A long ago dream whispers Into the shadows of my thoughts Leaving a trail of stardust wonders Filling my mind up with hope Light, like laughter, teases Tempts me to remember Those breathless fantasies Pieces of a puzzle within me Where I need only listen To the still, small voice Of His will for me – is it you? Are you His will, my love? Like the shimmering moon Falling soft on the oak Leaving a trail of ambition Across the evening Reflecting the glorious Wisdom so reassuring Like the inspiration found in A twinkling star or a smile Lifted to assure the heart Of affection, warmth, compassion Small gestures of faith Erasing the darkness Penetrating with grace Promises of enlightenment Soothing away mists of melancholy Blending into the morning On wings of animated courage Acts of kindness fade Into the wind’s melodic caress Murmuring boldly, joy Healing the dread, the loss With a new leaf turned over On the ancient thoughts Blazing a trail of victory dancing Through the soul who knows Love abides and where it goes There is a passion, a thirst For pools of still waters Running over the naked moments Mystery grasping fate By the echoes of a past Who is now only a lingering sign That there was ever anything More than these urgent prayers For a dream believed Gathered on the softest silence And bathed in hues warmed By adoration that lasts Through the darkness Moving dawn to awaken us To a dream who lives On the breath of eternity A rare and gifted treasure Shining through the sky Falling like rain and moving Smoothly, like clouds floating Across a rich, vibrant blue Alive with the news that, yes, Dreams really do come true! I found this to be true When I found myself with you!
