This American Girl

With long blond hair And eyes of blue This American girl Would light up any room With a complexion so fair She walks tall and proud When i see her picture I want to sing out loud If you happen to see This American girl She has much more beauty Than a string of pearls Intelligent, thoughtful Romantic and kind With a heart of gold Pure and refined To this American girl At Christmas time I'll be thinking of you At Auld Lang Syne http://www.thehighlanderspoems.com/carolyn.php

I agree with the poet who liked that last stanza. Very fitting to post at this time of year, and a happy new year to you, James.

Dear James, your friendship and support in 2009 helped me make it through a tough year. I'm so grateful you came into my life and brought me so much joy with our co-writes and ability to share work, secrets and a special bond that not even the huge ocean can break. I'll return home January 8 and can't wait to write with you again. Much love always, Carolyn
