Unwanted Violent Visitors
Ready to rest is everyone, even the sun
the day’s stress in fire, on the verge to burn.
The home’s tranquility, disappears in rapture
as masked ones storm a perceived greener pasture.
Hands with weapons, point in threats
forcing the already pressed mind to pour out sweat.
Raised voices turn the arena to a mini war
spilling out commands and questions, more and more.
Subsequent confusion dispense from a trembling spouse
as the fear hits hard on the nearby mouse.
Instructions to forcefully donate an undeserved seed
with the justification of being more in need.
Everyone in total surrender, no need for self esteem
even in the absolute obedience, hotter is the steam.
Releasing ones sweat, bitter is this bile
to the coveted, gun warns the body through the aisle.
Violence in all corners wearing a diamond ring
death carefully watch hoping to soon sing.
Giving in to their demands is bravery, written in pencil
avoiding fatal consequences needs no wise council.
The relief from their exodus goes deep
everyone is unharmed and safe, though gone is the sleep.
