Youth, Age and Time

Youth, Age & Time Written: by Tom Wright Thoughts for 10-26-2017 When young, my time appeared to freeze, And the clock hands traveled like a slug. I never saw the forest for all the trees, And I couldn’t escape some hole I’d dug. But now with age, I sit, second guessing, Mentally surveying the missteps I’ve taken. The drudgery of age has made life stressing, Things I can no longer do leave me shaken. With age, time rapidly rushes past my hands, And I spend occasional time looking back. Little time remains for long distant plans, It’s all reserved for the next health attack.
