Will They Remember

Will they remember the times I spent in the car waiting Or the days I spent on park benches watching Keeping them safe? Will they remember the shrieking, angry, Mean, savage times I turned into a mommy monster Yelling out of frustration? Will they remember the days we spent at the mall Looking at everything in every store, or will they Remember me dragging them out as they were screaming? Will they remember that I was kind and soft hearted And wanted the best for them or will they remember The time I ran over the chipmunk? I cannot spend time worrying. I did my best.

Thank you Jennifer. My oldest daughter calls me "Mary Poppins" and I think that is the best compliment. One of my teachers gave me a little orphan Annie plate once with all the other orphans sitting around her. I asked why and she said "Because you love all who are unloved."

I imagine some day one of my children might read one of my poems. I hope it is this one.

Thank you Nash. This was just me thinking aloud; total introspection.
