Was It All a Dream
Was it All a Dream
I woke up from a dream,
Just silence did I find
Surrounded by tissue paper
That angels left behind,
In my dream I met a plane,
A lovely woman hugged me and then
There was quiche Lorraine and strawberries,
And then, come again?
There were twinkling lights
And a soft rain, I remember,
But then after all,
It is December.
A truck pulled up
Brought in a chair,
How happy I was
To sit down there, and then
There was a feast
Of a king’s quality,
A delicious array,
Laughing, hilarity.
Someone said “goodbye,”
I rubbed my eyes from my dream.
It’s over, I guess, but what is this?
I’m in a new easy chair, it seems.
