Will I Recognize the Real Me

dreams filter in
barely landing in my consciousness
a part of me I am not fully aware of,

one maybe forgotten for the last few incarnations
takes the helm full-throttle,
forcing me to take another
look at myself,

 so I will recognize
the real me when the time comes.

Just the wondering speaks to who you are. Some people are so sure of who they are that they don't think that they need to look anymore. Eh. :) Wrong answer. :) <3

Lovely to know that you will recognize you - there is only one Caren and she writes amazing poetry! Hugs, Jennifer.

The mirror lies often in the morning. It is by the end of the day, I see the real me. Hugs, my friend. I loved your writing. Ann

I have a lot of facets, and they are not always in touch with each other. Thanks Ann.

Have I mentioned the Johari window? Your poem makes me think of it! “Getting to know yoooo....getting to know all about yoooo....getting to like you....getting to hope you like me” (by Julie Andrews)
