This New Years Five Resolutions

1. EMBRACE the things I hate. Let go of these disturbing issues and find a way to relate! I am a lost soul. 2. RESET, turn back time and wrestle through this bad karma of mine reinvent me and be a... 3. GOOD INFLUENCE on the grandchildren, their husbands, and wives and teach them about heroes in our lives. 4. SWITCH OFF hate radio! Since The Fairness Act left the scene—It’s no longer entertainment—It’s vitriolic and obscene. 5. ACCEPTENCE is key. Without love it's empty insanity, I want to be whole.

I am a day early, but I wanted to wish you a happy one-year anniversary at Soup, it is a better place thanks to the flavors you bring to the bowl: insight, positivity, kindness and support. These resolutions are worthy of all of us, I particularly like "Acceptance is key" and "find a way to relate". Merry Christmas to you and yours ~ John

Dear John, I am surely receptive to your sage words, poetry and poetry muses "Invictus" and Kipling's "If". We are the masters of our fates the captains of our souls, to paraphrase Kipling. A year has transpired, and I have found that it takes patience to empathize then accept then embrace with some more than others. I have discovered that I love to research and write about histories of various cultures. Many are stunned to learn about pieces of history they've never known. And fiction. Most of my poems are fiction, I enjoy it very much! Merry Christmas ~Anaya
