Under An Oak Tree
Standing right under
The roof of a huge oak tree,
My thoughts meander,
And through the foot of thoughts’ roots,
Know not how flowers and fruits!

Poet’s notes: I actually saw the picture, the branches of a huge Oak kissing the ground. And I was reminded of many such scenes under Banyan trees in India. And from the thoughts that came to my mind, this Tanka was crystallized.
