Together We May Till New Virgin Ground Each night my muse asks me, what have you done. Have you inked pages for joy or just for fun, I command you do so before you sleep Give Love, Joy or Sorrow but make it deep! As heart and soul opens, give equal measures Compare life's miseries to its treasures, Describe moon's brilliance and its sweetest shine As gifts that enter other's hearts and thine! Impress this world and in its destined Fate Birth true words and scenes readers can relate, Ask me for answers that elude your mind Give honor and respect, receive in kind! Together we may till new virgin ground Enjoy play of harps and angelic sounds, Stroll romance's gardens, adore its flowers Increase pleasures and our writing powers! If in this trek your heart strays to the dark Do so with intense flames, not a mere spark, Write soul's worries and its dearest of dreams For giving of heart and soul oft redeems! Robert J. Thank you my friend. Poetry to me has always been a great blessing. I lived a wild life as a young man and also experienced many heartaches, sorrows and disappointments. Poetry gave me an outlet to express that.

At least your muse asks; mine just gives orders; often frantic ones until everything's on paper. Well done write.

My good friend, do not ever think that my muse is an angel. For she is a demanding and vicious vixen when the mood strikes her! And some weeks/months it strikes her often. Thanks for visiting and commenting.

Thank you my good friend. Always a pleasure to read your comments and your poetry. This was not written for any contest. This was me obeying my muse and my receiving her just admonishments.

So much to adore in your conversation with your muse, Robert. It's amazing how speedily you write lovely rhymes. More so, as all lines are ten syllables!
