Whole Life She Gave
Whole Life She Gave
If someone were ever to find a fortune
Wish they would give us a fair portion;
First thing like to do is buy a nightingale
Then around world always wanted to sail.
Would put present in stocking of each child
Many times causing them to have smiled
Picture with true colors of my pretty wife
Showing her how she is the love of my life.
Don't want to be thoughtless with many thrills
We would just go ahead and pay off our bills
For nice cats, buy food, an unlimited supply
And hope forever that they never did die.
All the days of my long life have progressed
With my wife have become totally obsessed
Willed money to church for them to support
And offer comfort when her feelings are hurt.
So soon I died and was in heaven above
With son Jamie, Mom and Dad who always love
And please God, a special place be sure to save
For wife who, to me, her whole life she gave.
