To Kill a Metaphor
Seaward cliff
Spilling bath
Tangled nooses
Off the path
On the tracks
Driving fast
Cutting clean
Erase the past
Arcing strife
Drowned in snow
Shooting through
Poisoned woe
Dreamy pills
Shattered glass
At the peak
Of life’s impasse
