Turkey, Turkey
Turkey, Turkey
Turkey, turkey on the table
How you lie there, meek and stable
I will carve you with delight
Separate your dark meat from your light
Turkey, turkey moist and chewy
Extra gravy makes you gooey
I will consume you all night long
Won’t stop chewing till the break of dawn
Turkey, turkey warm and tasty
It wasn't just the Pilgrims who chased thee
I tracked you down with a musket gun
Then hoisted you up like a prize I'd won
Turkey, turkey please forgive me
But you’re much tastier than fried stork kidney
Your memory will linger for at least a year
Till it’s time, once again, for my hunting gear
