When Darkness Falls

When darkness falls upon the haunts of night
creatures big and small forget to slight
betwixt the moon and shadows of the eve,
I too am rendered nil
by the infamy of secrets never told
inside this earth based hide away
the grass lives moist;

Listen to this forest, rich and deep
where plucky feet of brave walk on

Despite the darkness
of the night,

the stars insist,
on shining
their own light.

You should never allow anyone to render you nil. You are as great poet. Hugs.

There is so much to imagine in the evening that cannot be fathomed in the light of day. Your poem reflects this Pixie Dust. "I too am rendered nil by the infamy of secrets never told " Right!
