The Wishing Well
Drop a coin in exchange for a dream
Is it fame wealth health love or revenge
Something selfish something wise
Something to share someone to care
Just a hope or a prayer a dream or a wish
All in a toss of a coin to the bottom
Bottom of the well beneath its waters
Coins in exchange for pieces of souls
Thousands of coins each a desire to bestow
Year after year the coins it collects
A toss for fun to others too real
Whose wish well it grant
The Wishing Well
