Uncharted Seas
I now walk along the beach alone.
The moonlight reflected upon the sea,
brings memories that I don't want to own.
Time when there was more to life than just me.
So many years we shared, almost a lifetime.
We set sail to discover uncharted seas.
Adventures and events, a life sublime.
Days that were full, not like any of these.
Splashing in the surf, I miss a hand to hold.
A silly thing that I miss the most.
No warm touch, as days turn cold.
Your shadow lingers, your presence like a ghost.
The night sky with one brilliant star.
Brings a moment of pain to my heart.
Our shining star, so close, now beyond far.
I am still here, though life for me came apart.
