Winter Puddles
WINTER PUDDLES
Heck; all these winter puddles that, I so need to miss
I am wearing waist high waders; to avoid the wet risk
As those puddles are so very deceptive in their depth
Worse; as some really have you coming up for breath
Road works; are in deliberation as to what is a puddle
With ducks swimming past, they are in a right muddle
Plumb lines in hands, they are all measuring the depth
At 40mm it is a pot hole, but others would not accept
All Puddles that go above and, beyond your waist line
Should have their own lifebuoy &, a darn warning sign
So should you see someone waist up high in a puddle
Waving like mad; "cause they are waist high in trouble
Do not just jump in there; make sure you have a plan
As you just might end up in more trouble, than began
