What If

What if Jesus, presented us first, with the ones we considered lowest, the ones we affected on earth, but turned our heads, looking for something more important up ahead, those who were counting on us to hold their hands, to cry upon our shoulders. What if they greet us first? Would we surrender in friendship to the lowest on our list? Perhaps the final test! Do we love our Lord — our final rest? Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, as the good book tells us to do. The eyes on earth, looking for hope — for someone to care, desperate for friendship. ...or do you chase after P O P U L A R I T Y with a cell phone glued to the ear or fingers taped to a text? Did you forget to look up and see a human being right in front of you? Not judging! Did I too!? 2/27/2018

A very thought provoking verse Kim, Cell phone to the ear, there might be a human on the other end but there's a human being in front of you.Everyone promoting themselves on social media telling the world what they own and how good they are. Tom

I used to walk with this one woman across campus. We both in separate classes would be an afternoon preschool assistant and she always had the phone on her ear. Just one case!

What a potent message, Kim. I love your first stanza and indeed "Did you forget to look up and see a human being right in front of you?" A real attention getter.

Thanks, Line! I notice a lot of leadership will talk to you as they look for the next person. I try not to and hope I don’t fail at this. If I have gone on too quickly I circle back. We all need love!
