To Surrender
Is love found dancing in soft gray twilight?
As lovers cling to hope and their desire
Giving yet still needing, they'll search the night
Find hungry eyes feast well in the soul's fire
To feel trust certain, empty hands clasp tight
Emotion bought by wisdom will protect
Tender love boards an uncompromised flight
To a place where want and need intersect
In a sweat filled cauldron of flesh and bone
Love's breath brings music to the atmosphere
Wrapped in romance with its sweetest cologne
The universe shrinks as old wounds disappear
To render moments when love shows splendor
To touch the face of love, to surrender
