Top Old To Visit

My grandparents are too old to visit, the girl tells me. I ask how old, and discover they are ten years younger than I am. She laughs when I reveal this. They are old people old, she insists. Why don’t you get to know them? I suggest. They are too old, she says, dismissively. Not understanding the irrationality of it. I am 68. They are 58 and 57. What am I missing? They ACT old she says.
