Twenty-Twenty Year of Woe

Twenty- Twenty a mere mirage? Here’s the view from my garage. One hundred seventy years ago, The mad poet Edgar Poe; Posed this question as he screamed. “Is all that we see or seem, But a dream within a dream?” An honest question asked it seems; In anguish, as hope had flown his scene. In Twenty-Twenty we live by memes And narratives that must take wing. Facts, opinions, truth and lies; Differ for the left and right eye. Blue the sky, so too the ocean. Media no longer accepts that notion. If your blue doesn’t fit their news; They claim your views to be untrue. So, if one sings in the sky choir. The ocean folks see them as liars. How one wishes it all but a dream. Yet, all too real these divisive schemes. Please take heart, be brave and bold! For this has all been foretold. Leaders of hate and hypocrisy; Woe to the Scribes and Pharisees.
