The War Is Over
I lay down my sword
No need to fight anymore
I put down the judgement I once felt
I am not looking back
I walk away
Not in defeat
But in letting go
And moving on in life
Taking a different path
Finding new strength
You were not the best for me
You brought me down
You did not compliment me
You tore me apart and all you did was take from me
So long to the destruction that we called a relationship
I have a life ahead of me
And you are not a part of it.
