When I Craft a Poem

I can write some pretty darn good poems Have a place in a collection of verse But, sometimes, I do wallow in drivel Writing nonsense and, undoubtedly, worse! I love chic phrases dripping from my pen Indulging myself in words archaic Without even realizing it's true I write some stanzas that are prosaic. I feel so proud when I craft a poem, When lines intersect like stained mosaic. Written January 27, 2022 [another attempt in a different poetry form of a poem I wrote earlier today]

Thanks, Tom. This is the dizain version of a poem I wrote earlier on this subject. I think I like the other one better. Sometimes I will write a poem several times with different poetic forms just to see how it work.
