Water and Sky
WATER AND SKY
As a child, I learned a saying
It still remains with me
Since lazy, warm summer evenings
Up in the sky I'd see
A huge white moon shining bright
And it always intrigued me
And I would say of this sight
God bless the moon, and God bless me
As an adult on the island of Oahu
I would see a moon shining down
Upon an ocean of blue
With waves making a gentle sound
Causing memories of childhood days
When only the moon I could view
But here on grand display
I can see the ocean too
Seeing them together made me realize
That our Creator so grand
Placed such beauty before my eyes
And in utter awe I would stand
Watching this gorgeous display
I offered praise to God above
Who created the two in array
For me to view and to love
