Who Is Your Neighbor

Recently a brand new neighbor moved next door Sad ‘cause we wouldn’t see the old one anymore But I baked cookies and on his door gave a knock What happened next sure gave my heart a shock He was wearing a big mask, the Halloween kind I must admit he nearly scared me out of my mind He pulled off that hideous thing and gave me a smile Then invited me in and we laughed and talked awhile Turns out he brought laughter and joy to our street One of the funniest men it’s been our pleasure to meet 9/12/15

A man with a great sense of humor...I love it! Laughter is the best medicine. Carol Burnett just helped me get well laying in bed for two weeks. I am so happy her show is back on the air. I enjoyed your poem Barbara and hope this finds you well!
