Two-Edged, Two-Faced

Your words express what you believe Your voice is what you play you perceive Yet, your words and voice might be naive You need a card today For you to use any day And whenever you want you can throw it away You think everything is easy and simple But you never see one's dimple For all you care about is how to get rid of your pimple Sometimes I woke alone along a lake With sunlight protecting my back And the wonderful breeze that always keeps me awake You are two-edged You are two-edged I do not want you as a friend For you are never truthful.... You are never careful...

I love this poem with its angry honesty and the fourth verse is a real gem. Thank you for all your lovely comments, which mean so much to me. Few things give greater pleasure than knowing you've made someone smile. Your friend, Nigel

Ouch, I would not want to be the person you so skillfully describe. This a vengefully wonderful verse. Good rhyme scheme too. Nice job.

this is a good poem, it is true many people let us down in this world saying the things they think we want to here but in this life not many friends are not sincere, there is a saying that if we find just one true friend in the world we are lucky because many are two faced many do not tell the truth but thats why I stick to my one true friend Jesus the one and only true friend in our lifetime, amen, blessings to you from diane
