A dream of mine has always been To know that I am loved, By one, perchance, that I find fair, Soul dancing in her hair. There is quick silver in her step And in her cheeks a rose, Her blush, a velvet valentine, Fragrance, complex like wine. Her laughter twinkles like the stars , Like fairy dust in air, Her beauty lies in gifts she brings, Sweetness like mountain springs. Her hands are warming like the sun, Her kindness melting stone, Symphonic rhythms bear her dreams Without shaming my schemes. What could it be she sees in me, God grant this is my pride, If in my arms she finds her rest, How could I feel more blessed?
