When someone less fortunate begs from you, there's more to their pain than the eye can see. Maybe you should carefully think it through before angrily dismissing their plea. Just think how you would feel if that were you; dig deep down and search your heart for pity. And consider the hell they're going through, panhandling on the streets of the city. By understanding the process of fear, you take responsibility for it. And disarm hate with a smile and a tear, two emotions that form a perfect fit. Charity is a selfless endeavor, yet you get much more than you ever give. And you don't need to be rich or clever, it's simply a matter of how you live. Imagine yourself walking in their shoes, and take yourself out of your comfort zone. Your demeanor can ignite a short fuse, for it's more than just your words; it's the tone. Now, try to imagine how you would feel if a stranger took the time to help you. You would thank God that angels are real; yet angels among men are rare and few.

Prophetically smart words of advice, I know that I will be more delicate and kind now.
