Zero To Sixty
So, young grasshopper,
you wanna know the secret
of obtaining the golden age given me
To spread your wings,
and take a long leap look-see
Honor your parents:
It’s the essential seed thing you must do,
to get the flower gift of long life
This is first promise God offered to you
As a child ...
internalize this in your heart
Get your life weaned with a righteous start
Then you must be wise as a serpent
and harmless as a dove
Know the tempting ways of the world,
and avoid the evils thereof
Jesus Christ, the King of Love,
gave us this
heavenly message from above
As for blessed me,
God took my redeemed soul
from zero to sixty
Graced me to take an elongated breathe,
put me on a fast track to eternity
So, to sum it up, young grasshopper,
very quickly —
Repentance is the key
All the bad things you’ll do in life,
it comes with a heavy death price
But, there is a Holy One
who made the ultimate sacrifice
For our sins, Christ laid down His life
He took the nails of the cross,
and the accompanying pain ...
Put upon His pure body all our sin suffering
Ask the Son of God for forgiveness
for anything you’ve done wrong
And His mercy will allow you to live long
He spent three days in the grave
to write this beautiful Resurrection song
So, let your wings sing
of this secret, young grasshopper
To others who inquire, pass this gospel on
