What Might They Find There

Inadvertently, a door way to my innermost being was left ajar. And many from afar sought a view as if gazing upon a star. What might they find there, deep down in my soul? Would there be a much younger man looking really old? Surely all would observe an honest soul that was never sold. No! Never! Never! For I shall not be sent to that far place below. Would they check the books and conclude, not a single penny was stole? Or, perhaps someone would stumble upon an unwritten stroll. Would there be feelings and words left unexpressed, unheard, and untold? A heart and mind never ceasing their tug of war, and both refusing to fold? I don’t know, but they might, after much searching, be puzzled by one somewhat detached and cold. But before they render judgment on such a one, will they notice him playing his life given roll? In the center of right and left, it’s possible they’ll discover a heart of gold. That would be nice, if that golden heart was caught before it slipped through a hole. Perhaps they would notice in some situations, someone shy and not at all so bold. I’m certain that they would find a God connection, one obtained with a very pricey toll. 09132016 PS Contest, What Might They Find There, Frank Herrera
