I am clothed in white. I’m used for a celebration. Uniting two souls for life, I am a lovely sight. But beware, if you try to hurt me; I’ll use prickly thorns, if I’m in harm's way. 03/13/2021

You tell the truth of a rose; there is a prickly side also. And of most people.

Dear Alexis, your poem is as ethereal as it is down to earth. I adore roses and I admire the beauty in your poem. “A thorn defends the rose, harming only those who would steal the blossom" - Chinese Proverb. Warmest wishes, my wonderful friend.. ~Susan

You speak the truth, Alexis. I have white roses in my garden. They are a treasure. I am about to order one called Shirley's Bouquet - white tipped in light blue! Best wishes for the contest! Blessings my friend.
