Too Early

There beside the entrance To my neighborhood Whole Foods, Were Christmas trees lined up, Perhaps to brighten people’s moods. I’d gotten used to seeing trees Right after Turkey Day, Which always seemed too early For a holiday display. Yet now it is a week before Thanksgiving Day instead, So those who buy their trees now Will, by Christmas, find them dead.

The Chinese have got it figured, Ilene. Our tree was made in China years ago and it’s still green even when it’s been in a dark box for eleven months. You’ve got to hand it to them… they know their stuff. ;-) Terry

I thought they injected them with venom to preserve them? Lots of spiders per tree. . . . .Aloha!

Well, at least they waited until after Halloween this year. At least here, they did. And it's ironic, perhaps...I recall when I was a kid we couldn't wait to put up a tree at least two weeks before Christmas, and sometimes even sooner...but then the day after, that tree was history.

Then again, the stores will make more money. As people will have to buy a 2nd tree.

Very likely, Ilene, unless they have a stand that holds water. Actually, some of the pines start dropping needles as soon as they are cut. It pays to choose a Christmas tree very carefully.
