Winding Road
Up and down around the bend
This odd winding road finds me
My curious eyes dart to see
Rows and rows of hamlets here
There is a certain fragrance
A flair in the air attests
Dusk by the winding road feels
A heavy melancholy
Yet who am I to say more
For a jealous certainty?
The winding road takes me far
As my eyes spy lights ahead
A city dweller feels lost
In this strange vicinity
Time here will be sweet and short
Yes as far as I can see
