O, the purple violet is the flower of my birth,
I adore its sweet tranquil spirituality:
such a humble flower to bring such strength.
It is one of the first spring flowers,
peaking its head out from beneath snow:
it has determination to grow anywhere wildly.
O, purple violets are the color of creativity,
I like how they linger in dappled shade or sun:
and grow even in stone with dignity and pride.
There is such wisdom in the pure purple hues,
I find this flower calming and dreamy:
and purple violets blessed me today to write these lines.
