Winding Road

Up and down around the bend This odd winding road finds me My curious eyes dart to see Rows and rows of hamlets here There is a certain fragrance A flair in the air attests Dusk by the winding road feels A heavy melancholy Yet who am I to say more For a jealous certainty? The winding road takes me far As my eyes spy lights ahead A city dweller feels lost In this strange vicinity Time here will be sweet and short Yes as far as I can see Leon Enriquez 17 May 2018 Hamlet Place, ACT
