Like Ice --- THE WALTZ

"Black Ice"

Sorrow flows from the first sunrise
Eyes deeper than winter and rainfall
A painful combination never felt before
At core death awaits
   - laughing while she begs for clemency!
In her eyes, fault is found in every sunset
   - after coming down from cloud nine.
Impossible to move --- her body stiffen
That very moment, A precious Waltz - Expired!
Coldplay and winter mist set in
Ruins of love clinch an endless echo
  - taunting the very merry memory.
The auditory sensation of broken trust
   - stride across the way.
Icing every thought in a sullen, cold rink.
She fell - She crumbled
  - In a world where hope once existed

Today, she will sway alone without a lullaby
In a room with no warmth
One time a sweet symphony, now a sour moon
At last, a different tune begins to fiddle
As she grooms the icicles in her room.
On every mid-moon, she stares and stares
towards the old shriveled lipstick on his pillow
Unseen coldness, unsatisfied, incomplete tears
She can feel the complete braille of hate
--- cascade around the emptiness

Throughout her poise frostbite travels in
Midnight Summer dreams are near an end
Autumn bones covered by winter sleet
A deadly force condemns all because of one

Lost years crumbled like an avalanche
Way deep down inside.......
She paints the rain like no other heartache
Leaving winter residue behind every step
"Black Ice" sits close to the cold canvas on her pale

If you seek closely, she is there
Immobilized in a waltz, in a waltz, in a waltz

Never to linger or trust
The "HE" that spoke of love, then melted away

Never Stop Dancing

I am the diamond
     that breathes
     in your hands;
The fine lace to sway in
     breezes through windows
     as I crumble dedans la pirouette;
The cyclone, the earthquake,
     implosion of power
     in your arms.

          Spin me a room,
          Weave me a rainbow,
          Pull me to you and
          push me away.
          Burn me, absorb me.

I tumble, trip, fall,
     to be lifted by you,
     elevated, levitated;
Finest rags, softest fringe,
     ripple around
     last evening light;
Raise me slowly
     on tiptoes;
Rescue me, scream my name
     loud.

          Spin me your laughter,
          Catch me, don't drop me,
          Pull me to you,
          never push me away.
          Dance, don't stop.

Never stop.

In Purple Fields We Dance

Stay a little longer come closer to my heart Breathe dew breeze on my neck's nape do not yet depart Play for me bagpipe music Blindfold all my starving fears Let the dulcet tones of your voice give us back those harvest years Make of the citrus moon a ballroom Hold me firmly from both hands Lift me high to touch the star-sky Show me how young peasants dance Let my soothing fingers trail across your caloused sun -soaked skin In purple fields Come chase me in that place our souls have been Take me away with you where this world is out of sight Where unspoken thoughts and heartbeats are enough to blaze the night.

In This Elegant World

Waltzing, I’m waltzing around and around with a one-two-three, one-two-three, to the sweet sound of the orchestra playing. I’m one lucky girl, for I’m with someone special who knows how to twirl me so masterfully, and the ladies so fair wearing gowns and with ribbons tied up in their hair move among us like swans, each a belle of this ball. Now we glide past the lights that adorn a long wall, and I hold up my skirt from the smooth shiny floor as I smile up with joy at the face I adore. For this gent, my pure love I am waiting to give. In this elegant world, it’s romance that we live! With a one-two-three, one-two-three, always I’ll be in the arms of this beautiful man leading me. For Ballroom Delights Contest

If We Could Dance

Strumming my heartstrings Drawing me in with each note Playing the most beautiful song Hearing the words you wrote Filling in all the gaps The melody is for me Beating loud and clear Setting my heart free Only distance keeping us at bay You still have me in your trance Two hearts apart, beating as one How I wish we could dance A soft kiss upon your delicate hand Holding you close, holding you tight Slow dancing under the moonlit skies The perfect girl, the perfect night

Existence

awkwardly I dance
because I have two left feet
hard to find partner

I watch you dancing
it seems you have two right feet
let us share some shoes

will you follow me
for if we move together
dance will have purpose

you move fluidly
my feet provide the structure
made for each other

no limitations
with artistry and purpose
we dance with the stars

life is not boring
we live within the rhythm
music from heaven

God is our maestro
leading us to forever
in death we won't part

The Dance Of The Horizon

The Dance Of The Horizon Cascading thoughts of lovers’ ways Echo home fulfilling days. The absence of the only one, My stars, my moon, my shining sun. Reflections fade into obscurity, Now nobody’s around to see. Upon the horizon, colour ensues, In moonlight’s dance, those blended hues. Oh midnight sparkle, return to me, And know when eyes are lost at sea: Look for the dance of the horizon, Conducted by maestro Poseidon. That’s where my thoughts of you now lie No matter the ships that pass on by. For there’s none so grand that can compare To your love I feel when you’re not there. 1st January 2016

cherry blossoms

atop worn weathered concrete
pink petals gaily gather
entice lovers strolling
fingers touch mittens vanish.

blushing halo canopy
highlights cool rosy cheeks
tiny buds whisper passion
newly awakened long sleep.

sky gleams dreamy hues
turquoise shyly taunting
button noses cold rub
lips plump part wanting.

kiss two hearts waltz
more kisses sweetest tune
cherry blossoms dance
sprinkle magic love blooms.

Love's Dance

Dance the tortuous path of love with me,
explore nuances of the different roads,
some snake upwards towards lofty thrills
others zigzagging downwards in despair.
Together though we can construe
a life exhilarating and true
as we wander together in wondrous ways
enjoy the beauty of a laudable life,
build a base to face the storms of love,
and like a sparkling mountain stream
face all the currents that cross our life.
Let us find comfort in each other's arms,
when grief crosses our meandering paths,
for the stream winds and turns
and a new page of life pleasantly begins
Let us laugh together at our mistakes
for in laughter we find strength
and ostracize despair from our love.

Still In Love

Still in love,
with his eyes, he asks
(as the moon asks the earth)
for a dance, spinning
to music only we can hear.
Two become one in song,
as in the infancy of marriage -
newlyweds who danced, all for love.

With his eyes, he asks
(as the river asks the grass)
for a hand to hold, swaying
side-by-side over ages
of profuse weeds thick with lace,
and the sunflowers nearby droop
late in season, heavy with seed.
Before first snow, it is time
to teach our children to dance.
Love, we have learned, will carry on.

Still in love,
with my heart, I reply
(as the cherry blossoms answer the wind)
in a twirl of my floral skirt, growing
young again with a twinkle of hazel
skies shone bright in my eyes
and in a familiar smile.
He feels my warmth without seeing my face,
our union completed without words.

And so, we dance
from wedding day kiss and
one day, into bliss of heavenly light
(as the universe dances, eternally).
I write him a poem to thank him
for creating music with his love,
only our feet recognize.
Still joined in life, souls flow
through green, through our limbs,
down into our roots -
a dance to last through sun and storm,
feet in time forevermore,
all because he asked,
and still, I love him.

We Danced Through Life

We danced amongst the stars that night
when joy had fallen far from sight

We danced under the sun so bright
And when all seemed lost, we held on tight

We danced to the music of hummingbirds
And we danced in the silence when there were no words.

We danced in the shadows of fear and doubt
And we danced when we questioned what life’s about

We danced amongst the evergreens
That posed for painters winter scenes.

We danced in the winters bitter chill
And when we danced our world stood still.

For that’s what love was meant to be
To find the dance when we cannot see.

To write a new song when the music stops
With lyrics that caress every tear that drops.

For when the rhythm changes and tempo slowed
We’re called to dance with the seeds we sowed.

For life is hard, there is no doubt
But Dancing through it, is what life’s about.

Love Gently Rocked

We sit, relaxed, at closing of the day,
you turn, a record on to softly play,
then place, fresh logs making our fire enhance,
and gently bow asking me for this dance.

The song, we’ve loved since we were very young,
so often danced with, and so often sung.
You sing, so sweetly in my longing ear,
and with, strong arms drawing me oh so near.

I place, my head upon your shoulder,
you spin, us around our humble room,
we laugh, just as when we were younger,
you stop, to kiss me; then we resume.

Such special times like this I feel my heart,
could never last if we should ever part.
Then shed, a tear by thoughts of losing you,
cause you’re, my one and only love so true.

Music stops; we stay together,
in loves embrace, we melt as one.
With fireplace, still gently burning,
our fire has only, just begun.

Ancient Dance

In twilight, old songs you're softly humming.
Silken smiles enliven your lovely face,
beguiling my presence still, becoming
in all your ways, sweet gift of heaven's grace.

Deep your eyes, beheld above the stillness
of mystic mien, dismissing every voice.
Caresses known in sadness and in illness,
a bounty cherished, if you make the choice.

Alluringly, you draw the bedroom curtain
and sing in softest voice of violins.
Of languid looks and outcome certain,
as old as Eve, the ancient dance begins.

Sway, your heated honey scent of passion
and poise, anticipating kiss conceived,
shall return my longing, in your fashion
and make my life ten times a joy perceived.

My love grows great to see your form advance
and weave with siren song the ancient dance.

My First Ball

As I walk through the doors of the hall,
I am swept off my feet by such flare.
When I think that tonight’s my first ball,
How I blush thinking thoughts I don’t dare.

Lovely music pours out of the room,
And my hips sway beneath my pink gown.
Mom’s eyes seek a potential bridegroom
Dad’s eyes stop, my swaying with a frown.

Ushered in the big room my eyes dance
As they rush over grandeur so bright
Chandeliers they brought over from France
Fill the room bringing splendour and light

On the sidelines I can’t help but stare
Pretty walls lined with roses and vines
Sweetest scents of Guerlains fills the air
As the ladies and gents sip their wines.

Fine madam’s gowns blend in with the walls
And the heavenly ceiling divine
Pastel angels and blue waterfalls
Someone begs me to dance just in time.

As we twirl on the dance floor I’m charmed
Looking into his eyes, I turn red
And I’m weak in this young man’s strong arms
Looking up angels spin round my head.

All too soon my first ball has to end
Sweetest dreams I shall cherish tonight
When I think of my newly found friend
Just the thought of him brings such delight

Goodbye, My Child

Where cradled canyons sing
Of ebony wood in the forest
There lies a gurgling spring
Where cockcrows sing their chorus
To the melody of singsong birds
There I’ve concealed my sensuous words
Filled with befitted signs
The saccharine whiff of my designs

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Where the fogs of night are fountains
Spills of glistened moon ignite
By distant silhouette mountains
We dance with passion of fight
Entwining ancient stance
Mingling hand in hand we dance
Till the mountains smile on high
Near and far we spring
To pursue the realest of dreams
While the world cries at its seams
Anxious in trouble to cling

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

To where the ridges merry make
From the beaks of wooden bright
In sparkly pools the ghouls awake
That scarce to stir our night
We watch for seekers down under
Muttering secrets in their soul
We bid them lucks of shivers
Dipping gently in
From reeds that hide a tear of a foal
Under the gentle rivers

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Far away she shall ever churn
The taciturn eyed
She’ll listen no more to turn
To the working mills beside
Or the scrubbing of the barn
May peace weave in her song
She shall wave in the yarn
To a haven known as Belong

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

For she comes, the mortal youth
To the wild realm of her truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only her tears be found

Magic Words The Libertine Called Passion

The libertine flails his torches
Burning staffs in his hands aglow
Golden sparks from the kindle beseech you
To dance on flames that he throws
For he is a man they call Passion
No soul has escaped what he's sowed

Good bye to innocence
Only embers are left where he's roamed
Good bye to innocence
We all dance on the coals he calls love.

He is the thief we call Ardor
He spins plumes of turquoise and gold
Challengers fall, all are smitten
By warm sultry nights and moon glow
Behind his mask love is yearning
To break free of seductions steel glove

Good bye to innocence
His restraints bind us coarsely entombed
Good bye to innocence
We will dance on the ruins he calls love .

Unexpected events

My watch is broken, I can not wait for you to get here
The sun is heating,(I cannot believe) today, we're finally meeting.
I'm not quite sure how I'm gonna act or what I'm gonna say
But of one thing I'm sure, when you'll be in front of me, you'll take my breath away.

While I'm waiting, my mind is flying away
From the moment you'll get here, to the first move you'll make.
I just wish, this day to be perfect
I hope I'm ready for any unexpected events.

It's getting late and you're nowhere to be found
I'm getting all kinds of emotions, but is nothing I can do about..
The park is empty, looks like the rain is gonna arrive
I guess I should be going too, nothing makes me stay around.

Maybe you got stuck in traffic or you've just changed your mind,
Either way, I better go now, maybe we'll get to meet some other time..
And now my battery is dying, I have such a lucky day,
I don't think this day could get any better,
           >>no 'eff!n' way!!<<

Where should I go now? to the hotel or to a pub?
I'll get me something to drink before Imma call it a nite.
I don't find my card key, guess I'm losing my mind..
Huh?!
Who the 'eff' are you 'my friend'?
Why do you have to honk so loud?

    you: Hey!!!
    me: Gosh, you scared me!
you: Where are you going? don't we have a date?
me: Hey, you're the one that got here late.
you: Yeah, I'm sorry. look, I've been running all the way...
me: Cool. I'm glad you came.
I'm starving. where you gonna take me?
you: well, since our picnic is ruined, thanks to the coming rain..
lemme take you to my favorite restaurant..
    me: sounds great. OK.

While in the car, you've turned on the radio
And the silliest song was playing in the air
Smiling, you looked at me and started dancing
Gosh, you're amazing. (that's what I said)

We've got to the restaurant
It's getting pretty hot
No sign of the rain now
Guess she just changed her mind.

When I stepped inside
My favorite song was playing .. so loud
And once you've heard it, you took my hand in yours and smiled
you: Hey, this is our song since now!!

Since then I got this feeling, this awesome feeling inside
I'm with the right person and the nite has just begun
You're full of surprises, beautiful and kind
For me you are so special, I'll roll my dice tonight.

Next thing I know, we were back in the car
The music was playing loud, you were driving too far
The last stop we've made, was at the hotel I'm staying
You grabbed me in your arms and .. and then's when it started ... raining.

The weather gets colder, your hand is on my shoulder,
I ask you if you want to come and wait inside.
The fireplace is on, your clothes are on the stove
I bring you comfy clothes, while you're in the shower.

The rain is falling from the sky, the night is deep, looks black and white
I pour you a glass of wine while getting closer.
The electricity goes off, all of a sudden
We're in the dark, the music stops - I lit (up) a candle.

Looks like the rain has stopped now (or for the moment)
I pour you another glass of wine..
I touch your hand, you're grabbing mine
And pull me closer.

The last thing I remember, you were playing through my hair
I felt your (warm) breath down on my neck and I've kissed your shoulder
Slowly, you laid me down, on the floor, whispering something in my ear
Your fingers were walking down my spine, I've closed my eyes.. that's when we've kissed.

We've spent the night together, sleeping in each other arms
I was your blanket, you were my pillow - the dawn was coming fast.
I woke up and.. watching you sleeping
You found me smiling when you've opened your eyes.

Things went so fast - time was flying by
Only four days, until we say goodbye.
All the sand from the beach, the pictures framed in our minds
The scrambled eggs in the mornings, (all those) kisses (stolen) through the night.

While I'm counting the seconds, my mind is flying away
From the moment we've met, to the last thing you'll say.
I just wish, this day to last forever
I hope our story will never have an end.

In the airport, while waiting for our planes to come
Our silly love song was playing one more time
And once again, you took my hand in yours and smiled
That's when you've asked me, if I want to be ... your wife.

FASCINATION

It was him, and immediately I felt the very moment he too, saw me as I entered the room. I averted my eyes, seemingly not magnetized, yet his form continued to caress the corner of my eyes. My entire body was so attuned to his every movement, I sighed. Suffused with such warmth was I, knowing he was looking at me…alone. I tried to turn away, but felt the searing heat where his eyes touched my skin. I realized I was hypnotized, mesmerized by the power of intense attraction. Minutes passed by, I would catch again his eyes, staring, brooding. Overwhelmed by his presence, I felt such effervescence. Senses wired to all that was him, I was exulted to know that his eyes were as glued to me as mine were to him. Nobody, no one else. Him and only him. He moved, the second I floated to him. I stopped, time to catch my breath. Him whose strides came quickly to my side. Such panther’s grace, eyes holding my stare, he smiled. The wineglass in my hand trembled, serene not I, far from calm. Suffused with much warmth was I, knowing he was looking at me…alone. I turned away, and felt the searing heat where his eyes just touched my skin. Hand on my elbow, he silently led me to where the crowds were, to dance . Such arrogance, I thought I’ve had enough as a child, of dominance. Yet I, surprised, felt the rush of liquid fire through my veins with his large hand, warm and steady on my bare back. Alive were all nerve ending, as we went dancing through the night, I heard the loud sound of the wild beating of my heart. Suddenly…I was jarred, and from a dream, woke up I.

The Sunflower Rises

Conquering new territories climbing up the stairway
new beginnings hanging on the edge of a dream
an empire arises from dark ashes flash petals catch one gem

Through honeycombed dewdrops softly spinning clear
golden the sparkle upon your tabernacle silken touch
vision of deep beauty shines immaculate heart

Beholding rose gold sparkles
sugar coating light dazzling before the eyes
crystal sparks ignite rainbow gleams

Through a mist of tears travelling one picture
everything shrinks in your shadow perfect
sunbeams warmly come alive

Touching clouds dancing with teardrops
falling over an angel salted from the ocean
seagulls lament faraway distant overseas calls

Moon Dance

Once upon a time so brightly
I had this compulsion to dance
Just holding you oh so tightly;
In thoughts of romantic perchance
Realistic dreams of nuance.
Your silver beam of love the lure
Bathed in splendour ever so pure
In breath upon the breeze clement;
Held here within your light the cure
I thank the lord for this moment.

Dance To Love - Part 1

She danced with wild abandon she danced without a care With sun kissed skin, her arms flung wide Wild flowers in her hair I chanced upon this secret glade while walking early morn A sacred aura surrounded it a jewel in the dawn A type of place where angels dwell A place of Hopes and Dreams A magic place of lush green plants And sparkling bubbly streams I drew back lest she saw me, I dared not break the spell The Autumn leaves swirled round her and to the ground they fell Like homage to a Goddess, that she must surely be For Gods to but gaze on not mortals such as me She twirled around so fast I could barely see her feet And even though I stood afar I knew she gave off heat Then her tempo slowed right down the air became quite chill The Elements were but her slaves, she ordered them at will I could have watched forever so mesmerized was I What would I give to dance with you I murmured with a sigh To dance with wild abandon with this Angel from above A hundred birds would sing out loud to watch us Dance To Love This story continues in my Poem arrangement 'The Sequel - Dance to Love - Part 2'

Shall we Dance---Everlasting dance together

As he came...
Bent down towards me
He took me by the hand...
Led me out to the dance floor..
As the music played...
he held me close
his heart beating next to mine
warmth surounded us...
soft... melodies played
I said... I am scared
For I never done this before...
He said.. no worrys..
I am here... my dear
then he whispered into my ear
Singing melodies of lyrics of song
As the music played
We swayed to the music
as held me close unto him...
his strong arms held me tight
dancing on through the night..
gentle as he... guided me
across the dance floor...
Sweeetness music played
More Beautiful then ever before...
Precious moments...

Then I woke up...
Twas just a dream
of many dreams..
But then again
was it???

Tis be soon...
As time shall be...
When moment comes
I shall dance the dance..
as He guides me
Across the sky
Then between the stars...
To the other side..
Beyond... Glorious Love Eternity..
Sweeet Divine Precious moments..
Shall forever be...
Music Plays.. Melodies unto our King
Harmony of all souls
Whom belong to Him
Come... to Jesus
Lets Dance the Dance of Glorious Love Together...
Sweeetness of the Souls..

The Sequel - Dance to Love - Part 2

I awake to the beautiful plaintive strains Of a violin - then realize it’s just in my head Just a dream - a shame to find I’m in the hospital - same room - same bed The monotonous ticking of the clock on the wall Time, an indefinite progress of my existence Time for my pills, time to call the nurse Time not on my side, breaking down my resistance After lunch a quick nap Then the visiting hour I dread most of all Seeing pity in their eyes, they wish me back To what I was before my withdrawal The world of music - my life - my love The fame and fortune that once was mine Exhilarating - Intoxicating, a wife at my side With children sharing the Glory Divine I lived it - I breathed it Plucked at its very soul The core of its existence in my hands Like a faithful servant it played its role I look at the painting on the wall A feeling of Déjà vu enters it seems I’ve seen this glade of lush green plants And these sparkling bubbling streams I remember drawing back watching afar An Angel who danced in its midst Who danced with wild abandon Her hair that the sun had kissed I remember wishing I could dance with her With this Angel from above A hundred birds would sing out loud To watch us Dance to Love But it’s just a painting - There’s no girl there And I’m just a sick old man Wallowing in my grief and sadness Existing however best I can What’s this I’m suddenly in the glade? A young strong man once more She has come for me, my Angel love I leap - I twirl - I soar The world I’ve left behind Unshackled my attachments of A hundred birds do sing out loud To watch us Dance to Love We dance with wild abandon We dance without a care With sun kissed skin our arms entwined Wild flowers in our hair
Footnote: We do not know for sure if my Father – who was a great violinist and classical musician, had imagined this story when he was a young man, when he chanced on a young girl dancing in the glade. It’s a story he told us many times and we loved to believe it. I like to imagine a fitting finale to the first story, when his time came and have pictured it in this poem. This story begins in my Poem arrangement 'Dance to Love - Part 1'

As We Dance

In the sky less stars tonight But who needs shards of light when the sparkle in your heart ignites fire in the alley of my mind. I close my eyes, just to feel me swinging in your arms I trust to fall knowing you will hug me tightly as we dance Under a sky void of light, my sweet Psyche, my soul I keep your world upright. The darkness now bright, truth streaming from deep behind those wonton eyes. My heart has been ignited by the comfort of your mind as we dance

A Night Dance

Let us share our night in blood dreams
where secrets of the moon prowl victims
Blood red are the visions that we see howling
preys on innocent love bleeds

Bodies join within a primal passion
source of the last breath escaping clouds
A night dance we share in harmony
underneath the cloak of darkness

Let the velvet night enter your whispered silence
born from the womb of creation
Enfold us in the breath of a sigh
falling into spiral caught within one bite

Love is the dance of angels in the heart of night
holding on to the shadows of yesterdays
We are ever the Demons in the night
kissed under a blanket of stars held hostage

They call me the queen of velvet dark
creeping bats enslave a caged beast
A Vampire heart does hold me to the night
seduced by the midnight music

Shadows dancing on a wall
living mosaic moving
empty matter comes alive
rising from out of ashes

Flickering by candles flame
sharing the warm tenderness held
within a wisp of smoke a moment in eternity
where silver gates open one treasured chest

Blood hearts soaring in a night dance
drunken beams moonshine smiles on the damned
Drowning sorrows die
upon a crimson tide of a lover's heartbeat

My Dancing Queen

My old bones sway to the old tune
bringing back memories long forgotten.
My spirit rejoices in exultation
of a ne'er forgotten loving excitation .
For you are my Dancing Queen.....
Oh how lovely the Abba sang....
How wondrously sensual the melody flowed.....

There you stood like a wallflower,
indifferent, lukewarm, nonchalant;
seemingly thinking on other things.
You drove me mad, my dancing queen,
you taunted me perilously, wretchedly.
How could I ever bear the teasing looks
you guardedly gave me, my lovely nymph.

I was dancing with some insipid teen,
definitely not having the time of my life;
my loving eyes piercing your sensuous curves
like Eros arrows hitting at random and at will.
Yet you looked on as if I was not there.
The music grew to a raw crescendo....
For you were my dancing queen
and suddenly I was madly in love with you.

I twirled, spun and tripped over you.
The music stopped, dancers gazed at me
a heartfelt pang as I lay sprawled at your feet.
A racking malaise stabbed my whole being
until I felt your strong hands help me up
steadying me, and leading me to a chair.
And you were only nineteen!!!
The music begun again, the old familiar strains
How nimble you could dance,
Oh how I yearn for that sweet moment
For you were my dancing queen......
You danced away while I stayed put
as my foot swelled with excruciating pain.
The euphoric dance came to a halt.

The lights went low.
You helped me to your waiting car.
I leant back, tired and abject
Until I felt your lips on mine;
the heavenly music began again...
yes, yes you are my dancing queen,
you will always be my dancing queen.

Last Dance

Strobe lights loud music
silver glitter balls
reflective tiny stars
dot the dance floor hall.

She was grinding and pumping
body toned tight and fast
she was the centre of attention
her choice her last dance.

She expertly glided
up and down the polished pole
her red satin outfit
simply amplified the show.

As she flawlessly moved
to the chants of the men
drawing into herself
shone a dazzling grin.

Becoming one with the pole
giving it her very all
this was her last song
head high standing tall.

As she smiled and waved
searching deep within her core
for this one final bow
were loud whistles and roars.

She quickly grabbed her outfit
running to the door backstage
in the comfort of her robe
kissed a picture daughter Paige.

I did this for you
my sweet baby girl
for college bound you are
with the money I have earned.

The men cheered loudly
she reached her last goal
 turning from the mirror
freely flew her soul.

Precious Moon

Yonder light of moon-kissed rays
on blessed breeze you lie
under cover of the milky way
reach out to every cusp of sky

Moon my precious moon
open your wings
open your gilded wings
now and evermore

Shine your sultry soul
here into mine
into the loneliness of dusk
near thee enter upon me
endless glows of your
sacred smile

Fly high moon my precious moon
over my wayward path
reigning me home

Mysterious lady let this butterfly dance
effortlessly in the glint of your romance

Sky Dancing

Looked out my window,
and saw a wondrous sight
Two cardinals in flight,
aerial dancing
Perfect mid-air pirouettes,
spiraling higher and higher
Two winged bodies in motion as one
They reminded me of you and I,
my love,
when we danced on the clouds,
among the stars that night
We fell in love that night,
sky dancing with you was sheer delight
We felt light as a feather,
floating above the trees
Our eyes gazing into each other eyes,
falling in love, rising higher
on a summer breeze through the skies
We danced so close together
until the morning sunrise
Night turning into day,
as we danced the night away
I never wanted to come down that night,
wishing with all my might
we could dance in the air again
Today, I looked out my window,
and saw a beautiful sight ...
two love birds sky dancing
in the sunlight

Dance with me

Dance with me Dance with me, neath full moon glow, so bright these evening skies Whisper soft, so I may know, your dreams in breathless sighs Kiss me warn, with lips so fine, to melt in their embrace Take me now, as stars do shine, desires found to trace Lie with me, ‘pon glistened sand, my heavenly desire Caress me soft, with satin skin, ignite this passion’s fire Say to me, you love me so, your voice as angels sing Keep me safe, these moments slow, wrapped tight in velvet wing Walk with me, while echoes call, along this windswept shore Hold me close, so I may fall, in love with you once more Gaze on me, reflections flow, enchanted chestnut eyes Dance with me, neath full moon glow, so bright these evening skies Good night Soupers
