Snowflakes whisper
Through silent night
Coloring the vista
With delicate slivers
Of frosty glitter
Drifting dreamily
On the heart
Where wishes
Penetrate me
With hope
And faith
That they will
Materialize
Coming true
To brighten
The life who
Wished so brightly
On the flurries
Who bring visions
Breathless brilliance
Wisdom and feeling
Snowflakes falling
Against the earth
Calling to heaven
Their joyful home
Where they’ve lived
Since being given
A life of motionless
Genius, breaking through
The heart and soul
With tender hope
And imagination
Gladness to fill you
With inspiration
A life alive, dancing
On feathery thoughts
Filled with joy
Brought to life
On the very hearts
Who know
This life is blessed
By winter wishes
Falling across the mind
Like sunshine at dawn
Or leaves in the fall
Rustling with faith
Singing grace
And praising the Creator
Who made a way
To pierce our lives
With delicate delights
Who blend with love
And sing passion from above
These whimsical wonders
Drift through my life
Purifying with promises
Of replenishment
From the One who gave to us
A new light, a new white, a new sight
A new right… saving to the uttermost
With His heavenly incite, His invite
To become a child of the King of Kings
The reason for my Winter wishes
And the answer to my prayers
For a beautiful that caresses the senses
Brings light to the spirit and shines down
Love through the miracle of His holy gift
Without a doubt
Jesus is the wish I believe
Comforts me through winter
And every season that He brings!
