'yearning For Peace'

Warm thoughts ripple they take you to that place Where you use to smile Where u could paint the night sky Where the paintbrush Glide without hesitation You don't think You just feel What it felt like to let go Where the ticking of a clock Meant life - not to worry about death Life has moved so far away from that We are caught up in fear Caught up in heartache Pain and judgment Life has become a continuous battle A constant what if It was never intended this way We had to live freely We didn't have to fear our brothers Or fear the abuse of our sisters The throw of a dice Or maybe a wrong path Has brought us here Where the ill-informed and malicious Take away our peace Where a gunshot feels like the norm Where will this end? When will our homes become our freedom again?

Wilma, this one makes me wonder how things are going in your country right now. Is there unrest? Peace is such a beautiful but fragile thing today!

Beautiful thoughts and important questions asked, Wilma...we can only trust in God and try to spread the peace we hope to see in others. Sending you a big hug, Rhonda
