Winds of Change
The first breeze of love is fragrant and sweet
When the soul's blooms open like a red rose
And pulls you towards the fresh petals complete
To give you poems, your heart will compose
The nights become a sensual bouquet
And days turn with memories of the night
Then the passage of time sometimes turns gray
When winds of love change and the heart takes flight
This wind becomes stronger, distant, and cold
To roll across a desolate landscape
And leave a love cloudy, dusty, and old
Trapped in the shadows trying to escape
Love can litter hearts with reasons to flee
Winds of change will blow away the debris
