Waltztime - Dance With Contest

Was walking across the golden sands Could hear music on the breeze Eyes closed and with  shoes in hand I waltzed across the sand with ease Such fancy steps when i suddenly found  What felt like strong hands holding mine Fred Astaire was leading me around I was dancing in the film Swing Time. I whisked and chassis'd  like a pro I turned at the corners as i should My legs knew just where to go My heart beat with heavy thud. The music ended I opened my eyes I was all alone on that sandy shore I looked down to my surprise On my feet were the dance shoes I wore Now when I am lonely, I close my eyes To return to that glorious day When all alone i walked the sand that wonderful moment i can never repay Penned 28 June 2013
