our land”

When then a mighty wave did flow,
the streets were cleansed of fear
And there beyond horizons call
the sunrise did appear

And where once sat a single rose,
one thousand buds did grow
Of crimson red and silken gold,
the sweetest fragrance flow

Mothers hugged their children close
as loudly trumpets blared
The bloodied streets now white with snow
and love by all was shared

But there within the canyons lurked
cast eyes of beaded red
“I shall return to take this place
O’ ye who think me dead”

“To once more fill yon streets with blood
of this ye can believe
No matter what the masses want,
know this, I shall not leave”

You Know

Yes, my dear, you know, You are my source of joy, rejuvenation, hope I need your emotion spread onto my life, I need your heart to sing among the darkness surrounding Do not let our words run dry Together, in strength, we will always know And now you know, So smile, be joyous, and kiss these candid truths For they proclaim your greatness to the universe In shouts of glory, in loving whispers, On every shine of ocean shivers, You know You will always know I love you for you

GRANDPA

*GRANDMA WAITS IN THE GARDEN*

Hi, grandpa, it's me again!
Your dentures sit in an open glass above the nightstand
Remember the tears grandma sang before she passed?
The way she looked into your eyes,
Moments before she said her goodbyes
Grandpa, I found a note from grandma,
She waits for you.

Hi grandpa, it’s me again!
The rocking chair is old and dusty
Remember the way grandma sat me on her lap?
Read many stories before I took a nap
How she enjoyed stroking my hair with her hands
I miss the way she rocked me to sleep every night

Hello, grandpa!
I stored your hearing aid away
Remember that special musical box in grandma's drawer?
I opened it last night, to watch the ballerina soar
I wish you could hear the tiny chimes grandma loved
I hope you don’t mind, I’m keeping grandma's favorite scarf

Hello, Grandpa!
I'm caressing grandma’s picture frame
Remember the way she looked in the yellow pretty sundress?
Grandpa, I miss the things grandmother did for you
Like the walking cane, she handcrafted before she left

Hello, grandpa, it's me again!
Here I sit holding your hand
I have no more tears
Soon you will see her again
She will no longer be alone
Say hi to her, give her a kiss
Tell her I miss her so much
Bye, grandpa

MOON and SEA

~Moon & Sea~

Hey, boy won't you open that door?
Let's sing and walk by the shore

Come and spread out your eyes
Block looking for reasons, and ways?

The cosmos are more than a space to explore
Don't hide when I need.... Plus more.

Finish playing a master in disguise!
Let's find the perfect sunrise, sunset surprise.

Put your arms around me
Allow your moon to reflect off my sea

Too much time has passed you by
Come outside with and view the horizon up high

I've got my eyes set upon you
There's no need to feel blue

Hey, boy comes, climb up this tree!
I'm going to show you all the things you can't touch, you can't see.

Let's fit the luxury and beauty of this world into our play.
Don't say them words that will set me free to walk away.

Take this kiss and see how it feel deep within your heart.
Close your eyes in my garden, and draw with the fragrance of art

I want to take you into that space, astronomy love.
Making it easy to float with the clouds way up above.

Glide away from the blame of gravity and self-destruct.
A bounce of the dust of hurt when you fall and get cut.

Boy, let's hold in this perfect air together.
Leave the cold end of someone else's weather.

Follow me beyond the distance of chemistry.
I will expose your moon and explain the physics of my sea.

Give it another chance and you will see!
Your moon, is skin deep, needing water from me.

Turn on the tune in your heart, and listen to me.
In every sunrise, the moon entwines with the sea.

ONE FOR ALL

God is all colours
And He is no colour,
For He lives in the black
And He lives in the white.
He lives in the mixed,red
Olive, brown and yellow,
For He lives in the heart
Where colours out of sight.

God is all creeds
And he is no creed.
He lives in the Muslim
And He lives in the Jew.
He's there in the Hindu,
The Christian, the Buddhist.
In all true believers
And the doubters too-

So why all this predjudice
Because of colour?
Why all this thinking
There's a chosen race?
Why are we fighting
In the name of religion?
When surely God wears
Every human face.

Man has differences
Man has opinions.
That is the way
The human race is run.
God is only ONE GOD
However we see him.
He's one for all,
So that all can be ONE.

Each Day Takes its Turn

Standing firm
we live
we give
we take
we learn
we strive to make sure
each day enlightens us
and brightens us
even as light fades to gray
may we keep fighting
with two swollen feet
beneath the body and soul
experiencing trials
and intense life lessons
meshed with stresses
may we persevere
turn off fear's song
may we stand firm
as we glide along
through shifty winds of change
that may cause things to sway
rearrange
but we hold true
inside the values and morality
we stand for
we
fall for nothing
we
may stumble along the trip
we
may swerve at the wheel yet
we
do not lose our grip
because no one
can eclipse the sun
yet
everyone heals
before they're done

Just when situations arise
flooding us with pain we despise
and just when it seems like
our tear ducts are dry
from ongoing cries
we may think
things are on the brink of ending
then God shows us the ways of faith
by way of love that he's sending

Standing firm
we live
we give
we take
we learn
we make sure
every day enlightens us
and brightens us
as each day takes its turn.

Lonely Dreams

I never knew following dreams could be this lonely,
But up on the hill, looking back, thank God I'm not the old me.
If the tears will fall, let them be;
I believe this is God's plan, follow your dreams.

Isle of Bast

Memories of the North Sea
sift in like sand kernels
on a fast, frigid tide:
events that transpired outside
the confines of rhyme,
unfolding exactly
as they were meant to.

Never before had I seen
so many shades of gray;
the overcast, monochromatic splendor
was awe-inspiring,
instead of being bleak and bleary.
___

The smell of salt and seaweed
awakes something dormant and eternal,
deep within me.
I have a surging desire
to flush stagnancy from my blood—

salty blood and water
come together in a communion
of distant relations and movements.

Beside me, a flash of bright red
digs in the sand; my child
is wearing the only vibrant colour
to be seen for many kilometres.
The colour matches her
enthusiasm and energy,
as she moves from one spot to the next
like a dancing flame;
reflected, a fire glows from my eyes.

Unknowingly, I had dressed
in the same colours of the sky and sea,
blending into the scenery
like a chameleon:
an illusion thicker than the clouds;
an illusion of stone
for me to melt and reinvent
at the spinning speed of thought.

I watch my daughter
drink the seascape with a smile of wonder;
it's her first time visiting an ocean.
With our pants rolled up to the knee,
we wade through waves,
and collect stones and shells.
She knows the chameleon
who walks alongside her in the frothy surf.

Observing seabirds cover the steep cliffs
of the island located further out,
in a blanket of black and white feathers,
I wonder if people onshore
only see a solitary dash of red out here,
or if the chameleon
is more noticeable than I had thought.

Peace, Love, and God's Greatest Gift

Peace, Love, and God’s Greatest Gift

The mellifluous musical tones of the village bells
Echoing chimes over the cold snowcapped mountains
Both finding their way to people in the valley below

Christmas songs—let your spirit sing freely and loudly
Welcoming the Birth of Our Savior and Baby King
Who so charms the Angels on High and God Himself

On this night, The Star was so beautiful, clear, and shiny
Crisp and so crystal-bright, centered above and beyond
Reflecting now the Lord God’s most divine and holy light

There is real magic in the night air as Heaven rejoices aloud
The child and the infant’s divine soul breathe life now intently
Fulfilling truly God’s very promise and His hope to Mankind

Keep this Christmas spirit—share it with others near and far
Grace filled with good tidings as we dance on wings of joy
We all now celebrate in great happiness, love, and kindness

Christmas is forever—and you must never ever close this door

Destined to become Our Most Holy and Divine Savior—Amen! Amen!

Westward Movement

The ground is damp
it bleeds through my thin cotton skirt.
Crest born, I sit and wait the dawn.
My fingers weave into the high rye grass.
The house below is quiet still.
The children sleep.
The dog’s with me.
We sit high upon the hill.

Peaceful heart, Venus I spy
the morning star, the moon, and dawn,
God could see them in my eyes a tilt.
Barefoot bliss, Champ for a pillow
down I lie and sigh.
The children sleep.
My man’s returned.
Now, we sit high upon the hill.

He lies with me. Grass stains my skirt.
He weaves dewed daisies in my hair.
Crest born we writhe beneath the sky
above our farm on prairie grass.
The house below is quiet still.
The children sleep.
The dog runs home.
We sit high upon the hill.

It's Quiet Now

It is quiet now
-the sun moves up the ridge

Honey crisp scent of freedom
 -hovers and engulfs the air

Pangs of pleasure peal
 -the primrose bows her head

Yellow paints the morning
 -the fields are all aglow

WE ARE BROTHERS II

Don’t look at me
As though I am an alien or a stranger,
Don’t let the dagger of antipathy
Fly out of your eyes.

I am your neighbor.

Don’t call me a foe, an antagonist or a rival,
Don’t roll up your mistrustful sleeves for a fight.

I am your friend.

Don’t hold this murderous weapon in your kind hand,
Don’t deny me the right to work, to eat, or to live.

I am your brother.

If destiny willed me to be born
On this side of the frontier line,
If my parents wished me
To wear these clothes
And taught me their own dances,
Do we have to be adversaries?

If fate desired me to speak
This tongue foreign to you
And our skins’ color to differ,
Do we have to be competitors?

If necessity decided for us
To live in this country,
In the North, South, East, or West,
Do we have to be opponents?

If I believe in Jesus,
Jehovah,
Krishna,
Buddha,
Brahma
Or Allah,
If this is my philosophy,
My tradition,
My history
And my culture,
Do we have to be enemies?

No! A million times: no!

Please, look at me with new eyes
And throw away your injurious prejudices.
What do you see but a person like you
Who wants, desires and hopes for the same things in life:
Well-being,
Happiness,
A home,
Family,
Some friends,
Some love?

Look:
I walk,
I talk,
I eat,
I sleep,
I dream,
I laugh and I cry.

Just like you.

I’m born,
I grow up,
I learn,
I suffer,
I bleed
And I die.

Just like you.

I’m a father,
A mother,
A brother,
A sister,
A son,
And a daughter.

Just like you.

You see: we are alike.
We are the same.
We are brothers.

Listen to me my neighbor, my friend, and my ally:
I am telling you the truth.
We are the victims of schemes,
Well planned in advance
By deceitful evil-hearted men
Who wished for our destruction.

They, masters of savage forgery, dividers of mankind
Have tricked us throughout history
With well-orchestrated lies
And with treacherous stories.
These intellectually impotent criminals
Have instilled poison in your heart and mine.
Thus, by cultivating hatred, bitterness and rage,
They managed to shape us to ruthless foes,
To merciless enemies,
To cruel animals.

Please, listen to me! It is true. We are brothers.

Let us therefore with irresistible will cross all frontier lines
That the past has erected between us,
Thus making divisions vanish.

Let us with supreme power break the bonds of history,
Religion and culture and run into each other’s arms.

Let us uproot from our tormented hearts thorny mistrust
That was planted there thousands of years ago.

Let us seize ammunition from destructive hatred,
And make war capitulate.

Let us sink the cholera of bitterness
In the affectionate sea of universal accord.

And finally,

Let us unite and march to higher claims,
To incomparable glory
Where peace can blossom today.
Thus, both of us will go to sleep at last,
Fearless of each other tonight.

NOTE: This poem, after having been edited, is posted again because
of the acute migration and refugee problem that has been created
in Europe. Greece, my country, receives thousands and even tenths
of thousands of refugees and illegal immigrants each day. In some of
the Greek islands the migrants are more than the Greeks. Some of these
people leave for Europe where in countries like F.Y.R.O.M., Serbia, Hungary
Bulgaria, Austria, Germany, France, Italy have created social and economic problems because of their numbers. This fact prompted me, after the suggestion
of a good friend at PS, to repost the poem so as to ask from all, migrants and natives, understanding and tolerance for the good of peace! Thank you!

Confessions of a Terrorist...

Behind the dark walls of the prison,
Hiding my face from all in my vision,
Abandoned by my bosses, the terror leads,
I wait to be hanged for my misdeeds.

Now I look back to think….

Important member of the Al-Qaeeda,I was,
Given tasty food, and rigorous training by my boss,
I was taught “muslims are harassed round the world,
To help them, grenades and bombs ,I have to hurl.

Arms and ammunitions to me they gave,
To destroy the world, the path they paved.
Rigorous physical training I was given,
On the path of “Jihad’I was driven.

I felt …”me, a class four dropout from school,
To a fidayeen…oh so cool.”
With pots of money l was lured,
A place in paradise..I was assured.

Reading the terror email from the Mujahideen,
I was all charged up and excited to become a fidayeen.
With the ammunitions, I was on my way,
On the path of destruction that they laid.
“Explode bombs, shoot and kill”,
They said “that is what was Allah’s will.”
An obedient student I was in their list,
Little did I realize I was a dangerous terrorist!

As I killed and killed and shed innocent blood,
Suddenly, I was shot and I fell down ..thud!
Interrogations by cops continued endlessly on me,
Confusing the cops,I waited for Al-qaeeda to rescue me.

To my rescue, none from Al Qaeeda came,
Hated worldover a terrorist I became!
No one would come I felt
I was misled! I silently wept.

Jihad would never get me paradise,
Fallen in eyes of Allah, I will never ever rise.
I am unable to bear this and want to die,
And face Allah ? In fear and shame I cry.

I neither can live nor die in peace ,
Forgive me Allah, I cried on my knees.
Old, young, man woman, child I randomly killed,
Was this by Allah, in me instilled?

I repent and feel am cursed by all,to hell I shall go,
What mass destruction on earth have I done? Oh!
I have now to face all those I murdered,
What do I answer them, I ponder.

Spread love and peace is the message of God,
I have now learnt the message of the Lord.
I confess ..”Jihad and terrorism are hated by god,”
I sincerely beg “Forgive me all, forgive me Lord!!”

Kindly note :If anyone wants to comment on my poem, kindly note that I am not a terrorist.
This poem is written by me as a message to all the terrorists in the world that peace and love
is what god wishes. The inspiration is from the recent attacks in Mumbai.

When Jesus Christ was Born

Stars have never told a lie when wise men look unto the sky.
Messages from God on high, of happiness his angels cry,
Soon dawns a blessed morn.
Wise men travel through a land
with stately camels over sand,
Their caravan majestically grand
When Jesus Christ was born.

Shepherds watching over sheep, baby lambs they safely keep.
Some of them were fast asleep on a mountain rough and steep,
Soon dawns a blessed morn.
An Angel to these men appear
Saying they should have no fear
For the Christ child is now near,
When Jesus Christ was born.

To Bethlehem they journey long, Joseph with his love so strong,
Mary with child had done no wrong; the baby did to God belong
Soon dawns a blessed morn.
This baby comes to save from sin
No rooms were found in any Inn
A stables all they found for him
When Jesus Christ was born.

A star shone brightly overhead, lighting up this humble shed,
A lowly manger for his bed, the joyful news had quickly spread
When dawned that blessed morn.
Here wise men came and gifts did bring
Shepherds bowed to their new King
Mankind rejoices while angels sing
When Jesus Christ was born.

The Best Mistake

You made the mistake and now,
your afraid to face this day.

Your thoughts are racing through
and through.

You wonder if your family looks at
you as a disgrace, but you'er mother
takes you and reasures, your very
much loved in grace.

Even though your much to young
for this breathing little thing this
has become.

You couldn't just throw it out
like it was a peice of trash.

So you grow up and take the
path that led you to your best
mistake for years to come.

NOTHING IS MORE POWERFUL THAN LOVE

I am seated in a bed-like rock
Under the foothills this is a single block

The Sun rises behind my back
Though I face hills in the west, its rise I could track

The dawn delightfully unfurl
Mother nature decorates herself, like a girl

The valley is full of greenery
This is a soul soothing summer scenery

Flies are flying in group
With joy and strength, to recoup

Honey bees are busy flying from one to other flower
A fresh flower spreads the fragrance in the air

A group of sparrows fly at a low height
Jubilantly enjoying the new light

A tiniest sparrow dances by jumping from one leaf to the other of a plant
On seeing this, I too wish to jump out of joy, like an infant

Peacocks register their scream from a nearby place
I could hear well, as this area is ruled by peace

From a distant rock, a pair of peacock looks
Displaying the richest colors of their outlooks

Birds potentially program their offspring by singing to their eggs, at a short distance
One may think that they raise the voice with a grievance

Before me, a rabbit runs ruthlessly
Forgetting self, I sit here like lifelessly

Fight of monkeys upon trees on the top of the hill, comes like a melody
Free for all, as the whole range is under His custody

Clouds try to attract my attention with an array of colors
Peace as the Prince on the stage, countless others are actors

Breeze blows as if to say she is the most adorable among all
Of course, choosing the one among all is hard to tell

This is a mind moving morning
In my life, this day is a fine inning

My heart desires to lie under this foothill
But my soul is not full

as my mind yearns for my love
Of course, this place is like a paradise, as above

If I am to cherish my love even in a paradise,
the power of love, you may be pleased to praise

Though I stay away at a far off place
The feelings of romance runs like a race

To live here, to the God, I shall be abundantly faithful
But to conquer my soul, other than such love, nothing is more powerful !

IN SEARCH OF WISDOM'S TRAIL

Among,
The towering mountains of menacing fanaticism and
in the midst of the shadows of constant fear,
Agonizing humanity,
Desperately, is crawling in search of
The trail of understanding,

Praying

That it would lead her onto the valley of God-loving
Peace
Where the peoples of the world, respecting the beliefs of
Others, in harmony would live,
Glorifying God’s wisdom which saved them, from falling
Into the ravines of voracious hate where Man's
Annihilation awaits!

A Rose by any other name ---

Through the hushed whisper of the breeze Flowing through the majestic circling pine trees I sense that I have stepped Into a sacred hallowed space A GARDEN OF ROSES A heady perfume hits the senses Euphoric, Exhilarating, Enticing, Ethereal comes to mind Heaven sighs in a high frequency of vibrations To whisk one away to never before felt heights An Awe descends on me It's as if time itself has frozen A spiritual and mystical alignment Encased In A Timeless Capsule Of Love Reserved for the weary of heart perhaps? Roses from all nations scintillate in complete harmony Where no negative emotion except love Dares Enter ANGELS SING FROM ABOVE And I feel it deep in my pores I see it in the mother who lifts her child to smell a rose I see the artist who strives to capture its beauty In the frail old lady whose carer brings her wheel chair close to the Blooms In the star crossed lovers In the older couple who stare fascinated at the thorns on the stems Perhaps contemplating their past journey That is now in a blissful state of BLOOM And I wonder to myself Since roses from countries around the world Can bloom in complete harmony Why can’t we as humans do the same?
Footnote: Dedicated to my Mum, whose love for roses shone through with her peaceful nature and her love for peace and harmony in the family. 'La Vie en Rose' was one of her favorite songs. MAY ALL NATIONS LIVE IN PEACE This poem Is Not about the 120 varieties of Roses represented by the best species from 120 different nations. This poem Is Not about the beautiful hues from almost black red, to sanguine reds, pinks, orange, yellows, delicate Harlequin tri-colours of shades of red to cream or the unusual roses of blues and even almost indigos. All these pictures you can see on the net if you look up the Ryoseni Temple in Nara Osaka which we visited on our recent trip to Japan. This poem Is Not about the hundreds and thousands of Rose blossoms encircled by a thousand pine trees. This poem Is About the concept behind this Rose garden established in 1957 as a living prayer for Peace and Harmony among all nations, not long after WWII. This poem Is About the tangible positive, peaceful energy that pervades these gardens. A gentle breath of wind is instrumental to the delicate petals scintillating in orchestration and releasing the beautiful fragrance throughout this massive Rose garden. This is a garden that binds Nations together with Roses that are not only an international symbol of Peace, Romance and Love, but it is no coincidence that it is a species with the highest harmonic vibrational energy frequency of 320 mhz. A most beneficial and elevating energy to our well being. (Humans have a frequency of 62 mhz to 68 mhz at full health). Let’s bring back LOVE & HARMONY people - starting right HERE. Its Raining...

                          Its Raining…

God’s Cleansing Tool
Cloud-Concerto… How Cool !
Plop-Plop Plopping into Pothole Pools
On the Grass, Pavements and On My Own-Sweet- Fools…

who, don’t have Sense enough, to get out of the Rain…
… I think I’ll go Join Them… Again

                               Amen

The Voice

He is the voice inside your heart
the one that makes you care
the voice that cries at injustices
when life becomes unfair

He is compassion deep within
that stirs and makes you feel
the hurt and pain and helplessness
of the suffering and grieved

He is your comfort in sadness felt
when you try to understand
the senseless emphasis on things
of insignificance to man

He is the love no one can cloak
the tears of joy you shed
the water that connects the souls
of both the living and the dead

He is the force that shielded you
that kept you safe from falling
the guide that won't leave you alone
until you hear his voice that's calling

The voice that says he's engraved inside
your heart and soul and mind
and he'll bring to you remembrances
if you but want to seek, you'll find

He is the voice you know exists
healing wounds of your life's story
The voice determined that you win
And be partaker of his glory

He is the peace who ends despair
the truth in you for cause to say
"My God! My God! I know you're here
for you shine to light the way

and blood once shed has cleansed my sins
My aged old mind has been set free
Father I do glorify thy name
for grace that reconciles through Christ in me"

And thus it is..the voice of hope
that enables you to stand
His reach is to the very core
His wisdom..the rebirth of the soul of man...

The Day That Died Forever

When I am Colder,Older and then alone...
I will collect the sky on my own...
When the art has faded and the days then fade-
when everyone has gone away...

I may finally see what never was saw
.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhh............... the quiet sky

The unlit room which bares my end...shows the flashes of my pains my joys and sins.
This life has been a strange one since the curtains were drawn
These paper and plastic figures have clouded the dawn

I was once younger, foolish, and obsessed with truth
Now I am bitter, sour, dour faced with my heart under shoe

The children were all searching or lost in a crowd
All weeds in a garden...growing vile and foul

Though beauty was sold it never came true
Obsessions and vanity have traveled safe through

Materials and poison and everything lost
have been burned in the fires or lost in the frost

I stand face to mirror tearing my being apart
Winding thoughts of love,pain,god,and art

As the sun sets and the darkness grows
I too shall follow this pattern in tow

Death has a friendly hand and a pretty face
She has given me comfort as I leave this place

The wars have occurred,humanity's lost
Souls have been burnt in the fire or lost in the frost

Day was Life,Night is Death

And the latter has given counsel on my final steps
